Wow - what an amazing find! The concept here is brilliant. It was more than just recycled materials - you can actually bring in your old leather coats for store credit OR the owner will custom design you a bag from that coat!
They have these really cool one-of-a-kind bags designed from wool, and leather coats, cargo pants, even sturdy, stylish ones made from rubber tires. Original jewelery made from old watch parts, belt buckles made from skateboards - prices were fair, so I was tempted to empty my bank account on a lot of their stuff...
This place really helps environmentalists 'be part of the solution'.
Excellent ideas and original designs - a definite must-see! -

Explored Gastown today, and this store was by far the best discovery. Upcycled bags are a highlight, though the t-shirts and jewelry and belt buckles were also stylish and unique--all really wearable. Friendly gentleman at the counter and an obviously talented owner, who I think we met briefly at the crafts show in SOMA. Great stuffs all around.
