Review from Doug G.
My favorite place for coffee and lunch at SFU.
I agree with the other reviewers, this family owned and operated location is great. Excellent staff, great coffee, good food. I usually have their Tuna Wrap and have them throw it on the Paninni grill. Nothing fancy, but inexpensive and good. Love it. -

i love you. don't ever change!!!
I wish i could get their bakery goods and their breakfast sandwich everywhere I go! Their youghurt parfaits are sooooooo good!!! so are their wraps (extremely filling). If you haven't tried their breakfast sandwich... you are missing out on SO much. It's even better than McDonalds breakfast sandwich 'cause it has BACON and SO much melted cheese! ahhh!!!! -

I like this little corner store with very friendly owners. I drop by to get the breakfast bagel and large coffee combo. Greasy but so good~ probably not the best thing to eat in the morning.
Their cookies are so-so. The muffins are ok too. I think I will stick to my bagel and coffee combo. -

I am a loyal Starbucks grrl. I never once expected to have to say that any place is better than Starbucks. Yet, here I am.
I love this place. I wish they had another near my condo. The coffee is excellent. I always get a cafe mocha, no whip, extra foam.
The employees, after 2 weeks, knew my order by heart and sometimes have it waiting before I even get to the counter. I love that!
Also, their food is awesome. Some of the best croissants you will ever have are there first thing in the morning every morning. They also have the biggest selection of food that I think I've ever seen at a coffee house. It's bloody impressive. -

....After three years of studying at SFU, I have admittedly never bought anything from Renaissance. Although I don't mind tea, I really don't like to drink coffee at all, so I don't really know what I would get from there.
At our first time at the Renaissance at Cornerstone (I feel like such a freshman), we ordered the chicken salad wrap + pop ($4.99) and butter chicken wrap + tomato tortellini ($4.99 + 1.99?).
The soup was extremely sour, but I did like that there were tomato chunks. There was a lot of vegetables inside, and there were three tortellinis in total -- they tasted okay. I didn't taste the butter chicken wrap, but the chicken salad inside my wrap (bottom) was basically.....

Family run coffee shop that is the best part of Simon Fraser University. They have various branches throughout the campus - and it's so convenient. Cheap prices, good servings, quality beverages, and SUPER friendly staff - could you really ask for anything else?

I agree with Anita K. Probably the only good thing about SFU. Sweet lovely people, great coffees and teas, and their butter chicken lunch special is the BEST.
