Review from Stephanie Y.
Ok so had amazing cocktails at the revolving roof at the Loews. It's 10 PM.. I'm starving lets get food. So the tale begins on the search for dinner on a Sunday night in Old Quebec. It ends with Primavera. We go everywhere but everywhere they are ferme (closed in french)... it is either take the walk back to the Grand allee or eat at Chez Ashton - more poutine and a greasy burger - which not gonna lie I was up for....
Alas Primavera will squeeze us in. I"m tired, a little drunk, and not wanting italian food in Quebec City - I live in New York City - but what can we do... My boyfriend - being the smart man he is gets the french food off the menu - the escargot and the duck - both really good. Not great or HOLY CRAP THIS IS AMAZING, but good.
I ON THE OTHER HAND, order pizza??? Really??? Thinking i'm not too hungry its going to be easy and i just want something simple.
Disgusting. The Caesar Salad - also quite gross I still have a lingering taste of the anchovy paste they smothered all over it.
But they were sooooo nice, and sweet, and my bf who liked his meal - but he really likes everything - he is a beast when it comes to food - forces me to give this an A-OK. -

Food was OK.
Prices were reasonable.
Service was very, very slow. In fact, I don't think the staff had a clue about what they were doing. It seemed that a different person covered each necessary item - taking the order, bringing the drinks, bringing the food, filling the water glasses, bringing the bill... and so on.
