Can't beat $5 unlimited 2 hour bowling! You can catch this deal (unless they changed it) Monday-Thursday from 3pm-5pm.  the price includes shoe rentals too!

it's a fun bowling alley! Depending on when you go, they have cosmic bowling (i guess as with most bowling centres). They also have a "bar" area which is OKAY i suppose. Every time i go, i barely see anyone eating in there, but you can order your food and alcohol at your lanes and eat there which is nice.  REVS doesn't make you eat behind an area as with some lanes do.

The lines at the front CAN get insane and you might be waiting there for a bit, all depends on when you go i guess!

They do charge you for parking there, i guess to prevent people from leaving their cars there and flying off on the skytrain.  Upside is that it IS conveniently located right by HOLDOM station.

It's probably the best bowling alley around.  :)  The only downside for this place is they make you pay for parking.  They have a huge parking lot.. and they make you pay... just seems weird for a bowling alley but I guess it's another way for them to make money.

It was a good price since on Sunday it's cheaper.  A great thing to do on a rainy day.  They got us in right away, it wasn't too busy.  The place was clean enough and not run down.. like some alleys can be.

OH, careful when you enter your name into the scoreboard computer thing - we couldn't find the delete button so make sure you spell it right the first time.  haha  Unless you find the delete button - then you're smarter than us.  haha  The people beside us had the same problem.

REVS did a good job keeping up with the times and updating the place.

They let you text in songs to a phone number free of charge to request songs.  The songs are put into a queue and are played along with the video on multiple screens while you're bowling.  Not sure when this was set up, but I haven't been here for a long time now.  I loved this.  My friends and I kept requesting the cheesiest songs and we laughed so hard while having our beers and of course bowling.

Drinks and food are reasonable, but I wish there was 1 more bartender during the weekends.  The long was quite long and we had to wait a while.  He was super cheerful and did a great job though.

Yes, the bowling balls are pretty greasy, but hey eight bucks for some group entertainment is pretty worth it especially on a rainy day.

Apparently this is much better than going to the 5-pin one on Granville St downtown. Standard 10-pin games, with computer screens and decent bowling shoes.

Take a skytrain to Holdom, it's situated right next to the station.

First time bowling and I ended up at this place! So unfortunately I can't really compare it to other places.
It was fun! I've been advised though, that drunk bowling is even more fun. Now I guess I gotta go back and try that;p

They have greasy balls for all to enjoy :p

The parking here is paid parking, however you can redeem the parking ticket for a free game..... but only before 5 PM.  Yah, I tried to redeem a little too late one night.

They always have pretty good service here.  If your balls get stuck, they'll help you out.

They got special deals here after 9PM M-Th.  I heard one of the night is like an all you can bowl plus pizza for a great price.  I can't find it online, but I heard it's posted somewhere there.

For those that loves to bowl into the gutters, they have lanes that you can pull up the gutter rails and never get a gutter ball.

At night they start the cosmic bowling, but it's usually the right half of the place that sets the mood with the light show

This place is fantastic...you need to get on the REVS bandwagon people.

They have a ton of lanes and cosmic bowling on the weekends, while it's not the cheapest place to get your bowl on, it's worth it.

They have a wide selection of foodstuffs, with  table service at each of the lanes (just press a button and your server will appear).

Don't be fooled by the fact that it's a bowling alley - the food is great, I've had flat bread (with a Peruvian pepper on it), pretzels, chicken fingers etc - it's all been really good.  They also have a BBQ joint, and a pizza joint which you can order from.

Other key points - a cool video karaoke system with bumpin' tunes,  and a friendly staff.   Only a couple negatives - you must pay for parking (or hop the skytrain, it's next to holdom station.  also - when it's busy, they ran out of the popular shoe sizes  - so go early and you won't be disappointed.

Bowling, like most sporting activities, is a weak spot for me. But boy, am I good at the game called gutter ball! My own version of the game is not intentional, but let's just say at Rev's I won. GB champion. Hazaaa!!

As Mark H mentioned, the highlight of this place is the fresh-baked pretzels. These things are baked with all the love of a bowling alley  and 1,000 doting Italian grandmothers put together. Delish.

The downside to this place: pay parking. Now, if I'm driving out to suburbia I expect that a large, unpopulated lot is free. Not so much here (b/c it's beside the skytrain). SInce I assumed that there would be free parking I strolled past the pay parking signs (completely oblivious) and returned to a shiny ticket on my car. Oh well, you lose some (games) and you lose some (coin). Whatever. I had fun.

