Review from Violet P.
When we checked into this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised when we were told that they were giving us a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom room for being a Marriot member. It was just my husband and I and we were amazed when we walked into our room to find the main bedroom with a bathroom and tv, a large living room area and kitchen with clean dishes, and then another bedroom just steps away with its own bathroom! It was bigger than my apartment. I was wondering how we could rent the second bedroom?! I did appreciate the second bathroom though so we wouldn't be fighting over the shower and sink space. Everything was clean and I appreciated the free microwave popcorn too!
The breakfast buffet was wonderful with lots of options. The only issue is it can get busy and limited seating available as with most hotels offering this option. The location was very convenient to walk downtown, CN Tower, Chinatown, and the train station.
I would definitely stay here again! -
Review from Frances T.
I stayed here for 3 nights in a 1br king suite and I really enjoyed it. The full sized kitchen was a great touch because I actually cooked and used the fridge. Everything was very clean (cups, forks, spoons, bowls, dishes, pans, knives, etc).
The bedroom was pretty spacious. There was a nice sized closet, an okay sized bathroom (with the vanity area outside of the bathroom). Everything was always well stocked and clean.
The living room was a comfortable size with the typical kind of Marriott furniture -- You know, the rusty, old, sort of stuff. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. The tv was not a fancy flat panel, but I don't mind.
I really like how there was a popcorn bowl with complimentary popcorn. The breakfast was a nice buffet-style kind of deal with scrambled eggs, potato grits, fruits, cereal, toast, etc. There were different juices and coffees to choose from.
The staff was always friendly and attentive to needs. They always delivered a smile. I just wish the valet wasn't so expensive or that they had their own parking garage, but it is downtown...
I would stay here again if I was ever in Toronto. The location was good because it was close by all the prime locations. You don't have to walk or drive much further than where you already are. -

Pickering, ON
Beautiful Hotel at an excellent location. I stayed here when I first moved to Toronto, my work put me up here for 3 days.
Breakfast was included and has a lot of options, even for a vegetarian.
Valet is expensive at $35/day but worth it because finding parking in this area can be a challenge to begin with.
It is very close to everything downtown including the subway system.
Rooms are very clean, bright and have everything you require in them. I always recommend this place to my friends if they want to live downtown for a few days. -

What's not to like?
I don't spend much time in Marriott Residence Inns as a general rule but this place really impresses. Here on business for over a week. My room was super nice and having a full size fridge and freezer was a great help. Never used the range but can see it being useful as well. Large suite on the 16th floor, decent view out of my side of the building. Location is also pretty great, I imagine even more so for sports events. My company put me up here and the free breakfast every morning has been a real bonus, as well as the free dinner a couple night a week also. Room is very spacious. Small pool and hot tub as well as a small fitness room.
I don't know if I would have personally chosen this place as I tend to gravitate to more high end places like Intercontinentals and Ritz hotels in general, but this places compares to those on the same level.
Easy walking distance to anything you could want to do in the city. Give this place a shot and you won't be disappointed, if you get Marriott Rewards, even better.Listed in: My Toronto

I was shocked at how much I loved this hotel. It seems small from the outside but it packs a lot. I went to visit some friends staying here. They had a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite and it was a great layout.
I also have to give kudos to the door staff. We had a friend who was sick and pulled the car up in front of the hotel to help her out. He kindly opened the door for us, got us an elevator and watched the car for us at the front so it wouldn't be towed.
Valet is a tad expensive at $35 daily. Many surface and underground parking lots in the area that are a lot cheaper. -

Beautiful hotel. Stayed here on a Saturday and Sunday night and got super lucky on the price. A room on the 7th floor with a queen size bed, couches, kitchen with fridge, all for $60. I think we got it through priceline or something, but that's an incredible deal.
It also comes with free internet and a free breakfast buffet, that actually has some pretty good options. At this price, definitely would come back!
When you pay $60 a day for a room, asking $35 a night for parking is pretty ridiculous...Listed in: My Trip to Canada

This Residence Inn Marriott is fantastic. For the value, you get great service and great amenities which make you feel like you are in the Four Seasons or the Ritz. The location is great, you can see the Sky Dome & the CN Tower. You are only blocks from them. This location is hard to beat, it is easy to walk to Yonge St., or duck down into the concourse and walk for 20 miles. Toronto has an extensive underground, and during the winter - you need it!
Believe it or not, this Residence Inn has a bar. It is well stocked, and Kevin knows his drinks! I think this is the only Residence Inn that has a bar. The fireplace located in the bar is a wonderful place to hang out.
I stayed at this hotel back in 2008 and was just as impressed then as I am now. The quality has been maintained, and the hotel does not look like it has any wear or tear. The appliances are very well maintained, and still look new. For the geeks, there are plenty of power outlets, wireless throughout the hotel, and many nooks to sit downstairs and watch the world go by.
I booked this vacation using points, however the cost to stay at this hotel is low. It is well priced for the location, amenities and service. Great value!
It is well worth it!Listed in: Best Wi-Fi

