Not only were they able to help me find something that I couldn't find anywhere else, the people there are friendly and the selection is wonderful.
If you need someone to help with the install they have people and know people who have people. For as long as I can remember, they've been here for years. Parking is convenient in the back and the prices can be competitive.
Vicki was one such individual at Robinson who was able to help me finding the right bathroom fixture that I needed. -

The only place in town where looking up doesn't label you as a dreamer with your head in the clouds. And the only place in town to give me a crick in my neck for the same reason. How I didn't bump into many a look-e-loo while searching for the perfect illumination is beyond me.
These lighting experts are no joke. After a few moments of explaining my apartment, the sales person was nodding, she'd heard my story before. (The dilemma? Oh, yeah, no ceiling fixture for a light in the bedroom, and one plug that connects to the light switch. Bravo builders in the 1980's bravo!)
Within a few minutes I had everything I needed, including lightbulbs, but truth be told, I could stay all day fantasizing about glorious ceiling and floor space to fill with beautiful bulbs - all shapes, sizes, price points and tastes.
Next time I'll venture into the bathroom part of the store, I was scared I'd be taking a sledgehammer to my tub if I fancied a peek.

Robinson maintains the perfect balance between having a lot of selection in a wide variety of design styles in various price points and not overloading the store and creating sensory overload. Their sales staff really know their stuff and make helpful recommendations. They also accurately predict how long special orders will take to come in. Pricewise they are probably a little higher than competitors in the outlying 'burbs but the Cambie & 7th location with free parking makes shopping here irresistable.

You light up my life...
Our kitchen design suggested we go here after I mentioned that we'd seen some lighting at Home Depot. He said that HD's lights often require special, expensive light bulbs and that we'd probably find something at Robinson that would only be a bit more expensive. This store is huge and they have lighting from $50 to $18,000 and probably more expensive too. The selection is wide and the staff were helpful. It was busy today so they took our name and there's comfortable seating while you wait for a rep to come get you. We were going for something quite simple and modern but there were some black chandeliers to die for! There's a 20% off sale right now and you get 7 days to return your purchase if you get it home and realise it's just not right.Listed in: FTR - First to Review
