Review from Vivian C.
Friends loved the nearby Hilton Garden Inn for their wonderfully clean and comfy rooms, but this time around we were looking for a suite, which Residence Inn Marriott was able to provide.
A two bedroom suite came with comfy beds and fat pillows, a bathroom per bedroom (attached) with sinks located outside of the shower/tub/toilet with closet space, a kitchenette and livingroom area in the shared space, a tv per room, a couch that unfolds out (with the usual flimsy mattress), free wi-fi, but no dishwashing detergent.
A nice cold/hot breakfast is included in the price - ending at 10am on weekends and 9:30am on weekdays. Cereal, pastries, bagels (with a toaster), oatmeal, yogurt, canned peaches, strawberry sauce, breakfast potatoes, french toast or pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and make your own belgian waffles. Coffee (not super weak like coffee often is in Canada), juices, milk.
A small swimming pool and a small exercise room with maybe 5 pieces of equipment located on the first floor. Outside there's a sports court with a mini tennis court sharing space with a basketball net beside a nice sitting area where you can hang out to enjoy the fresh air.
Parking is plentiful and you can use your room key to enter through the side doors till perhaps 10pm or so.
A super-easy walk to Times Square Mall. -

This is another hotel we usually stayed when visiting Toronto.
The rooms here are little bigger than the Courtyard across the street.
Nice staff. Plenty parking.
Spacious room, usually come with a couch (sleeper sofa), kitchenette (microwave) and a small dining table.
Plus = Free internet connection in room! -

A comfortable stay here. We came for the weekend as we were in town to celebrate great auntie's 80th birthday. Check in was quick. We had a one bedroom suite. It's nice to have a separate sleeping area. Bed is comfy and slept through the night. There are two TVs and had alot of channels to choose from. The sitting area is a nice touch with a cool long sofa that fit for that extra person. This is a good place for that short term business stay. What I didn't like was that lingering cooking/food smell coming from the kitchenette, which is probably common in most of the rooms and hallways.
Stay comes with free breakfast and free wi-fi. Unfortunately, the mister and I did not take advantage of those freebies. We took advantage of the free water and coffee in the lobby area. Indoor pool and tennis court is here. There are places to eat that are walking distance, but you are better off having a car to get around.
