Review from Janine T.
Hmmm perhaps it was too good to be true. I made an appointment for this Saturday over the phone about 5 days ahead of time. I arrived 5 minutes early and was told to hang up my coat and have a seat at the nail bar; the place was pretty much empty client-wise, I believe there were 3 of us in total. I sat at said nail bar for 25 minutes waiting for my nail technician while the receptionist stood around doing nothing and 2 other staff members busied themselves taking down Christmas decorations and filling up various decorative bowls with coloured beads. The TV was 'broken' but once my nails were almost dry, the receptionist realised that actually, the TV was just off the entire time; brilliant. Not impressed.
I am only giving them 3 stars because once my nail tech did come by to do my nails, she did a pretty good job and she was friendly, helpful and the place is super clean. Not her fault that I was left sitting by a drafty window wondering 'what the heck?'1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Rosi R.
I had one of the worst mani-pedi in my life in August. My friends from work and I decided to go for a mani-pedi after a long day at the office. The place was fine, I heard mixed reviews about Rouge Bar but wanted a first had experience. My work friends had a good experience but I did not. The girl was so anxious to leave that she did my mani-pedi in 20 min.
When she got to scrubbing my heels, she was hitting the sensitive skin on my ankles. Of course I told her but she looked at me like she didn' t understand, so I said it both in English and French, she couldn't be bothered since she was too busy watching television. Then came the manicure, meanwhile my friends are still getting their feet rubbed and getting pampered. Keep in mind we all started at the same time. Then she started removing my cuticle and cut so much on one finger that she made me bleed. Just to mentioned how quick she was, I waited half an hour for my friends to finish. We did not select a basic manicure rather, one of their elaborate packages.
I have been spoiled with the manis and pedis I get in NYC, and I've had tons of mani-pedis in my life, this was by far the most horrific experience. I spoke the owner and receptionist and said that they would speak to her but who knows what happened. If only I can remember her name. If you want your skin intact and good customer services...beware. Overrated, painful, amateur manicurists, and awful customer services, this place is not worth your money. BTW, I had scabs on my ankles from where she scrapped my skin for an entire week after that experience. -

Overrated.
Poor service.
Crowded and cramped.
Rotten job.
There was an insect crawling on the sofa.
They were playing different episodes of Sex and the City on their TV screens, so everywhere I was looking I was assaulted by all those boring people on TV acting out garbage.
I'm not coming back. -

This nail salon gets an extra star for being open until 8pm 7 days a week. Being from LA where I'm used to everything being open all the time, this is a big plus for me!
It's a nice place, comfy couches and leg rests for the pedi's. The mani table and chairs are a little high and too close together in my opinion. All they play on all their TV's is sex in the city, which can get tiresome. They've got lots of OPI colours to choose from. The prices are reasonable, and the work is as I would expect.
I definitely would go back, mainly due to their convenient hours of operation. -

I needed a pedicure and walked in to this place after being sent away from nearby nail salon. Had a very friendly nail technician who did a nice french pedicure as I watched Hairspray the movie on their TV. As I was walking home a little boy stepped on my foot and smudged my big toe. I quickly ran back for a touch up and was thankful that the same tech was available to touch up my toe. My only complaint is that I love the massage chairs that you find in most nail salons in the US.
