I love this store - I remember when it opened years ago when I was a poor student and I would come into drool... LOL, now as a working person, I still come into drool and occasionally pick something up!

Prices are quite moderate to high here - it's all relative.  Definitely expensive if you're doing the transition from the Brick and Home Outfitters, but moderate if you shop at Inform.  Service is generally good.

This place is a bit more refined/conservative than my contemporary taste, but they have some great items if you pick and choose.  My future kids already have Restoration Hardware baby stuff picked out in my head!!

Nice variety of color schemes that you can do, usually involving an espresso/wenge pieces with silver accents and whatever linens/paint color in a soft neutral - lovely color selection with whites, soft greys, sages, pinks, blues and browns.  Lovely home accents and decor and the fake plants are some of the nicest I've owned - just picked up another yesterday for our sideboard.

Furniture is good quality.  Love their linens and bedding - excellent quality and has the price tag to match.  The draperies are wonderful, esp. the thai silk line.  Great for gifts for people who like a warmth to their home, but not fussy - love the retro games and gifts too.

Dropped a star for their regular prices - I don't think they are worth the regular price since you can often find a similar product elsewhere, especially in the games and linens sections.  I love and have their home accents though... if you want some gorgeous items around your home and classy, not tacky, holiday items, this is your place!

Love this store! Yes I am an addict. I enjoy the spacious clean layout, the staff are always friendly, and I love the products! I may or may not be a towel snob as I refuse to use towels from anywhere else ;) I really like the cleaning scents, and my favorite dept is definitely bathroom! I love all of the vintage line. We registered here for our wedding, and I must say the gift wrapping/boxes were amazing. I am a whore to the RH!

    The ultimate trinket store.

I love this place.  I feel like it is an adult toy store, I like seeing the young kids play with the retro toys that we played with as kids.  Like a slinky or checkers.

The home furnishing stuff is a nice step up from the standard Ikea.  The staff is always helpful but usually busy and hard to get a hold of.

The website is always a good way to go if you know what you want

This is a great place to go gift shopping for middle-aged or other responsible people who appreciate nice, quality things for the home. I only dream about being able to afford these things for myself.

I got a really beautiful set of candlesticks -- they're so heavy they are totally "Professor Plum with the Candlestick in the library" material. They are now treasured by my mother and have not been used for any sort of foul play (as far as I know).

It is not a hardware store at all! There are gadgets, games, decorations, lighting fixtures and linens. The most hardware-ish stuff you get here might be a few things to put together window coverings or bathroom decorations.

You're not going to find any bargains (at least I never have), but you get what you pay for. Here it's always been quality.

I love coming here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and strolling through the store filled with stuff I one day hope be able able to afford. Oh the dreams that Restoration Hardware has brought into my mind...

They have gorgeous furniture, accessories, and household knick knacks that will tickle anyone's fancy. It's simple, classic, and elegant - there really are no other words to describe it. From the coffee tables and dishes to the chess board and umbrella stand... there really is something for everyone. Just be prepared to part with some of your hard earned cash.

For such an outstanding company I can't believe they only list American prices in their catalogues!!!  They don't even attempt to show Canadian prices. I'm not anti American, however, if an American store chooses to sell in the Canadian market, they should have the courtesy to price their catalogues in Canadian dollars.
Count me out when it comes to shopping at R.H.

This place just smells of the promise of better furnishings. Everything here is beautiful and well made. There is an elegant ease to everything they stock. Without being overly pretentious or styled, the furniture here exudes quality and taste. It is simple and not overdone--pieces so perfect that they'll fit themselves easily into your life.

I am sure the quality is great, but I am rating this store based on selection. It's not geared towards Vancouver - smaller condos with modern style demand more compact, modern furniture, not huge Victorian pieces that take up the entire room. I think their bath accessories rock, but as someone who is on the look out to furnish my new condo, this would be the last place I would go. Nothing there appeals to my taste. It's mostly geared toward the older generation with Victorian furniture tastes
