Review from Stefan C.

This place is amazing!! Best dining experience since I moved to Montreal 3 years ago.
Quebec city is known for its high-end restaurants, and this place delivered, with spades. A chic high end Italian place, I thought this was amazing. -

We attempted to go here for dinner on a holiday weekend with no reservations. Stupid us.
However, the place was PACKED and the hostess was very nice, we just decided to move on. We weren't in the mood to wait as we had just arrived in town.
We went back for lunch the following day and it was empty ( I think all the tourists had moved on).
Food was great as was service.
Nice outdoor patio and ample indoor seating.
Decor is sort of Miami meets Eurotrash.
Seems like it turns into more of a Beautiful People club scene at night if that's your thing.
SIDE NOTE: Unrelated to Savini, overall I thought the Grand Allee was super overrated and very touristy.
I far more enjoyed my walk on the Governor's promenade and walking along Saint-Jean than walking around inside the old city with all the cheap souvenir shops and throngs of tourists. -

What misfits we were, showing up at Savini in all its euro-Miami glory, wearing cotton in earth tones among a sea of black synthetic. Standing there in our jeans, in the company of miniskirts and sport coats, it became clear we were not dressed appropriately, we were not French-Canadian, and we just weren't that cool.
But nobody gave a shit, and the hostess kindly and immediately seated us, and our waiter put up with our non-beef-eating, non-French-speaking, non-alcoholic-drink-ordering American eccentricities.
We had minestrone, Caesar salad and ravioli. All were awesome. -

pretty good. we stopped by here for a small lunch.
we had the fishcake salad and spinach pasta.
the salad was very good. had a vinaigrette dressing and the fish cake was just like a crabcake but with fish haha
the spinach pasta was not too bad. nothing special just pasta with a chessy sauce. -

Went up to Quebec City for the winter carnival and came across this restaurant on the Grande Allee (which is the street near the old city with all the hot spots (bars and clubs). We arrived at about 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon after having walked up in the freezing cold from the carnival. It was empty and were seated at the best table - a four top right in the center of the restaurant. We were not expecting much just because we happened to just come across it. But man, were we ever pleasantly surprised!
We proceeded to spend the next 5 hours here, ordering drinks and delicious wines, sampling the food (apps, salads, desserts, cheese plates, dessert wine, etc). EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The place was beautifully designed and trendy - even the unisex bathroom was something special.
By the time we left at 9:00 or so, the place was absolutely packed with people eating, drinking and having fun. Never once did the staff make us feel rushed. Plus, the owner must have come by our table 15 times to make sure we were all set (each time with his limited English, giving us a thumbs-up and a smile).
GREAT restaurant., GREAT location, GREAT staff, GREAT food, GREAT atmosphere ...
