Go here for all you can eat lunch.

Big selection, great variety of sushi and very friendly staff.

    Reasonably priced.

Decoration is a little odd but acceptable for a sushi restaurant.

    AYCE Lunch
    $12.95/Adult
    $8.95/Kids ages 4 - 9

Service was fast and efficient.  AYCE orders are taken with PDA type devices.  The first few dishes came out in less than 30 seconds, and I'm not exaggerating.  It's awesome especially if you have kids who have ants in their pants.  You're in, and you're out.  Thank you very much!

The servers weren't extra nice, but they're not rude.  They just, um...don't smile a lot.

    Quality of food is average.

Top Gun Gold Card, $20.  Comes with a $10 coupon for use at any Top Gun Restaurants.  Plus, you get 10% off each visit.

Also, I would like to announce to all those who have lowered vehicles that they removed that ginormous speed bump going in to their parking lot.  Woohoo!  No more bottoming out!  Or parking far.

    Booster seats, yes.
High chairs, maybe.  It's better to bring your own.

I wish that I could tell you how amazing Richmond Sushi was.  I was driven here by my hotel driver and told that it was amazing but apparently when you arrive at 2:01 when lunch ends at 2:00 they dont care how far you have come to eat there.  I was basically told to go to away, which I did and don't plan on ever trying to go back again.  Your one minute will cost you all the business that you used to get from travelers that come to the Radisson Hotel because I told instructed the front desk that they should NEVER go there again!  See what happens when you treat visitors like you don't want them, we let other people know.  Enjoy!

This is one of the largest, cleanest, and well kept 'all you can eat' sushi places I have ever been to.

The service here is pretty quick. I have been to quite a few 'ace' sushi places in the Lower Mainland and this is one of my few favourites. They are friendly, quick and efficient. If they ever get anything wrong they rectify it quickly.

The fish is as fresh as anywhere and the quality is great. I love good sushi and I can honestly say that you can come here for dinner or late night and have a great time. The prices are great and there is a good value here.

I'm not a big fan of buffets. And although this isn't technically a buffet, it has the same friggin' concept--all you can eat for one flat rate.

It's definitely not a place for sushi snobs. In fact, sushi snobs don't go--just click out of this, right now. It's for those who like to try different things, fried Japanese food and is looking for a cheap conveyor-belt alternative.

I've been told about this place by a few of my friends. My then-boyfriend and I stopped by on our way to Whistler. He liked it so much that we stopped by on our way down from Whistler. (I didn't really care. I could eat salmon all day.)

The plates are really small, so order as much as your eyes desire. You can probably order one of everything on the menu and still want more. And if it's not enough, you can always order more. I wouldn't recommend ordering any rice or noodle dishes because that'll just fill you up leaving no room for the good stuff. I wouldn't say that the fish is quality either--but $12-something (lunch) for all you can eat sushi, I ain't complaining.

As for the atmosphere, I could see it being a good spot for a group of friends. It's a big open space, which I like. Keep in mind that they close after lunch, 2pm (I think).

This place came highly recommended and now I am officially sending the "recommend-er" off for a lobotomy!

We stopped here for lunch and yes the price is right but the food Oh so wrong.  There was two sushi's on the menu everything else was a roll, deep fried, or just bad.  Folks this is just bastardization of good Japanese food.

I would trade quality over quantity any day so if you like me like Sushi go elsewhere.  However, if you are into the all you can eat concept the extra star is for you - because I have had worse.

This place was a big part of my growing up.  During my younger days, my mother actually had to cap my visits to this place at 1x per month.

Much of my youth was spent stuffing my face on salmon and tuna sushi here.  The selection is quite decent with your usual terayaki, nigiri, cones, robata, and tempura.

The quality these days (2011) has unfortunately gone somewhat downwards compared to say 2004.  The most annoying part is that the fish slices are noticeably thinner and the blobs of rice are more narrow.  You have to order 3 pieces of sushi to get the same volume as 2 pieces of the same sushi at other places.  Don't get me wrong, the place is still decent, but it is no longer at the top of my list.

The other issue is price creep.  Every once in a while I find they raised their prices by another $1.  While this is obviously not uncommon, it seems to happen at a faster rate than other AYCE places (or restaurants for that matter).

One thing I DO like about this place though, is the fact it has a party room in the back.  You can bring 16 friends here and not have a problem (provided you reserved that room).  Most other places choke when there are more than about 10 people.

Oh, one last thing I should mention.  I once got food poisoning from eating the agedeshi tofu here, but I suspect it was an isolated incident.  But it is worth mentioning imo, as I now specifically avoid this item here.

