If it's one thing I like, it's when my friends make me custom made soaps. I have these wonderful blokes in jolly old England who promised me some custom made soap, but strangely enough I didn't see any special packages waiting for me from overseas.
So instead of stinking, I ordered some Rocky Mountain Soap from Canada. Hey...beats Rocky Mountain Oysters!
The lady on the phone was so nice and my ordered came a little later than I wanted but at least I GOT IT, which is more than I can say for those blokes. And BTW, I love this soap! -

Have to agree with the others here and say that this is probably THE place to get all your skin and hair care needs! I've been to the Mayfair location a few times and there's an older gentleman who was always there. He's really helpful and genuinely seems to want to help you choose the right product.. not sure if he's the owner or not :) I was actually looking for a salt scrub that had all natural ingredients. I had been looking at a ton of products from different places, but none of them really satisfied my criteria (I was being pretty picky, I admit) but it's pretty amazing that a lot of places seem to advertise natural ingredients and still have parabens and sulfates in their ingredients list.
I bought their salt scrub, which is really thick and pasty compared to other ones I've had. It will make your skin feel awesome. So good, I gave it to my mom and she's really happy with it. At $20, it costs more than salt scrubs I've bought before, but I like the ingredients and what the store is promoting so I would definitely buy it again. -

I set out with a mission today which was to see first hand if The Rocky Mountain Soap Company really deserves to be continually regarded as one of the best soap companies in the world. Lucky for me they are located located here in Victoria BC Canada. Within 10 seconds of entering the store I knew it was going to be okay having high expectations and was excited to explore their customer appreciation and open house taking place on this Saturday May 22, 2010. The Nice thing about going in the store is you are instantly exposed to all sorts of amazing smells and really soothing aroma.
So what are the chances that they have all these great products but still, most importantly, believe in extraordinary customer service? and....Yep, 2 for 2 so far and just as I was ready to start exploring through the store a really nice and friendly staff member, Jessica, asked me how she could help me. It sounds really simple but it can be so hard to find businesses that truly care about their customers and it showed. We then proceeded to teach me how to make my own custom bath salts that I got to take home with me. For my first purchase I just started with a bottle of natural liquid soap and even got to test it out in the store. One of the things I like about the soap is that it lathers so thick so you really don't have to use too much and my hands smelt so great after. -

Rocky Mountain Soap was started in Canmore, Alberta. We use only natural ingredients to produce our products. Our Victoria store is wholly owned and operated by Kazuyo and Scott, who moved to Victoria and set up the store at Mayfair 3 years ago.
Meet the Business Owner: Kazuyo I.
Kazuyo came to Canada 10 years ago and worked at the assistant manager in Rocky Mountain Soap's award winning Banff store for several years. She then struck out on her own and built the Victoria store in 2007, which she owns and manages.