I would come here again just for their pretzels. Bowling is cool and all but these pretzels are salt covered greatness.

Baked fresh to order, these are in a pretzel league of their own. Perfectly decorated with an even sprinkling of rock salt, I wouldn't change a thing. Tearing off a piece reveals the warm, moist interior that speaks "don't you dare drown me in any kind of sauce".

Eating one of these is the perfect pre-game boost. And at $3.50/ea, you may just get hooked.

Came here for some bowling action.  Turns out today was Cosmic night.

    3 tips:

    1) If driving, you have to approach the establishment from the W, heading eastbound.  Otherwise you end up on the wrong side of the road, and a divider on Lougheed stops you from turning left.  Then it's an awkward search for a U-turn point.

    2) After 1800, there is free parking on the streets directly behind the building.  Save yourself a few bucks and spend it on a game or a pitcher if you wish.

    3) You have to order *some* food with a pitcher.  Probably caused by some lame municipal bylaw.  The cheapest dish there is $4 nachos, and it is seriously crappy (see pic).  I can make better nachos than that in 30 seconds literally.  Come a bit hungry and try an entree instead.

Now, onto the establishment itself.  Welcome to the 1990s.  Totally reminds me of my glory days growing up.  CRTs over the lanes, laser strobes, and retro music videos such as MJ, Spice Girls, and Marky Mark.  Epic.  The lanes could use a bit more black light, but I guess not getting cancer is a good thing.

My friend busted up a swivel chair by simply picking it up.  Turns out the top and bottom halves for some of them aren't actually attached.  So be careful.  The only other complaint is that the front counter is woefully inadequate.  All it took were 2 groups of highschoolers to show up and we couldn't even get near enough to return our shoes.

With that said, the staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and we had a blast. The atmosphere beats out The Zone in Richmond.  Recommended.

While I am pretty much the worst bowler I know I still find it fun as long as my competitors don't brag too much about kicking my ass.

Any bowling alley with a full bar that I can buy a few shots and a pitcher of beer at to wash away by bowling failure is good in my books! The only downfall is you are required to buy food if you are drinking but they have food options starting as low as $3.50!

The staff are friendly but pretty quiet. I will be back!

"Making bowling an experience" ... as the tagline should go!

If you're looking for a fun, chill night out with friends or a date, but want to skip the downtown scene, Revs is a solid choice.

I bowled there last night, and like all the other times I've gone, the experience was great. Its a huge venue with a helpful staff, a full service bar and pub food, TV monitors (often playing sports highlights) and a decent sound system. Music is played after 9:30pm.

Weekends. Revs "nightlife" on weekends gets fun. The crowds tend to be a little rowdier than normal (as expected from a Friday/Saturday night), but it's still open to everyone.  They also crank up some beats (usually Top 40) and get some disco lighting goin on to set the weekend mood.

TIP: Revs is PACKED on Friday/Saturday nights. Get there by 9:30pm with your full party, or you have to wait it out (anywhere from 30-90mins after 10pm). Its always a good idea to call in to check on the wait.

Weeknights. During the week is a great time to hit up Revs. They usually have specials Tues-Thurs, check online. Take a look at the other bowlers as well; you'll see some true bowlers with hand-gear and crazy cool bowling techniques on weekdays :)

After more than 5 years of courting my boyfriend finally took me bowling last night - and Rev's was the place thanks to the liquor service at the lanes.

I checked their website for hours, and discovered they have a promo going every night - I caught Monday Madness which made our bowling very inexpensive. $9 each got us two games and shoes.
I like they don't have the awkward normal lane set up, it much more comfortable with tables (no sitting in a line).

My only complaints were all the light bowling balls had small finger holes - and my fake nails kept getting caught and damaged because of that. It was a super busy night and we decided to play another game, unfortunately when I went to pay the staff had just given the lane to someone else (I was standing right behind in line holidng $5)... ah well cie l'vie. It was a good night of fun, at least worth the damage my gels sustained.

You can't argue with Rev's when it comes to bowling. For some reason Vancouver shuns many leisure activities to the point where there are really only two accessible bowling alleys in the city. And don't even get me started on mini golf.

Anyway, your two main easily accessed alleys are The Commodore Lanes downtown and Rev's, just along the skytrain line.