Okay, 2 last things.  What is up with the $0.25 charge for a slice of lemon?

Overall, a decent place.  Good times.

    What happened to this place?!

This was the place that used to be upstairs and much more slow-paced right? Or am I confused.

For AYCE sushi, this was pretty good. By Vancouver, Toronto standards, it was ok.  The fish was nice enough, the selection was big and all the dishes were  solid.

My biggest problem was that that they brought the food out fast which keeps it more fresh but my main problem with this place is the pace!  In Toronto, there are a lot of sushi buffets that bring food out slowly.  In Vancouver, there are places that bring it out slowER. This place was faster than a fast food restaurant.  I felt really rushed to eat just to make room for more on the table! I don't really like eating like this.  If it wasn't for the pace, my boyfriend and I could have eaten more than 60 dishes but alas, this is obviously the point.

Yes - after the reno at this place, I like it better.  The slices of fish were bigger than other places and fresher too.  Quick order delivery (almost instant) and friendly services, the only cons was last order at 2pm and that's mean must arrive by noon to really enjoy the food slowly.  Food quality and selection better, the AYCE lunch was pricey but you get what you paid for. no senior discount, 10% off with membership.

One star for service, one for food, one for menu selection, one for liking it, then lost a star for its price.

A regular sushi place to grab a bite with your close friends and just hit the town. I do enjoy this place because it is considered just regular "Junk Food Sushi". FILLER UP~

It is typical though coming from a Top Gun chain restaurant. As usual Top Gun is considered the company which takes over a variety of Asian restaurants all around Vancouver. I do appreciate that yes, but IMO it makes the restaurant seem to be rated lower since it is a chain.

The atmosphere is very dull, as it is the regular lighting, yellow, and the air intake and the circulation is not good. I dislike it because of that mainly. The decor is boring and nothing special coming from a Chinese Owned Japanese Restaurant.

I don't mind this place to just hang out with friends, and just chat and eat. Eat some junk food sushi and just catching up with old friends. I will come back here because the staff is very attentive, and the waiter here is hot. Always love eye candy eh? ;)

I rate this place A-Okay as it is not bad neither it is good.

Richmond Sushi was the first all-you-can-eat sushi joints in Richmond, so at first this place was bumpin. Everyone wanted to come here. the line-up were out the door, it was great! then when you were finally seated and ordered your food, it came out looking so good, tasting so good. there were spicy tuna cones, cali, BC, tempura, ebi salmon rolls. Oysters were great.. you get my point....

lets fast forward to now... With the competition of other AYCE sushi joints in Richmond, Ive noticed this restaurant has been dwindling. same manager and same decor but Its definitely not the same as it used to be. The food didn't seem fresh (like the sushi was pre-made before hand) and the service??... well lets just say some servers i've noticed didn't seem to want to be there..

why people still come to this place i will never know.. i guess its cheap.. but there are so many other places with better quality sushi and and a lot more selection for just $1 more.. oh well, i guess u get what u pay for...

would i come back here? no.  but i will always have my memories of this place.... (plays song:  "memories" in the background)

I'll admit: this was my back-up dinner spot the night I ate there. However, despite it being All You Can Eat, I had a very good dinner. The service was prompt and friendly enough. The sushi was fresh and delicious. I didn't feel rushed, and walked away on a full stomach feeling satisfied. Try the Top Gun roll.

It's not outstanding, but it's also not too bad... in fact, Richmond Sushi is to AYCE sushi in the Greater Vancouver area what Molson Canadian is to beer: it is the commonly accepted standard to which others are often compared to.

Our hero has had friends who have eaten and drank so much here that they puked right after they walked outside.  Yes, the temptations of a sushi buffet can be overwhelming for some people.  It may have also been the oysters.

TIP: If you want to order sunomono salad, just ask your server or write it down at the bottom of your order slip.  It's an off-menu buffet item.

    PROS:
    - At less than $15 for all you can eat sushi after 9:30 PM.  The lunch buffet is even cheaper.  You can't really beat that for value.

    CONS:
    - Oysters here have often been questionable.
    - No sashimi on the all you can eat order slip.
    - Sometimes you get sushi that's not so fresh when you go for late night all you can eat here.

AYCE Sushi was a concept that I first discovered in Canada.  While it wasn't here that I learned about it (Over @ Sui Sha Ya: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...), it was here where I learned to really appreciate quality sushi.  Richmond Sushi happened to impress me during my only AYCE outing here and more than satisfied my group of traveling folks who were craving sushi in unlimited portions.

