A fantastic place to stay in Halifax. It's halfway up the hill between the Citadel and the waterfront so the location couldn't be better. Close to all the best bars, restaurants and tourist locations.
The staff is extremely accommodating and the complementary breakfast is delicious.
The only downfall (for me) of this hotel is the lack of a hot tub. After coming in from the cold rain of Halifax I love a hot tub, and it wasn't there as advertised... Apparently they took it out when they renovated. However even with this they were accommodating and let us use the hot tub at any of the other Marriotts in the city. I'd definitely stay here again. -

Residence Inn is a great place to stay when visiting Halifax. I had some friends from out of town here and I recommended this to them. The location, you can't beat it. It is located on Grafton St, you can walk every where from here, close to the bars, restaurants,and the waterfront.
The rooms are really nice, the staff is great and you can have free wireless and complementary breakfast. The only thing is, if you are a light sleeper, when the bars get out around 2 am, it can get a little noisy. But that is nothing that can't be fixed with some ear plugs.
This is a great place to stay and average of $140.00 per night.
