Maybe the gifts they carry are not too unique, nothing you couldn't find online or in a less touristy spot for cheaper, but I like this shop because it has a large selection of things that are just so awesome but you don't really need it - and let's face it, you know that's the perfect gift for anybody! If they didn't need it, they wouldn't have it, but since it's so awesome, it's OK that they don't need it, or would only like it for the full 7 minutes following the opening of the present.

My not-so-hot feeling is partly my own fault. I came to Granville Island on a weekend. I came thinking I'd find something cool for a gift. But what I realized is that Rhinoceros carries just about the same thing as everyone else in the knicknack biz. Underpants for your head, ice cream scoops, tea cozies, cards, random magnets... it's all piled in there. If you're in a major bind for a White Elephant gift, you'll probably find exactly what would work. But, I suggest you don't visit on the weekend as the look-i-loos crowd the already full aisles and it seems like no one is buying. Not to mention, I knew better. I knew better than to even attempt entering a tourist trap with a taped down sign that shows what Canadian coins look like at the cash desk.

If your the type of shopper that is looking for something just a little bit different than what you could find anywhere else, this store is made for you. The window displays lure you in to find different and dare I say unique gifts and trinkets for home and bath along with some rather nice personal gifts. if your looking for a place that sells cookie cutter "made in ________" then you will be disappointed walking in here. If you are creative, then step on in.

This is a perfect little place to find some great Christmas Gifts! Last year I got some fantastic joke gifts for a co-worker that were all golf themed, a potty putter and exploding balls! This store has all the trendy trinkets of the year that are usually featured in magazines like the round ball lip glosses and the bags Oprah loves. They have really nifty kitchen gadgets like bunny head salt & pepper grinders that magnetize to the fridge, onion goggles to protect your eyes and garlic choppers that slide with ease. There is fun blooper style stuff here like reusable cups that have strange noses on the outside that would make for great fun at a Christmas party... They also have beautiful jewelry, soaps, lotions and sprays. I especially thought their pin-up girl flasks with cheeky little quotations would be a hilarious gift for the right person. There are special little baby gifts like soft slippers, toothbrush holders and rubber ducks.... One of my best finds here are their hollowed out books that have been a great gift for those people I know have things they would discretely like to hide! The wonderful gifts are endless, check it out!
