The food was delicious, and we loved all of the choices. Service was slow - took almost an hour to get our food. The place was packed, and we were seated right by the fireplace, which was a little uncomfortable. The staff were friendly, yet seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowds. I would go back, but maybe not on a weekend so it will (hopefully) be less crowded.

The service was lousy, the food wasn't that great. I ordered the Drunken Fungi burger with sirloin patty and it took over an hour to get the food. When I at the burger, all it felt like was fat on fat with no taste of anything else (typically, I do not enjoy lettuce, tomatoes or pickles in my burger, but they seemed to have forgotten to take it out of my burger and luckily was not able to taste it).

Great place for gourmet burgers. Sat on the patio with a work buddy. Service was a little slow as the place was packed on a Tuesday night, and it took a while for the dish to arrive - however that's due them cooking to order, which is a good thing.
So many choices, combinations. Their relishes are very good. Dips are amazing as well. -

Located right in the heart of the wonderful little Wortly Village, Relish is a destination restaurant for all burger connoisseurs alike. With is beautifully decorated country kitchen feel and charm to it, very friendly staff and great service this place is on my list as one of if not the best place to get a burger in the city. Although keep in mind they are not cheap, and a burger and fries will run you up to around $15 in many cases plus taxes.
As others have already mentioned be sure to check out their menu on-line because once you get there and you see the many great topping options that you can get on your burgers, you might be there a while just deciding on which one to get. I did not do so on my recent visit and I was stuck there for about 5 to 10 mins ready through every topping combination, I was a little awe struck to say the least. And the names are very humorous as well, someone must have had some fun coming up with these.
Once I finally came to a decision, I picked out the Stinky Pig on a bison burger which comes with blue cheese, bourbon sauce, 1000 island homemade dressing, bacon, lettuce, tomato slice, and caramelized onions, with a side order of their pinwheel frites. The better half happened to be with me on this visit and she order the Rock the Casbah on a lamb burger which comes with bruschetta mix, cucumber coins, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce and black olives and of course their amazing pinwheel frites as well.
When the burgers arrived at the table (which did not take that long at all seeing how busy it was when we were there) I was pleasantly surprised at how big the portions were, the burgers are absolutely humongous, and the buns that they use are amazing as well and really add to compliment such an amazing burger. The bison with the stinky pig toppings was one of if not the best burgers that I have ever tried, and I had a few bites of the girlfriends rock the casbah lamb burger which was equally amazing. The pinwheel frites are also among some of the best fries I have ever tasted, nice and crispy on the outside while keeping that nice soft baked potato inside, and I am a big wedge fry lover so these were right up my alley.
For all you burger lovers out there this is definitely the place to go if you want one of if not the best burgers in the city, and with almost endless topping options they will keep you coming back over and over again to try some more of the great topping combinations that they have put together for your taste buds enjoyment. I can't wait to go back and try another burger combination at what is quickly becoming the legendary Relish. Five stars for sure in my books! -

Been back a few times since my initial review and have had mixed results. I am not a fan of their sirloin burger, which has this odd seasoning flavour that does me wrong, but their bison burger was pretty good. Sweet potato fries is an excellent side, but the poutine's thick wedge cut fries isn't so appealing.
So pick carefully, intrepid burger connoisseurs.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I wish I could give them a 5-star rating, because the burger that I had - the wortley garden patch w/lamb - was so incredibly rich and delicious and quite possibly the best burger I've ever had (maybe rivalled by some of "The Works" burgers in Ottawa)... but... the wedge fries were dry and tasteless, the "smokey avocado relish" was overpoweringly smokey, and the price is simply too high for burgers.
That said, I would definitley return as I've been dreaming about my lamb burger for the past few days. I'll just bring a bit more money.
Also - not relevant, but there was an afternoon hockey game on that I wanted to watch but the nearest TV was being used for cartoons for a family. I was pretty bitter about that, as the kid watching the volumeless TV was probably 14 or so, but good for the restaurant for being family friendly I guess. -

Not bad but I may have expected too much. Burgers were dry. Found it overpriced for the quality/quantity.

The large selection of burgers on the menu can be a bit bewildering, but once that's sorted out it is nice to get something unique and fun. One minus: you can't do a totally custom burger by substituting, but hey, that's why it's their restaurant and not mine.
I had the veggie burger with a variety of nice toppings including goat cheese and roasted red peppers. It arrived in a basket with a nice heap of shoestring fries. Everything on the plate was quite good with the exception of the veggie patty - it was the "peas and carrots" type, with a predominant curry flavour that I found out of place given the toppings. It also falls apart as you eat it, so it can be bit messy going. But the bun and toppings were excellent, and I could have eaten two more plates of the shoestring fries.
One last quibble: this place has cloth napkins, which is awesome. But whoever's in charge of laundry needs to quit using fabric softener! There's nothing worse than wiping your mouth with a napkin that tastes like Bounce. -

Relish has usurped the crown of Best Burger in Town!
The great things that Relish has going for it are the variety of choice (something like 40 burgers to choose from), the creativity of the menu (ranges from standard bacon burger to peanut butter & cream cheese), and the quality of the meat (excellent). I highly recommend the poutine burger, which is a meld of two of my favourite things to eat, and left me wondering why no one had thought of this before. Also the fact that I can get Kraft Dinner as a side dish just rocks.
I had to ding them for the crazy long wait (granted I went during peak hours), and the price ($25 for a burger meal is a little steep)
Overall a great place to go if you are looking for a better quality or out of the ordinary burger. -

Had a good experience both times I went here. Staple "gourmet burger" sport with some cool twists. Can't remember the burger names that I had specifically but they were both really good size portions. The fries were amazing the first time I came, however they changed their recipe and I can't say the same for my second trip. Craft beer they had over the winter was good too. All in all good spot- Little expensive for a burger joint though.

With so many options I had to plan ahead checked the menu online. Ended up splitting the poutine then got the spicy french man with the mac n cheese. First off the burger woah such great texture with the crunchy of the onions and creamy brie so amazing I only got half way cause the portions where so huge! Definitely recommend this place! And in such a cute area.
