Orange, CA
I had the pleasure of staying here for business for a total of 2 nights. The facilities are amazing. I was fortunate to have a floor level room that had direct access to the pool area through roman doors. The bath towels were soft and plush.
This is a small boutique hotel with nice ammenities. The gym is open to the public (for a fee). I took a morning yoga class there and the instructor was friendly but it was a beginners/stretching class more than anything with a bunch of retirees.
Nobu, the Japanese restaurant is within the premise. -

The Rosewood Crescent is a true 5 star hotel from check-in to check-out. Its in an awesome location right off the trolley line. So you're a quick walk or ride to numerous restaurants, bars, clubs, convenience stores, juice bars, etc. The area is clean and safe for 2 ladies walking alone at night. There are many expensivee lofts, apartments, condos in the area. So, the entire area just felt 'safe'.
The hotel.. As soon as you drive onto the property you see the huge gates. The place looks like a mansion. The driveway is lined with expensive cars. Drive up in a rental and you'll definitely feel out of place. The hotel has high end shops, a Starbucks (YES!), and a spa on property. The entire property is gorgeous! The rooms are immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable. I opened the balcony doors every morning to let fresh air in and to watch the sun come up from the comfort of my bed... So amazing..
I used turn-down service every night. Room service was pricey but the food was great. One night i had a 'stalker'... Strange guy from down the hall kept staring at me... later while in my room there was a knock on the door and i look out the peephole and its him.... i immediately called downstairs and the lady was very concerned and helpful. She sent hotel security up right away. The guy had left but security stayed on the floor and walked the floor that night. I greatly appreciated this.
My only complaint about the hotel is that the guys out front.. Valet/Bell-hop looked at us as if we didnt belong the entire time we were there. Never a smile, only a frown and a condescending attitude everytime we asked a question. Arriving at the hotel i had to struggle with bags and open the door myself as a couple of guys looked on.. Once inside, i was standing in the lobby and watched several blond (Housewives of OC-type) ladies walk up and the guys almost broke their necks opening the doors and asking the ladies if they needed assistance... wow. However, i didnt let their attitudes taint my view of the property.
This hotel is definitely PRICEY. No doubt. I was there on business (ie: corporate dime) If im in town on business ill definitely stay here again. However, if I have to pay.. Im not staying here.Comment from Adrian N. of Rosewood Crescent Hotel 5/9/2012

my best friend just stayed at the Crescent last night. she was in Dallas to see me since I moved from Cali. both me and Kara have stayed in some of the best places in the country. the service and room service were ok. but we were not too impressed with the decor. it was a little outdated, especially for the amount of money she payed to stay there. three stars is not bad, just update. next time, I will have my guest room ready next time Kara comes to Texas.

Was here on a business trip and got a really good rate for this top-notch hotel. Nice, comfortable room, good service. Was only here one night so I can't say much more, but would definitely stay here again when in Dallas.

This place is just lovely. One of my friends got married there in March (last weekend in fact!) and let's just say we drove through the beautiful gates in a crappy rental car, but I felt like Cinderella stepping out of a carriage.
The wedding was beautiful. In their glass atrium, or whatever it may have been called, it was essentially a narrow room surrounded all by glass which looked into their beautiful gardens. The ballroom was transformed into a beautiful reception. The food wasn't the best, but it's wedding food, I didn't expect much.
Oh, did I mention that any NBA team that travels to play the Mavericks stays there? So I saw the Golden Gate Warriors (Stephen Curry! Acie Law! Monta Ellis! David Lee!) and the night before I saw the San Antonio Spurs (Tony Parker!!!!!).
Oh yes, we also had tea in their "Club" and it was really really top notch. Wonderful china, great service and very tasty tea foods and desserts. -

Really pretty hotel.
Parking can be a mess and/or expensive. You can self park underneath or valet.
The hotel is really nice but also pricey.
The spa is probably the best part. It is in the basement and is top of the line everything.
The hotel is across a small courtyard from the Crescent office building and then on the other side has a number of high end shops and restaurants. -

