Great food, decent service, huge servings.
Left overs still tasted amazing.
I get hungry thinking about their kebabs and Pad Thai... -

A la Carte or All you can eat option.
We went for the All you can eat option $19.95+$2 surcharges for weekend, though quite a lot of people order the a la carte, the portion seems to be quite big!
It looks good from the menu, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese all you can eat! But none of the food tasted good.. I am not too impressed!
The sushi and Sashami did not taste too fresh. The Thai items we ordered did not have any kick of thai spicy at all. Everything else are so bland...
Luckily they has my favourite Black Seasame Ice cream! The really dark one that I love.. that I will pay $3.99 for it at another restaurant! So I feast myself on that and I was happy!
The service was quick and friendly!
I don't think I will be visiting this restaurant again! Hopefully other people has better experience!
P.S. They added 10% service charges on the bill already, so make sure you don't double tip them!Listed in: Asian "Con"Fusion!

On a Friday, right after work, me and my wife were hungry driving in Leslie/Finch area, so I fired up Yelp on my iPhone and found Rice Paper restaurant just behind the corner. First mistake I did is - I ordered Japanese, although it says the restaurant is Viethai. That happens when you let a white guy loose in a Viethai place. We had a sushi/sashimi party tray, 25 pieces for $17.95 and Vietnamese seafood hot & sour soup to warm ourselves up. The soup was fantastic, but the tray was a disaster. An overpriced disaster! It was tiny, with only 3 kind of sushi and 4 kind of sashimi, with slices so thin, you could almost see through them. In addition to more-than-disappointing size, it all tasted the same. Aren't different chunks of different fish supposed to taste different?
As soon as the tray arrived, we realized that we'll stay hungry if that's all to eat, so we ordered lemongrass chicken, which was on lunch special. Btw, lunch time is generous: 11am - 5pm. The chicken, too, was disappointing - fat and flavourless. The tab was shocking $33 and I left half-hungry. The second star is only because of the soup, otherwise it would be only one. I don't think I'll be back. -

I was taken here by my parents' friend for dinner (on a weeknight) during my visit to Toronto. Overall, the food is good enough (not great, not bad). Given that it's a restaurant that that serves a variety of ethnic dishes (Japanese/Thai/Vietnamese), it was no surprise that I found most of the dishes to be anything but authentic. I think you can order a la carte but our host chose the all-you-can-eat option for us ($19.95 for adults, $15.95 for seniors and $13.95 for kids under 4 ft.), the kind that you can order unlimited amounts of whatever is on the set all-you-can-eat menu. The quality of the sushi/sashim, while not exceptionally good, is not too bad. I do like the fact that it serves "white tuna" (butter fish) sashimi (which is hard to find in some places). Of all the items we ordered (Jap: shrimp tempura maki, salmon/butter fish sashimi, grilled sanma, enoki beef yaki, sushi pizza; Thai: mango shrimp salad, mango shrimp rice paper roll, satay beef skewers, seafood roe fried rice; Viet: My Tho seafood noodle soup (seafood glass noodle soup on the menu), sugar cane shrimp), there were only a few items that I really enjoyed, one of which was the My Tho noodle soup (hard to find in most restaurants these days) - broth was tasty and noodle texture was just right. The butter fish (or "white tuna") sashimi was also quite good. I did not have any of the sushi pizza (ordered by someone else in the party) but it looked like something I would definitely avoid (some deep fried bread thingy with some pieces of chopped up salmon on top) and the shrimp tempura maki and sugar cane shrimp were also forgettable. Things to deThe dessert menu was rather small (mango pudding - some white pudding with mango sauce on top, and assorted flavors of ice cream, including black sesame, red bean, mango and green tea). The quality of the green tea ice cream was pretty good though - it actually tasted of a strong rich green tea flavor - much better than ones I've had which had no green tea flavor and lots of food coloring. All in all, the food wasn't too bad but definitely not good enough to justify the price.