Service was fast and the prices were reasonable for the grade of the fish meat.  It may be a testament to the quality fish available in the Pacific Northwest because I wouldn't be able to get this in New York, not for the price ($25).  They do have different menus, one that is cheaper and one that is "premium" for a more exotic variety of nigiri and rolls.  That and it actually includes sashimi.

I think this place is best enjoyed in a group of friends, but this place is also a solid choice for the occasional date spot. Richmond Sushi isn't pretentious and there isn't much required for a good time, just bring some friends and a big appetite.

I don't know why people like Richmond Sushi so much. If you're looking for mediocre half-ass all you can eat, this is your place. I hadn't been here in over a year & the quality went down about 50%. First of all, everything you order is one piece pretty much, you if you want a chicken wing, order 3 orders of them. How sad is it when you see ONE LONE chicken wing on a plate? And it's not even good.

The rolls? Okay, but I've had better.

The tuna sundae roll was good, I have to say. The tempura? Bad. Everything else? Pretty much bad. I wasn't happy.

The owner is a very nice man, though the staff don't even understand english and bring you wrong things, so that's awesome.

All in all, I'd rather go to a hole in the wall & save the all you can eat price. This place is overpriced & not worth the gut rot.

I came here a long long time ago with some friends when I was visiting home. We live so close to the border, that we like to take advantage of the proximity (and the fact our $ works(ed) more favorably there too). The price was $12 for all-you-can-eat sushi, but for us it was that much cheaper in American. That was the first plus.

The 2nd would be that, while I'm not a fan of "All-You-Can-Eat" places, because I think it's tacky and disgusting, if it involves good sushi, then it's OK in my book. They served us amazing nigiri rolls of Yellotail, Ebi and Salmon. We ordered all sorts of dishes, as there was about 8 or 9 of us, and managed to eat it ALL. (They charge you extra for what you don't eat). I'm not sure of that's still the case, because it was awhile ago, but I enjoyed my time there very much. Everything was fast and I'd check it out again! Richmond is a neat area to explore.

I've been going to Richmond Sushi for over 6 years now, usually every time I'm up in BC. I have to say that part of the allure in previous years was the steal of a deal due to the strong US dollar (i.e., GREAT exchange rate). That has definitely changed, since in order to "all-you-can-eat" now, you are paying either $19.95, $23.95, or $26.95 (in CAD, but pretty much USD)  for dinner depending on which menu you want (Dinner, Deluxe Dinner, or Superior Dinner). Of course, if you can hang or wait until late night, which I believe starts after 9pm or 10pm, the price drops dramatically to $13.95 CAD.

Anyway, we used to come here all the time for bottomless sushi, sashimi, and other treats such as Oyster Motoyaki, Tempura, Teriyaki, Chicken Karaage, etc.

The sushi quality is on par with a zaiten (conveyor belt) sushi place - not subpar, but not excellent. But, you get what you pay for. If you have an appetite then this is definitely the place to be. If you're not much for all-you-can-eat, you might get a better deal and better experience elsewhere.

I'd recommend trying this at least once when you're up in the Richmond / Vancouver area.

Are you looking for a decent all you can eat sushi meal? if Richmond Sushi is right there then you should go!

First lesson I learned: the parking lot is really annoying. For all the local businesses there is limited parking and people seem to just want to sit immediately in front of the restuarant in their cars waiting for a spot within 5 steps... save yourself the trouble and just go to the other side of the lot.

Second lesson: make reservations. I went to a late lunch there and didn't think there would be any issue getting a table, all I can say was thank goodness my dining partner had made one so we didn't have to stand there a while

The all you can eat selection is really good, there is lots in terms of teriyaki, seafood, vegetarian, etc... I typically eat vegetarian at sushi and didn't feel stiffed at all on the selection.

When things arrived somethings which were meant to be hot were really cold, others room temperature, for $13 or whatever it is I guess you can expect that. All you can eat is a whole different experience than a la carte sushi.

Service overall was good, they were speedy bringing out food, not speedy enough with the bill. I would go there again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Last weekend I visited some college friends in Vancouver and my friend from the area recommended that we satisfy our Sushi craving here.  We were on vacation and really wanted some good sushi so we went for the premium menu at dinner for $30.  In retrospect I wish we had gone for the regular menu or waited out till the late night special because it just wasn't worth that much money.

The main perk of the premium menu was a larger sushi menu and have the option to order sashimi.  Unfortunately the quality of some of their fish wasn't that great.  Their tuna, yellow tail, and red snapper were a bit too fishy and not that great.  Their salmon was the only one worth ordering seconds of that night sashimi wise.  As for the other dishes I enjoyed their scallop roll, shrimp tempura, baked oyster, spicy tuna hand roll, and masago hand roll.