Check in was easy breezy. We were shown to our room which was magnificent and HUGE. We had a large party (over 30 guests) and not one had a problem getting in (which could be a good thing or bad thing).
Since we were staying there for a birthday, the Crescent sent us chocolate covered strawberries, which were delicious.
The morning after the party, as you can imagine, the room was not the cleanist. We cleaned it up pretty good but probably had over a large bag full of trash. The doorman was super nice and helped get the room back in order. He was probably expecting a hefty tip, which he got.
Our overall stay was awesome, it does worry me that so many of our guests were allowed up to the room without us telling the front desk or getting any approval though. -

I was in Dallas for a conference co-hosted by Morgan Stanley and since their Dallas operation was housed in the Crescent Club (building across the way) we were booking our rooms at $250/night at the Crescent Court hotel. What a steal! I checked on the web, the rooms ran around $550/night for a standard room.
The lobby area was beautiful, gigantic, spacious, and well appointed. I judge upscale hotels on how well the staff and crew work with you upon arrival.
A bell hop took our bags, a manager directed us to check in, the representative at the front desk checked us in within 3 minutes. Here's how a 5 star hotel operates:
- A bell hop escorted us upstairs to our room
- Opened the door
- Unloaded our bags,
- Walked us through our fairly spacious room
- Pointed out the mini bar, the view, the bathroom
- He offered to shine my shoes
- He called down to a restaurant to make sure it stayed open
- And a couple of other things that I can't remember
Bed: Nice large queen size bed, down pillows, pillowtop mattress, 600 thread count sheets
Bathroom: Bathrobes, 4 towels, hair dryer, phone next to the toilet
Some pluses: Large 40"+ flat screen TV, separate table/area for the misses to get ready in.
A gorgeous hotel, spacious rooms, a very classy establishment, and a a great experience. -

Definitely a cut above other top hotels. The service here in amazing, I was always properly addressed by my name. Pretty impressive.
Our hotel room was incredible. We had huge double doors that opened to a balcony. We overlooked the outdoor pool, and even though it was pretty cold out at night I just had to swim a few underwater laps in the pool.
The bed was like heaven and the food was out of this world.
Just sitting in the lobby and soaking it all up while reading a book was a vacation.
It's really great to experience a truly high-end hotel. You'll note major differences between a place like this and even a Four Season's for example. It's really the attention to detail that sets a truly high-end hotel apart. In our room the moldings and baseboards were made from heavy solid wood. The furniture was all solid and luxurious. The bedding was layers thick, the pillows were down and the room smelled great. Nothing was marred or chipped, no smudges or wear and tear on the walls in the entry or on the door as you'll see even at nice places. The bathroom was luxurious as well. It was like a master bath in a mansion, nothing here said we bought 500 of these lighting fixtures from China.
The ground floor of the hotel has an Armani store and a Nobu restaurant as well as other dining establishments. -

This hotel is beautiful. The lobby is elegant and spacious with several sitting areas throughout. I attended a 3-day meeting at this property and found the meeting rooms to be comfortable and pleasant to sit in for 8 hours which is sooo important. The staff was courteous, helpful and friendly.
We had our breakfast and lunch meals here and the food was outstanding. Set up buffet style, but was fresh and served at the appropriate temperatures.
The sleeping rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated in earth tones. My room had french doors that opened to a balcony, which was nice to allow the fresh October air in. I didn't get to enjoy the pool or spa services. Damn work! But, maybe next time.
Two reasons for not rating this hotel 5 stars - one is that my room key wouldn't work, this happened on two separate occasions and turned out to be the sensor unit on the door was malfunctioning and the second is that I dropped something on the floor in my room and when I bent down to get it, I found a water bottle underneath my bed. -

Checked in because of a power outage in my neighborhood. Overall very happy. However the service has been up and down. Not sure if I would stay here again. I'm much happier and treated better as a Spa & Club member.

