You've probably had a Riddle's chocolate before and never even realized it. I've been to their massive factory and watched the owner's wife stir giant vats of chocolate in the back and pour it into moulds. Wendy and Bill grew their business from a small home-based one to a company that distributes all over Canada. They sell to the public, but mostly corporate clients. You may have had one of their chocolates from a local restaurant like Sorrentino's, Chili's or Brewsters. They supply the Hotel MacDonald, Banff Springs, Chateau Frontenac and major hotel chains around the country. These guys no chocolate. They produce high-quality stuff, made with the finest cocoa from Europe. They also do hard candies and have Bill McCreedy, one of the province's original master candy makers working for them. I didn't have the pleasure to meet him but I hear he's an awesome guy. They do chicken bones, toffee mints, raspberry drops, humbugs, toasted coconut marshmallows, sugared peanuts ... I better stop listing them. I'm getting a toothache!
