One highlight I'd love to pass on is the outstanding service I received from Nicole (George?? I think) I usually see Catherine (who is awesome too by the way) but she wasn't in that day. Due to the private nature of the areas being treated I was thrown off a little! There's only so many people you want to show your bits to hahaha. Whether Nicole sensed my nervousness/shyness or if she is just always so amazing, I was absolutely thrilled. She went out of her way (I felt) to reassure me and make me feel so comfortable and at ease. She gave me some great tips to cope with the pain and really coached me through it and even took my mind off of it at some points.
My experience with your service staff so far has been wonderful and they definitely deserve some praise. :)1 Previous Review: Show all »

I never know what to do with my hair, so I tend to let the hairstylist take charge of my cut. Overall she did a good job, I really like the cut. I would definitely go back.
The atmosphere in the place was great. I really liked the modern style of the salon. -

I usually go to Regis Hair Salon when it's time for a cut or colour but I was going to a concert one night with a friend she told me she was going to go get her hair done at this Roxx place so I decided to phone and book an appointment and give it a try. I also wanted to get a trim and get my bangs cut.
I walked in to a very trendy, clean looking salon. I didn't have to wait long and I really liked the stylist who did my hair as she was very friendly and fun/easy to chat with. She knew exactly what I was looking for and understood what I was talking about (surprisingly so as I am not the best at describing what I want done to my hair). She was quick and she did a really good job styling my hair the way I wanted it (and she was picky about it - like she actually cared about the way it turned out!?!?! I liked that cuz I am super picky about my hair when I get it styled and usually end up disappointed with it).
So I get up to pay and I'm just bracing myself - this place looks really classy so I was expecting high prices. Not really at all - it was less than what I usually pay at Regis and I was waaaaay happier with the quality of service there! I definitely recommend this place and will for sure be back next time! Sorry Regis but you have been replaced!!! -

Didn't review last time, so I thought I'd review based on the last two experiences at Roxx.
My partner and I decided to check them out for a full spa day the first time based on a bunch of our friends saying how great the place was. We went for a 120 minute couples massage, then both of us getting manicures, then myself getting a microdermabrasion and my partner a haircut and colour.
We were greeted, taken to our beautiful lounge area, and we changed into our robes, had some wine and waited for our massages. Our 2 massage therapists brought us to our room, which was lit with candles and smelled really good. We both got an hour and a half massage, which was UNREAL. Both massage therapists asked us what style of massage we preferred and if they should target certain areas - PERFECT. I got a combo deep tissue/therapeutic massage emphasizing my shoulders and back, while my partner had a therapeutic massage focusing on his back. We got whole body treatments, but they did spend more time in the areas we asked for. We had a blast with them - we laughed and talked and had so much fun, on top of the massage.
The manicures following were great - I'd only had one before so I'm not a connoisseur but again we had fun with them while we had a really cool manicure, with hot wax and a hand massage with scented oil etc - awesome.
My partner went for a cut and colour after and it looked GREAT. I had a microdermabrasion which felt amazing the next day. My skin glowed and we both felt like a million bucks.
We had such a great time that day we booked for another 120 minute couples massage 2 days ago. PHENOMENAL. We had a couple mimosas in the lounge before going into another fantastic massage.
This place is awesome. Do yourself a favour and either book yourself in, or treat someone to it. What a great experience. We'll DEFINITELY be back.

As one door closes another one opens....Salon + Spa roxx was established in May 2011 when Pure Elements closed it's doors. A new team of owners stepped in, and proudly welcomed back the team and loving clients.
The roxx team has made some great changes to the layout and decor, and is proud of what has become of an unfortunate situation.