Gorgeous space hiding a bit of a nickeled-and-dimed business. Plush rooms, comfortable beds, great views, great service. Unfortunately, internet costs $10/day, and coffee (the fuel that makes the world run) is available on a limited basis at the Starbucks' downstairs (closed on Sundays, BOOOOOO!!!!). Appreciate that there is a reasonable "self-park" alternative to the hefty $22/day valet fee. Overall a pretty nice experience. Maybe instead of a mini-bar, put in a coffee maker and free wi-fi the compound? I'd move in!

Loved staying here for my birthday!
Check in was easy. And when I got into my room there was a chocolate treat for me along with a couple of birthday card/letter from the hotel managers.
My room was very nice with a king size bed and comfy pillows. I had a good nights sleep.
I also had a massage at the spa that left me feeling very relaxed. Good times. -

This hotel is top notch. I stayed here recently for a conference. Easy check in, great workout facilities, and very accomodating staff during the conference. The hotel is in a cute little plaza with wonderful restaurants nearby.

Sooooo nice! I love when the big pharma companies put me up in super nice hotels that I would never pony up the bucks to stay in! Add to that the free booze and requisite partying with random strangers and you have my charmed job. This hotel has friendly staff, beautiful rooms and gorgeous shops and restaurants. I wouldn't mind if they sent me here again.

Although I had been to Palominos in the Crescent before, I had never actually gotten a chance to walk through it until last week when I was there for a party. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. The staff made sure to have vegetarian options available for the dinner-- mushrooms, yucca, avocado sauce, it was excellent (they could have given you a little more of it, since the meat eaters had a huge portion of chicken). The dessert was a creme brulet actually shaped like a crescent moon with berries and chocolate. I would definitely throw a party here or tell someone to stay at this hotel. Everything was a pleasant experience.

My review will be short as was our stay! After 20 minutes of waiting for our room to be ready (we checked in at 6PM, no excuse) We checked in on our wedding anniversary and our suite was on the inside of the court over the valet. Nearly all the inside rooms are... It was loud as horns from the cars being locked by the valet were constantly going off. We counted 12+ horns in the 30 minutes we were there. Add to that the planes constantly flying over from Love Field and it was really bad. The room was old-fashion and not as nice as many other supposed four or five star hotels. The manager on call try to help but was unable to resolve the issue. We then went and checked into the W Hotel at Victory Center and had a great experience. See my review for it as well.

This is my favorite hotels in town because they basically have everything closeby!!! The decor is classical french- barrowing architectural inspiration from the Fontainbleu castle...Nobu is housed here, Stanley Korshak is just next door and their SPA has been written about for its over- the- top services! There's a pool in a quiet alcove and rooms whose windows could overlook the Tour Eiffel...Simply one of the best Dallas has to offer!

I stayed at the Dallas Rosewood Crescent for three nights. The lobby and reception area are top notch, valet service is very prompt and everyone is very courteous. The rooms themselves are spacious and well appointed, if very slightly dated. Nice 42" LCD, good working desk. Great AC. The beds are 5-star, very comfortable. Wish I could have slept in longer. Two minor problems: The shower curtain is mounted too close to the bathtub wall, causing it to stick to you as you turn around when showering unless you are very skinny. The dual showerhead was nice, but I wish I could have had better control of the temperature. You could choose between Arctic cold and Fires of Gondor, but it was hard to dial it in somewhere in between. Nice mini-bar and costs of items were normal (as mini-bars go...) Did not get a chance to enjoy the pool or spa, but apparently the spa is rather well thought of. Room service delivers Starbucks coffee. I would stay there again. 4th floor view was meh. WiFi isn't free, but really should be at these rates.

Both times I've been here, my room wasn't ready. But who cares, since they gave me an upgrade to the 2-floor corner suite! Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, but small pool.
