Hate to say it, but Robin's Donuts has never appealed to me...something about the colours of that place? It always feels like a time warp and not in a good way. Anyways, I was strapped for time and went to the York Avenue location and picked up a cheese biscuit ($1.25) and a 6" veggie sub ($3.90). The cheese biscuit was massive but unfortunately when I bit into the biscuit, I realized that there was no cheese inside! The cheese was only on the top of the biscuit...a bit misleading but whatever, it saved some calories I suppose. The biscuit tasted a bit processed but was moist inside though a little greasy outside as the brown bag absorbed some of the oil.
The veggie sub was the surprise of the day...it tasted quite decent! You can choose the veggies and sauces like at Subway. Not a bad price to pay for a pretty healthy sandwich.
Service is probably the most genuinely and consistently friendly of all fast food/coffee shops out there. And the staff are really quick with service! The food is nothing to write home about but I think the great service is the part that will bring me back.