By far my favorite hotel in TO. Firstly its close to just about anything you need to enjoy toronto. The service is great. The rooms are amazing, not to mention the kitchen, just in case you wanted to cook.
I'm always looking for a deal at this hotel to go on a little stay-cation :) -

Visited Toronto this weekend for Caribana and stayed here with 3 girlfriends. The hotel is in a great location. Right downtown within walking distance of many restaurants and bars and Blue Jays Stadium. Despite it's central location, it's quiet and you can get a good night's rest. There is free breakfast every morning with very good sausage, muffins, cereal, pancakes, etc. The only downfall is the powdered eggs. I also appreciated the ice water with oranges and lemons in the lobby. The rooms are clean and pretty spacious. This was kind of a budget trip for me and my girlfriends so we stayed in a room with a king size bed and a pull out couch. We had lots of clothes and toiletries but weren't cramped. There was a full size fridge and microwave and an electric stove with 2 burners. Oh and also a small dishwasher. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel was definitely booked up for the weekend as the Caribana festival was happening and it was a holiday weekend in Ontario, but the staff was still very accomodating. I would definitely return to this hotel if I get back to Toronto.

It may not be the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton but I'm judging this hotel on value. I booked through Orbitz and used a coupon that I found on another site and I managed to get a roundtrip ticket from New York to Toronto plus 4 nights at this hotel for the inclusive price of $400. I've never paid less than $250 for a plane ticket to Toronto (and that was in the dead of winter--I traveled in the summer) so 150 divided by 4 is just less than $40 per night. And that is only IF the plane ticket was $250. Before writing this review, I did a search on this hotel to see what the prices are now and it's around $250 per night. Now tell me I didn't get the deal of a lifetime.
This hotel is located downtown in a great area within walking distance to the Theatre District, Nightclub District and the many great restaurants that line King St. West. You will find that you're amongst the finer boutique hotels.
The staff are extremely friendly and service is always given with a smile. If you need anything, they'll attend to it right away. The rooms are like corporate apartments with full kitchens. I love having a kitchen in my hotel room. Most of the time I don't use it, but this time I did. I cooked all week and still managed to dine out every day. It was good for my late night cravings.
My room had a king-size bed, living room area with (I believe) a sofabed, computer desk, dinette set and, surprisingly, cool decor. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the linens weren't cheap. The wireless internet was fast and FREE! And there was a free breakfast buffet in the morning. Talk about value!
If I had to pay $250/night for this place, I could probably justify it but I'm a bargain hunter and would rather pay $250/night for a $500/night hotel. However, if I ever find another deal like the one I got here, I'd jump at the opportunity in a second! -

For a Residence Inn, this place rocks.
I spend more than 1/4 of my year in Marriott's, and I usually dread staying in Residence Inns. This one is new, comfortable and has a bit of a boutique hotel feel.
I was upgraded into a ridiculous 2 bedroom suite / w a huge dining room, living room, etc. It was bigger than my condo. I can't vouch for the other rooms, but these were nice. (3 or 4 flatscreens in my room).
Though I only stayed 2 nights, it looks like they really tried to cater to the folks staying for the long-haul. They had communal dinners/games and all sorts of stuff.
I'll go back. -

Great Hotel. It's new so has LCD Screen. Which was centered in the room and swiveled from the Bed to the mini living room.
It's a Residence Inn so it has a the small kitchenette full featured. It felt like a small condo.
I recommend this hotel and from all the reviews I've seen online a lot of other people love the hotel to. That's why we chose to stay here for 2 days after the Conference.
Well worth it.
It's also a couple of blocks from Tim Hortons. :) And the entrance to the subway. So it is very convenient too. -
Review from Cindy O.
I've stayed here 3 times for business. I love this hotel, here is why:
-while a bit pricey at $200ish per night, it is comparable to other hotels of similar caliper in the area if not cheaper
-equipped KITCHEN...yes there is some great food in Toronto but I am a picky vegetarian, and often too tired to go out searching for healthy veg. food and while people rave about the food here, I still haven't found anything that great. beware vegetarians, many in the area think that chicken and beef broth, and chunks of fish are vegetarian. vegan is not a common word here. when I have found real veg food it has had a lot of sugar, fat or carbs
-bar is classy and great
-"social nights" = free food, the food is so so from a healthy veg perspective but hey it's free
-free breakfast - it's pretty good; most would say it's great but i'm a picky one
-awesome business center with 2 computers, fast printer, open all the time
-nice gym and pool
-everything inside is totally new, clean, classy and modern
-great staff, very friendly and helpful
-right in the middle of everything downtown toronto
-can't believe that tonight went down to biz. center and once outside my door heard a couple in the neighboring room giggling - but heard NOTHING in my room. YAY for thick walls.
-FREE wifi the way it should be
Only thing I don't like is no parking, $35 or so for valet parking, ouch, but since I make a lot of my own food by staying here it more than makes up for it and I don't get that crappy feeling I get when traveling for work and eating crappy vegetarian travel food (pasta, cheese, bread, rice, pasta, cheese, bread, and occasional overcooked veggies and iceburg lettuce).