    Some tips for the place.

*if you live in the area and plan on going there several times become a VIP member for 15 dollars and you will save 10% on all of your meals.

*Parking is cut throat.  Take the firs spot you see no matter how far it cause a little walking is better than wasting gas circling the lot

*most orders are only one piece at a time  so if you are in a group of 4 and you all want 2 pieces of shrimp tempura you'll want 8 orders

It wasn't the greatest all you can eat sushi but I would go back for the cheaper menus and specials

Good quality sashimi & sushi for $20 CAD. It was actually a lot better than other AYCE places that I've tried in the US. I like how everything is ordered (for the most part) piece by piece. It allowed my friends & I to try a greater variety on the large menu.

Good: salmon sashimi, chopped scallop handroll, Korean shortribs
Bad: thinly sliced beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki

We left a few things on the plates here & there, but luckily, they didn't charge us for the waste.

Oh yeah, parking is a biatch.

When my friends and I drive up to Vancouver, its always tradition that we make a stop to Richmond Sushi.  I personally think its better than the all-you-can-eat sushi joints in Seattle. Parking is a hassle...the last time I went it took us about 20 min until we spotted a car leaving.

I'm not a fan of most of the cooked dishes there so I usually stick to just sushi and sashimi.  The waiter we had last time also was pretty rude when we were putting in our orders.  He would cut us off in the middle and just walk away.  I don't know if he thought a group of girls don't eat much but my friends and I can grub when it comes to sushi.

We went for all you can eat lunch today- it was decent. Inexpensive, and the standard all you can eat experience. The california roll was a little too mayo-happy, but overall the food was filling and was at the table right away.

Small pet peeve- we got our salad and miso soup after all the other items we'd ordered. For some reason having soup and salad last just isn't as good.

In a random, vaguely related side-note, in their parking lot on the way in, we saw a hawk tackle and fly away with a large pigeon. I kid you not. That image is burned in my mind permanently. Yipes.

Oh All-You-Can-Eat-Sushi. Something I probably could never get sick of. Richmond Sushi has the kind of selection you crave when you go somewhere that's all you can eat. I have been coming here for a while now, and while I used to love it SO SO much, I feel as if the novelty has worn off.

The service can sometimes be slow, and the servers rude; but the food is pretty consistent. This place is great for groups. One year I had my birthday here, and we had about 20 people - Richmond Sushi was really great at accommodating everyone at the same table and even gave us our own private little room (i have to say, i felt very VIP).

It kind of saddens me to see that people drive all the way from the states to come to Richmond Sushi, especially since Vancouver (and the greater area) has so much more to offer. There's really no reason to settle for mediocre sushi here.

Richmond Sushi offers all-you-can-eat sushi for a reasonable price but don't expect high quality seafood or flavours. Your money goes more towards quantity than quality. If you're coming from the States, you're better off driving the extra twenty minutes to Shabusen on South Granville.

I've been to Richmond Sushi on a couple of occassions with different groups.  If you are going with a big group, do them and yourself a favor and make a reservation.  It'll make things a lot easier.

With that out of the way, this place isn't bad for having an all-you-can-eat Sushi & other stuff menu.

You won't be able to get chef-special rolls, but you can get the basics.  It's a list-order style and not a buffet.  If you're clueless about what something is, it doesn't hurt to try it out on the first round.  Just don't order a lot of it.

The service can't be a lil hectic, but it seems like they know what they're doin'.... but expect to see a full restaurant on some evenings, especially during the weekends.

I believe they have some beers and sake, but I don't think they have a full bar.

IMPORTANT: I went here recently, but due to a crazy accident, it took us an hour longer to get here from Washington.  That was also when we found out that Richmond Sushi now closes at midnight everyday... even the weekends.  Luckily we found another place not to far at midnight.

Decent all-you-can-eat sushi at a good price.. and good portions. (I cannot even fit a slice of one of their rolls in my mouth!) The last time I was there, it was about CAD$12 for all-you-can-eat sushi lunch. The service was also great - they put up with our rowdy 15-person crowd graciously. It took a while to get our first orders, but that was probably because we checked off almost two entire sheets for our order.

We arrived Saturday evening just before 6pm.  Had to decide if we wanted the regular AYCE or the "superior" AYCE.  We decided that we could make sure with the regular and save ourselves the $7-8 dollar difference.  We were seated right away since the restaurant was still pretty empty.  When we left there was a big crowd waiting by the entrance so maybe make reservations if you're coming around 8pm.  Anyhow- some of our favorites we ordered from the server included the tuna/salmon sashimi and alaska roll (avacado/salmon/crab).  The only thing we ordered that we really did not like was the chicken with sweet chili sauce.  There was a ton of stuff to order so we're glad we went with the regular AYCE.  The restaurant was clean and the service attentive.

