Review from Roanna Z.
Sure, the shop in Steveston village is worth the drive, but I was super stoked to take part in a free tasting at the roaster here in Vancouver.
We were given a VIP type tour, stopping by each bag to inhale the raw beans. Michael is a master roaster for sure, sharing his knowledge about the nuances of the individual types of beans and roasts.
We were impressed with the professionalism and respect for the roasting process and he answered our questions so patiently.
Thanks so much, guys! We had an amazing visit. Now I'm so in love with the El Salvador beans. Like the wine of coffee these beans have been let to ferment slightly before processing. This imparts a very berry undertone that I've never experienced before Rocanini.

Review from Marc D.
Vancouver, BC
* Friendly, but disappointing espresso *
The barista was very friendly here, and it was fun to see the roasters through the glass windows in the back of the large space. But my espresso just was not very good. I'm guessing either the extraction was too long, or the temperature was too high, or perhaps there was a roasting issue. But the espresso was overly bitter. It made me sad, because this seemed like it could be a great location to be a regular at. I'll likely give it another try at some point to see if I just caught them on an off day. Photo:
