We read that Orleans was a cute little island - and it totally was, but virtually everything on the island was closed. It was the middle of February after all!
The tourist info booth told us that if we wanted lunch that this was the only place open. Phrased like that, our expectations were low, but they didn't disappoint.
They had a brief menu posted on the wall. A fish, a meat, a veg and one or two others. Each came with soup and dessert. They all sounded great and the two we tried we fantastic. It was such a surprise to find such great food. I had the steak and my husband had the fish. It was great! Even though our waitress didn't speak much English, she tried really hard and we all communicated just fine. She was cute. They also had all this great colorful artwork on the walls.
Even if you are visiting Orleans when all the other restaurants are open, I would still recommend this. Warning though, you might not need much for dinner if you eat lunch here! -
