This is a small, neighbourhood, family run sushi restaurant. They make very good sushi...they have all the standards plus some originals. I really enjoy their huge house roll... $6.95....stuffed with veggies, crab, tuna and egg. They also have a real crab meat Cali roll which is my personal fav.
A word of warning. This place is popular, particularly for take out on Friday, Saturday and holiday evenings. It can get super busy. If you do take out at this time be prepared to wait. But don't get mad at them...its family run...husband, wife and parents. Their kids are usually sitting watching TV. They are so friendly but completely overworked! Sometimes I wish I could just go in and help out and give them a day off. Too bad I can't make sushi.
If you live in this neighbourhood and will get sushi regularly, make sure you ask for the stamp card. Once you buy ten sushi meals and fill up the stamp card your next meal is 50% off...the first time we got the 50% off we ordered well over $100 of food for a huge group of us. It was awesome...I kind of felt bad that it was so cheap but the owner didn't seem to mind. I think he is thrilled to have regular customers.
If I am not mistaken these guys were rated the best sushi by the North Shore Outlook last year. Keep up the awesome work Red Tom Bo.
