Review from Dame V.
We thought the food here was delicious. It was fresh and well-spiced. This is an all-vegetarian restaurant, and there are delicious vegan options. We thought it was a good value, too, considering how many courses come with the meal, and that the other all-vegetarian options in Quebec City are a more expensive buffet and a place that was closed for a month while we were there. The tea was also wonderful.
The one thing that could be done to improve Restaurant Zen would be to cut down on the processed soy ingredients, and offer more seitan, tofu, and all-vegetable options. This would make the menu more healthful, and would also give me more options, since I try to avoid isolated soy protein. -

Zen is an overpriced and mediocre quality vegan Asian fusion restaurant. It looks super nice inside and the waiter was prompt and very helpful. This is actually part of a chain and I've visited other locations in Toronto and Guelph. Unfortunately the menu here is much more limited and the prices much higher.
The vegetables and mushrooms on chow mein ($12) had lots of vegetables and the sauce was decent if a little bland. The sushi combo we ordered ($16) was a huge let down. It consisted of a single small spring roll and about 8 pieces of unimpressive sushi. Huge ripoff.
This place has lots of potential but I wouldn't come back here unless the menu was seriously improved and prices lowered. -

What a wonderful restaurant!
When we were vacationing in Canada I needed to find a vegetarian place to get away from all the pasta and the pizza. This was the perfect getaway.
The restaurant is located in a residential district a long ways away from the actual action of Quebec. We took a long walk from the museum to the restaurant.
Once we got there, we were promptly seated. Upon trying to order in French, our server switched to la langue anglaise. This made it easier to order and get deliciousness in our faces.
The menu was quite extensive and it took a little while to figure out what can only be gotten in a combo, and what can be done separately. We ordered a few courses and they arrived in a timely fashion. It was a good pacing and we weren't getting annoyed. What can I say, the atmosphere kept us calm.
The food was really good, with plenty of flavor. The veggies seemed to be well cooked and not over saturated with the sauce.
The service, however was so-so. They did not replenish our drinks fast enough. Other than that, no complaints.
If you find yourself in Canada wanting some Asian cuisine, swing by Zen. -

Overpriced, small portions and just not that good. I've tried their other locations in Ontario and it's a bit better with portion size.
