Excellent food here (at least as far as pub food goes). Like all the other reviewers here, I agree, the pizzas are top notch. I always order the pizzas for takeout.
They have great specials and everything on the menu is of very good quality.
Quite a selection of beers too, always important!
All in all the best pub in New Westminster and I would definitely recommend it. -

This is the best pub in New Weat. The service here is fantastic, the food is great (the pizza's are the best thing on the menu) and there are plenty of TV's if you want to come here on game night.
There are only two drawbacks. One, on game nights the place fills up fast and it's hard to get a seat. Two, it's not the quickest kitchen in the world. The pizzas are worth the wait, since they're all made from scratch.
There is a small patio now that isn't too bad on a nice day, but being right on a main street it's a little noisy. There is a covered patio in the back and the seats by the big windows are always nice in the summer.
There staff here are very friendly and quite helpful and navigating a good, but diverse pub menus. The daily specials always mean there is a good bargain to find. Personally I'm a fan of Thursdays' when you can get cheap Guinness and Kilkenny.Listed in: The Best of New West

My favourite pub in New West. Only drawback is it can be difficult to find a seat on game nights, or early on Friday evenings. Friendly staff, mostly prompt service, though can be a bit of a wait on busy nights. The food is terrific, with some of the menu from when they were a Greek restaurant retained, along with the typical pub fare. Wait for your meal may be a bit long, but so worth it once you get to sink your teeth in. Can't say enough about how friendly all the staff are. Always greeted with a huge smile. Lots of TVs for watching games, a huge enclosed patio out back and small open one on the street.
Liquor store staff are also very friendly, and knowledgeable about the great variety of wines they carry. -

Passing through New West and hankering for a good pub burger? Look no further then Rivers Reach.
Located on 6th Rivers Reach has a menu that may be expected however is prepared and served in a manner you wouldn't expect.
Excellent burgers, Fish & Chips and steaks. Plenty of seating with a comforting ambience and friendly service.
When I think of a burger and a pint this place is always top on my list. -

I've been to the River's Reach pub a couple of times and it's very nice. However, the beer/wine and liquor store seems to have become my go-to for those "damn the liquor store is closed and I need wine" times.
The clerks here are friendly and cool, and also knowledgeable about the stores ample selection of wines. They carry reds and whites from some of BC's best wineries (including personal fave Tinhorn Creek), as well as good stuff from California, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand. "Cat's Pee on Gooseberry Bush" from NZ goes well with a Flight of the Conchords marathon, although it's a bit over my usual $20 limit. There are some expensive bottles here, but there's lots of selection in the $10 to $20 range.
I haven't tried them, but the single-serve Jello shots sold by the cash register look truly dangerous.Listed in: Bright Lights, Royal City

I used to come here all the time with my partner. It's been a while since we've been here. The last time I went to River's Reach I was surprised. They keep changing their pub/restaurant policies. Every Saturdays they have half priced pizza (super good deal for a decent tasting pizza). They used to let you bag your leftovers, but not anymore.
Overall, this pub has really decent priced food and drinks. I love the fact that their wings are only $5 for a pound! Super good deal. As you all know, wings goes well with pretty much anything - and my favourite pairing is a nice pint of Rickard's White.
This joint can get pretty busy - especially during hockey season! But I gotta say, this is probably the most decent and welcoming bar I've been to so far.