While the Commodore has its charms, Revs caters to the younger, rowdier crowd with offers of elaborate food and drinks that the old timey appeal of the Commodore cannot match. I've had better experiences here with large parties and with drunk/loud parties.

It's not a free for all and I've enjoyed just as many quiet games here, but sometimes you've just got to be foolish and this is the better place for those wacky games of bowling on a whim.

What a night!  My body is still sore from the bowling adventures of my friends and I! When my girls night changed to a double date the plans on seeing a movie changed to a night of bowling!  How fun that choice was.  Imagine if you can 1 manly man who hasn't played in 20 years trying to bowl along side 1 girly girl that does the little kid toss between the legs throw.  What a sight to see.  The other 2 of us could actually bowl but the more beers I had the less likely it was to go where I wanted it.  I cheered on my gutter balls!!!!  Of course the manly man posted the highest score but also the lowest score in the three games we played lol.

For four of us to play it was $60 for 3 games which included the shoe rental, which worked out to $15 a person.  Realistically not too bad at all.  You'd pay the same for a movie and not have near as much fun as we did.

To be honest I am not sure if it was the venue or the company that I was keeping that gave my abs a work out that they haven't seen in awhile.  Ohhh the amazing fitness of laughing so hard you cry.

Revs is a nice big place with a lot of lanes.  I think we were at 19 and that may have been only half way down the alley!  The bathrooms however leave a little to be desired.  They were cluttered and not too clean.  I was surprised to see that there were only 4 stalls for the women.  As ladies we all know that 4 stalls is not enough when it comes to a packed venue!

At the end of out 3 games the 4 of us decided we were going to race one another. Yes, there is a 4 seater car video game where you can race your friends for bragging rights.  Somehow I screwed up the first time and raced myself and won hee hee.  Then once I figured out how to actually get into the correct place in the game I can in 2nd and 3rd.  Not too bad.  Middle of the pack!

One thing I did like was the table service of the bevvies!  Wow!  Didn't have to go to the bar at all.  LOVED IT!!!!

Anyway, the moral of the story is:  Bowling like you know how to does not guarantee a victory LOL.  At least not in my case!  LETS GO GUTTER BALLS!!!

One of the better bowling alleys to play at, this has plenty of room and a eating area fit for large groups.

Drinks and munchies are available to order which is great for re-energizing yourself whilst bowling a tight game against your group of friends.

The bowling system is relatively new in comparison to some of the other lanes out there which makes it far more entertaining.

Revs is big, bright, and shiny. They have a vast number of lanes for ten-pin games - most bowling alleys around town have mostly 5-pin. This is one of the few bowling alleys that have all ten-pin, all the time.

I've been here for a few bowling events, so they really pump the music and there are funny graphics on the TV screens/scoring monitors above the lanes. I've never been here for the cosmic/glow bowling, but they have that as well on certain nights.

My father-in-law is an old-time league bowler, and this be his regular hangout, so you can see they really cater to a wide variety of tastes and bowling styles. Serious league players, birthday parties, and family and group outings are all welcome here.

I've never been to the upstairs area, but am told that there are fitness facilities and racquetball courts up there, too. The in-house restaurant/bar, the Kansas City Barbeque Shack isn't bad, but their barbecue has nothing on Memphis Blues.

Now right on the SkyTrain line at Holdom Station, Revs is pretty accessible, too.

I knew something was going to be different when our purses were searched by the bouncer. Yes: a bouncer at a bowling lane.

The music-video jukebox, decent quality bar restaurant, and lane-side drinks service makes Revs a great group outing--but you have to be planning here despite what seems like a warehouse of bowling lanes. I'm not a huge fan of cosmic bowling, but Revs lives up to its promise of "entertainment". Plus, the bowling shoes were actually cute!

This place is really fun, and really accessible like 10 steps away from Holdom station. The staff are awesome and really know what they are talking about. It is true, they have 10pin, a rare find around here. Ladies be aware, you may break a nail...I did. Boo. Oh well life goes on. We went as a group and they were really accomodating even though we didnt reserve. We took up half the place which was fine with them, BUT we did have to wait almost 2 hours to get any lanes, why? League bowling. Be aware about that, always a good plan to call ahead, and either book lanes or see when they are going to be finished. The great part is, you can always waste time at the bar, ahhh Better bowling with booze! Also also, awesome pizza.
