It's a darn good thing I don't have family to visit in the Winnipeg area; otherwise, I'd be spending a lot more money here than I already have. River City Sports specializes in the sale of hockey jerseys, and their customization options are the best that I've found anywhere. If you want to add a name and number to your jersey, they will do so exactly to the specifications of the hockey league in which your jersey represents. They even have commemorative patches to add on to the jerseys.
I'm a huge hockey fan, and I attend lots of games in the states as well as in Canada. I own nearly thirty hockey jerseys with about ten of them purchased and personalized by the staff at River City Sports. I've had several NHL All Star Game jerseys personalized with name, number, flags and patches from River City Sports that have been complimented on by other hockey fans. I've visited this store only once, but I am so very thankful they do mail order business also. Their website has greatly improved over the years and you can purchase jerseys from sports other than hockey now.
If you are ever in the Winnipeg area and you're a fan of hockey or just sports memorabilia in general check out River City Sports. It's a huge store with tons of merchandise and apparel; you might not want to leave. -

Went to this place shopping for Jets gear for Christmas presents. They always have tons of neat stuff for the sports lover in the family. However, we were there on a busy Sunday and the line up was wound around the store. Instead of opening up another till (there was one open) one girl bagged and the other scanned. Instead of being helpful the sweaty grubby manager stood on the stairs and yelled at the employees to move faster.

i have bought several hockey jerseys from River City Sports in the past and just added another from there to the collection today. their customization work seems to be top notch. i have also picked up shirts and hats from here. they have pretty much any type of hockey related merchandise you might be looking for, regardless of the team you root for. will continue to goto River City Sports for all my hockey related needs.
