A friend of mine told me that I simply had to check out this store.  Upon walking in, I was greeted by a girl offering a small sample of one of three soaps: orange juice, pumpkin, and seaweed.  Free samples? Yes please!

I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful everything was in the store.  The store itself is very bright and organized.  All of the soaps smell wonderful, but none of the scents are overpowering.  One thing I really like is that they price the soaps based on weight.  Not all soap bars are created equal, and I'm really glad that Rocky Mountain Soap Company acknowledges that.

I ended up buying a lemon-lime soap bar, and you can guarantee that I'll be back for more.

Love their products!  They are the real deal when it comes to sourcing and using natural ingredients (for the most part) as I am pretty picky about what I put on my skin.  I have proudly converted two people I know to the line (my mom and a friend who also needed a soap for her eczema) :)

The store has an inviting layout and friendly staff.  I started using lemongrass soap after staff recommendation and it has made such a difference -- my skin looks amazing (and it has cleared up!).

Products I highly recommend: Lemongrass soap (for adult acne sufferers), pumpkin soap (for eczema sufferers) and their eye cream.  They've recently done a product revamp on their skincare line so not sure if their eye cream has stayed the same (quality/results wise).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this store.  They sell products that are healthy, natural, smell lovely and feel great! It just doesn't get any better.  The sales staff is always super nice, friendly and helpful.  I popped my head in while shopping in South Granville and ended up buying nearly all of my Christmas presents here. My family and friends love their goodies as much as I do!

RMSC actually converted me to facial soap!  I use the avocado soap and I love it! It has a soft, sweet green tea scent and makes my skin really soft and clean. The body butter is ridiculous! Luxurious and deliciously smelly.  I also like the little tubes it comes in.  You don't have to stick your fingers in a tin and risk getting way too much. I'm addicted to the lip balm. I have one in coconut and two in apricot.  It's just that good! I can't risk running out of it!

They also carry a few other lines like Pacifica candles from California and tubes of mud masks from BC.

I've been shopping at Rocky Mountain Soap Company for a few years now, and I absolutely love it. About a year ago, it was featured on David Suzuki's website when he was doing his "dirty dozen" chemicals in cosmetics campaign; Rocky Mountain Soap Company uses none of these ingredients in any of their products. It's nice not to have to scan through the ingredient list while shopping here, because you know there's nothing bad for you in their products.

My personal favourite items are the lemongrass hand & body wash and their grapefruit body butter. They also make a nice detox salt bath and face cream. Their prices are very reasonable (comparable to the Body Shop), and their products are way better than the "natural" and "organic" ones that you can buy in the natural food section of the grocery store, or in organic food markets, which consequently still often contain chemicals off the "dirty dozen" list.

Rocky Mountain Soap Company is definitely worth a visit for anyone in Vancouver or the 'burbs. When I was living up at the SFU campus, I would commute to South Granville JUST to shop here -it's that good.

Yesterday I rushed to visit after work, and made it there 20 minutes before closing. Rachel, the girl working there was very welcoming and helpful, not making me feel rushed at all. What a sweetie.

The purpose of the visit was to nab a particularly delicious holiday item, the vanilla candy cane body butter. Unfortunately, it was sold out, but the store is receiving another shipment of them soon, so she took down my name and number, and is holding one until I can pick it up. Now that's service!

The couple who founded RMSC deserve a big, squishy hug. This place is such a gem. It still blows my mind that everything is 100% natural, yet is not expensive. The essential oil lip balms are a measly $4 and make your kisser feel like silk.

I wandered out with another little bag of goodies. RMSC also has a rewards program that never expires. Sweet!

Excellent product - especially the liquid soap.

However, you need to be in Burnaby.  It's too far for me to travel, just for soap :)  I'm serious.  Open up another branch, or sell your product to other spa's.

    Thank you :)

I originally went there because I had a groupon.  Now I go back twice a year to stock up.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the summer lemonade.  I have everything in it because it smells soo good.

I also went down and got some of the mandarin and vanilla candy cane winter edition scents.  The lip balm is a truly decadent treat for your lips.

I also use these as hand soaps for all my sinks as we have severe eczema in the family and these absolutely do not cause rashes in our family, only moisturizing goodness.

The only problem I have is choosing which soap to use first!

I love their products, helpful staff, and yummy yummy goodies. All of their products that I've bought I have loved. I daily use the mint lip balm, I love their spearmint-kelp soap, and I even have been using their all-natural deodorant. The deodorant does work -- I have to make sure it gets the right coverage and dries first, but otherwise it's good.

I'm a big fan of all-natural skincare as well as aromatherapy so when I found The Rocky Mountain Soap Company I was truly in heaven.

This company stocks a huge selection of natural soaps made out of some of the most delicious smelling essential oils available. They also sell a gorgeous smelling hand butter, which can be a bit greasy but is perfect for dry skin, and their Jasmine roll-on perfume smells delish.

Additionally, this fantastic environmentally friendly company sells sensational soy-based candles made by a brand called Pacifica. Try their Frangipani and Waikiki Pikake varieties. These are simply the best scented candles I have ever discovered.

Ahhh, being able to breathe in a bath and body products store.

Rocky Mountain does things different in a great way. The hand-cut soaps all look just marginally different as to give a fantastic homemade feel. A selection of balms, washes, and other natural products will be suitable for most tricky-to-buy-for people on your gift list.

Head to the back of the store with your testers to the customer sink where you can check out the foaming action of your prospective cleansing products. Great appreciated: Rocky Mountain takes a fun, bright, and natural approach to keeping clean.

Carries massage/bath oils for health. You will find oils targeted at headaches, colds, sore muscles, PMS, what have you. They smell strong and like they actually work. Their packaging looks really professional and not so kitschy as Lush's - it's a different feel, more polished, MUCH higher shelf life than Lush. This is more like Crabtree & Evelyn, but the products are completely natural. Essential oils are sold here, too, as others have noted. Excellent, excellent store. Prices escape my mind, but nothing outrageous.. maybe 15$ for a massage oil bottle, medium size.

Step into the store and you can smell what outdoors in my dream smells like- airy with a harmonious blend of green and floral scent. Knowing the products are made out of natural ingredients makes me willing to try a lot more products- I purchased over 12 bars and planning to enjoy them for many months to come - I only wished I have more time to browse.

I love, love love the Rocky Mountain Soap Company.  It's like a more low key version of Lush.  They carry lots of delicious smelling soaps and other body care products here such as lotions, face masks and hair products.  All of their products are made locally from all natural ingredients, and each "flavour" is mmm mmm yummy smelling.  The products here are more subtle than what's at Lush, but I have found more things here that I'd actually want to use.  And, they have shampoo in a bar!  They also carry some nice bath accessories like soap dishes, and everything here has a kind of au naturel look.