Richmond sushi is mostly an all you can eat sushi joint.  There's not much to say about it but that it's worth the price if you're into eating a ton of sushi.  I'm not into food binging and I don't like feeling too full, and I feel like to me it's not worth it to pay 20$+ and feel guilty of not stuffing my face into an unlimited amount of sushi because I have no space to stuff it.  I'd rather go put 20$ in a nice place where i can eat for 20$ and have really tasty stuff.  This place ain't bad, it's just an all you can eat.  I'll always go once in a while so my friends can stuff themselves with sushi and chat for an hour and a half.  Just don't over order, you'll be charged.

Overall, the food quality is pretty good. I've always gone for their late night All YOU CAN EAT SUSHI . They are quite busy (especially during late night after 9pm), so don't be surprised if the service isn't the greatest. I never have had complaints about their food but there are other places around Vancouver that offer similar varieties at cheaper prices.

Man this place is awesome. If you want to party late and eat a lot of sushi this is the place to be. Stop off here then head to Vancouver if you want to party.

Absolutely love this place ... would go there anytime we are in Richmond.  Food is yummy and fresh, staff  are great.  Parking is not so bad.

The manager is always accommodating and very friendly and efficient with his work.

Seriously, all you can eat sushi places that have good quality like this are going to be the reason why I move up to Vancouver/Richmond.  I came in with a party of 25 or so, and we were hungry as hell.  The staff here was super understanding.  We marked off 4 sheets for our initial order, and it came out pretty quickly.  The shashimi was on point...shoot everything was on point.  I just wish that they had at each table a little grilling station like Shabusen does.

My friends took us here for dinner one day after driving to Whistler. It was awesome! All you can Eat Sushi and other side orders. Basically what you do is, you are given a sheet of paper with all the items on there and you just check off what you want. Simple as that. If ever in canada, you must try this place.

The sushi was good.  The all you can eat menu was just asking for me to be rolled out after all of the tuna sashimi.

All you can eat...that should probably give you a hint as to its quality.  If you're after getting bang for the buck, certainly this is the place to do it at.  The menu selection is big, and they're not shy about giving you plenty of food, but just don't expect quality.

I can certainly understand if you are from other parts of the world that doesn't have the fresh selection of seafood like Vancouver, so you might mistake this for good food.  But if you live here and looking for quality not quantity...go almost anywhere else.

Any visit up to Canada is not quite complete without a late night trip to Richmond Sushi for some binge eating. The service here is quick as they all seem to coordinate with wireless devices that send orders straight to the kitchen and before you know it, a waiter is at the side of your table with a fresh tray full of fresh sushi. As for the price, go during the late evening rush because you will be able to eat for almost half the regular dinner price per a person. For a buffet establishment, the quality of the sushi is always more than we would expect and we always start with a few plates of hand rolls and sashimi before engorging ourselves with the obligatory assortment of maki and nigiri. Again, if you want to end a trip to Canada on a high note, make Richmond Sushi your last stop and just make sure you arrive about fifteen minutes or so before late night starts to ensure a good table especially if you have more than four people. The parking lot fills up rather quickly, but if you do not mind walking a bit, there are plenty of parking areas surrounding the malls and various shopping areas within proximity of the restaurant.

Just went there (again) yesterday with family. I always visit this place when I come up from Texas. This is a Japanese AYCE sushi joint where the food is excellent for taste, quality and cleanliness. The place is always very busy and no wonder why! You get a menu card with listing various Japanese rolls, sushi, teriyaki, tempura, etc, etc. and you place orders repeatedly as you consume the servings and want more. If you leave hungry it would be your own fault!

u know the place sucks when the sushi chefs speak chinese.  if you're cheap and dont wanna spend alot of sushi, go here.  for me, having friends as sushi chefs, i'm f%ckin picky on sushi quality.  i believe there's a jap owned joint nearby, but closes early at 8pm.  it's not ACYE, so the quality is much much better.

used to go to this place every saturday when we were still in high school, we (eating machines) would go so often, and eat so much that the managers literally hate us... they would give us the evil grin when we walk past the doors, so often we have to use fake names to make a reservation... back then the food quality was 4.5 star worthy... but now the food quality has dropped quite a bit... last time i went, 2yrs ago, i didn't enjoy it as much when compared to other AYCE sushi places...
