Review from Anh V.
don't let the empty room fool you, this place was fully reserved except for one table which we grabbed. by noon, it was packed to the gills.
rest your feet here after browsing the special exhibits to enjoy the breath taking floor to ceiling view.
the ladies who lunch seem to gather here on fridays in their conservative but fine clothes. everyone was well dressed!
go for the daily specials: for either 18 or 22$ we enjoyed:
apps:
a terrine of chicken on a small bed of salad aka the chef's inspiration.
the other choice was a carrot soup which we did not try.
main course:
the rack of lamb was tender and delicious! but i really loved the "salad" which was really a bit of greens, a slice of rabbit terrine, smoked slices of magret de canard and the foie gras terrine with a thick layer of fat was absolutely fantastic!!!
dessert/coffee:
the main portions were appie sizes* so we wolfed down the cream layered vanilla cake with maple syrup. with bottomless coffee, we were awake again and set to go back to enjoy the rest of the museum.
*one star docked for small main course portions that were more like starter portions.Listed in: weekend in quebec city
