I was looking for a romantic spot to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary while we were in Germany. This place was good, but the menu was limited due to my pickiness. I am not into seafood and we didn't see any other non-seafood appetizers that looked appealing. My husbands pesto pasta dish was very good. My arrabiata penne was blah. I should have gone with the spaghetti.
When we looked at the dessert menu, we were not intrigued enough to order any sweet to finish our dinner. This is a huge rarity for me!
The service was fine and albeit a communication barrier, we were able to order.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - dave h.Poway, United States25128Jun 13, 2018

New student at the university, and I live just around the corner from this place, so it gets extra points for being so close. It's always quiet, I always have the same very kind waitress who speaks excellent English (which is probably why she's always the one they give me... they can hear that Seattle accent), and honestly, the prices aren't bad. It's good, solid Italian food, less salty than a lot of other restaurants in the area, and it's a good option for a late dinner, since it's open quite late into the evening.
Just be sure to ask for the check when you're ready for it - maybe it's a German thing, but they don't just bring it to you like they do in America.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Espen L.Philadelphia, United States183Jan 10, 2011

The oysters were awesome with a spritz of lemon and Tabasco sauce! They had a great selection of wine. Unfortunately, I don't remember the rest of the meal. Too much wine I suppose so my rating is based on the oysters and wine. Sometimes this is how it goes.

Just enjoyed one of the best meals in memory. Delicious tuna tartare appetizer, nice tomato cream soup, unbelievably fantastic entre (tortelloni with spinach, ricotta and prosciutto), and well done mousse au chocolat - all accompanied by a fantastic house red wine and a very cute waitress. Can't wait to come back.
