Sherwood Park, AB
It is definitely the best restaurant in Sherwood Park. I have never had a bad meal at Ric's. It's great for a special occasion or even to stop by a drink and an appetizer on a Wednesday night.

Aaaghh! Why oh why do I do this to myself! I order a Greek salad to start and the plate had more finger prints on it then vegetables. I ordered an 8oz Fillet - medium rare, I get blue! What!!! Do we need to review the hand or face parts for degrees of wellness! Oh come on!
I should know that any place that has a salt shaker sitting on the table, has chefs that have no confidence or passion in their Art!
So now let's go to dessert, Apple Pie! Can any one tell me, is it suppose to look like a muffin? Should we discuss the length of time my "apple muffin" took? Yes, yes I know they bake it fresh, but 17 minutes worth?
Kisses to the server she was trying so hard. Happened to notice how blue the steak was on her way past our table on to another. Same for the "apple muffin" as the number of times she passed our table increased before it was served. She explained that it should of only taken 8 minutes not 17. They did comp. my steak & "muffin" BUT does an almost free bad meal make it all OK? Hmmm, not in my books - again, shout out to my server, but, wake the hell up kitchen! You're killing your front end! I realize this review may sound a bit harsh, but on both sides of the table the food was barley OK.
To end on a good note - the wine was good! -

I went here for a good friends birthday on a Wednesday night and besides a few other people in the bar this place was empty. It was funny to because we were recommended to make reservations.
This place is a complete joke. The service was terrible, and I don't understand how since we were the only table the waitress was helping. The food was overpriced and under portioned and lacked any sort of taste or texture. I got the New York Strip I believe and ordered a side of crab legs because I love crab legs! I ordered my steak medium rare but even for me it was still to bloody and raw and that says a lot, my crab legs were disgusting! They were the pre-portioned frozen kind and when I bit into one it was still partially frozen, stringy, and just yuck. I got the waitress to take them back and for 5 tiny pieces of crab it was an extra $30 that got taken off my bill when I sent them back...Wow.
The only good thing about my meal was the mashed potatoes and that is because they are the same delicious garlic mashed potatoes that every other restaurant in the city serves and they come pre-packaged and frozen but are still really good.
I noticed other reviews mentioned how dark it was inside and I agree, but when they said it was "nice" I thought it made the place look dingy, but I guess that is OK when your trying to cover up all the stains on the seats...
I am glad other people had a better experience at this restaurant than I did, But that's OK because I will never go back. Why? When I can buy a steak 5 times bigger and 3 times as cheap and even more delicious than the tiny morsel of steak they gave. -
Review from Eric B.
I have dined here several times over the years with work colleagues, as it's close to work and their homes. And from an expense account point-of-view, it's an acceptable treat. Ric's is a Canadian chain with several restaurants in Edmonton, one in Calgary and several in BC and apparently well-regarded. The Sherwood Park restaurant is located in one of the many strip shopping areas along Baseline Road and you have to pay attention when looking for it. And it's worth it.
I have eaten both in the main restaurant and the lounge (same menu) and have always enjoyed my meal, the service, and the ambiance. Most importantly, it's a comfortable place to catch up with old friends. The Alberta Beef is always excellent as is the seafood, the salads, and the wine selection. -

SHERWOOD PARK, AB
Great place to entertain clients...or...just go for a quiet 'n relaxing evening! Whether you're enjoying a glass of wine in the lounge or a delicious dinner in the dining room, it's a good choice for a mid-week outing!

Sherwood Park, AB
The best place for a decent steak in the Park- sleek decor and casual style- healthy (as in moderate) portion sizes, and not a lot of gorpy sauces, nice presentation and good selection of wines as well. This is where we go for good eats. The service is up a notch here as well. Enjoy!

Went to Ric's with my wife and 3 kids on Friday night. It's been a year since I've been there, and most things seemed the same, nice decor, darker, nice ambiance, a 'high-end' feel. The service was top notch. For the most part, the food was too, the filet was cooked perfectly, and tasted great, but my prime rib was not great. Ordered and received med-rare, as recommended, but it was difficult to cut through, and simply lacked taste. The last great prime rib I had was at the Keg. For me, I'll give the Keg another try before I go back here.
