I bought three Rogers Cell Phones from this particular location in 2005 and the staff was very helpful. My major problems began to occur after three years of service with Rogers Wireless (which at that time I had spent over $10000 for services in those 3 years). I also need to add that I had reoccurring billing issues almost every month, over the 3 years, from questionable billing practices, to mysterious charges - I had called the Better Business Bureau twice on Rogers due to their horribly inaccurate billing and disgusting customer service issues.
WARNING - ROGERS wireless representatives are extortionists and will try and suck every cent they can out of a customer, even after their contract has ended.
My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Mexico when I received a message that we owed money on our account (I had underestimated the bill and underpaid by around $20). We were a month away from our 3 year term ending with Rogers and they proceeded to cut off our phone service while we were in Mexico. I came back home from our trip and paid the amount owing, and also called to discontinue service after our 3 year contact was finished, due to my displeasure with all thing ROGERS at that point.
Five months after our 3 year term was over, I received a horrendous bill from Rogers in the amount of $1100 for services - even though our cell phones were discontinued and rendered useless from the point of our contract ending. They stated that I never contacted them to discontinue service (even though our phones were no longer working).
I refuse to pay for this bill because I was under the impression that once I closed my account that I shouldn't have been charged a CENT and also I wasn't able to use our phones for the 5 months they were charging us for, which is EXTORTION. I also refuse to call the BBB about this problem, because all they seem to do is contact the company and try and have it resolved in that way...which obviously hadn't helped the last two times I had contacted them - nothing was ever resolved, if anything, it just got worse....
My advise to anyone looking for a cell phone, DON'T SIGN A CONTRACT and DON'T USE ROGERS services!!!!
