Amazing location, beautiful hotel, exceptional staff. Only great memories to be made.
Although we are all human, these guys think way outside the box!
Love it here!
Great Staff in every department! -

I booked this hotel on http://hotwire.com for about $80, so the price was moderate and it was chosen at random.
I found my stay here to be unpleasant because of the shape of the hotel. All the rooms are facing each other and look down to the atrium where the cafe is. Because of the shape, noise travels up to the rooms and it is very noisy at all times of the day. Large groups of people are constantly coming in and out because of the conference rooms and restaurant making it very noisy. I had a hard time falling asleep here and had to blast the fan to drown out the laugher.
The last item I found unpleasant was the fitness center. I am on the road all day and enjoy coming back to the hotel to workout and unwind. This fitness center is located right across from the main elevator with glass windows so it's basically like you are on display. As a young woman I felt this facility was unwelcoming and poorly planned.
I booked my last night here in Spokane at the Holiday Inn instead, I need at least one good night of sleep. -

The rooms are very nice and the breakfast buffet is really yummy. You can get pretty filled up on breakfast. They have scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, potatoes, pancakes, toast, muffins, bagels, coffee, two kinds of juice.
You have to pay to park though which is really weird if you ask me. It's close to Spokane arena and Riverfront park both within walking distance. -

Dog friendly. We got an upgrade so we could be on the first floor with our dog. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, and the service was first rate. I would definitely recommend.

We were there on Easter Sunday just for the brunch. Service was fantastic, friendly and fast. Food was great and there was a good selection of foods, my fav the crab claws and smoked scallops. They easily handled large parties and we had no complaints.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night while we were in Spokane. The location is awesome, considering that you are pretty much "in" the park. We had a great time just exploring around the area, so I definitely can't complain about the location. However, I was not too terribly impressed with the rest of our stay at the Red Lion.
We paid quite a bit for a room (over $150 for one night, not including the $15 it cost to park there), and were expecting something nice! However, we were put in a very small room with a bed, a chair and a desk, and a TV. That's it. I've stayed in Holiday Inns that were better than this place! We had no balcony, a view of the parking lot, and the air conditioning wouldn't go below 65 (and it would frequently quit working). They had bottled water in the room for $2 a piece, and an ice machine down the hall, but no ice bucket. Also, if you want someone to visit you while you're in town, expect them to either pay a ridiculous amount to park here, or to park elsewhere.
The people who worked at the Red Lion were extremely friendly, and I do have to commend them on their customer service. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but it was your average buffet style complimentary breakfast. However, for the price we paid, we were dissapointed with our accomodations during our stay.
For the money, next time I'd stay at the DoubleTree, or another hotel NEAR the park, not necessarily IN the park. -

Whatever you do, DON'T choose this hotel! They are a nightmare! We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and woke up with bug bites all over our legs.
Then they promised to make it up to us so we gave them another chance because we liked having a poolside room. I called THREE TIMES to confirm that we would get the room we wanted so we could make plans with family; every time I was assured we would get the room we wanted. They even told me the room number!
After driving all night we show up to NO ROOM! Nothing. Just an offer of a single bed in another hotel so my kids can sleep on rollaway beds!
They have now ruined another vacation. I would strongly recommend you don't let them ruin yours!
On top of it all, the night manager is a complete jerk! -

Great location!
We booked here through hotwire last minute, as we were not 100 percent of where we would be spending each day on our recent WA vacation. The Red Lion Hotel proved to be a real winner in accommodations, as we particularly enjoyed the view from our room (amazing pool + the river) and the friendly staff.
We did have to drop one star for the review though, as parking was an unexpected expense, and our 'prepayment' on the roomcard to exit the parking area didn't go through and we had to return to the lobby to have it fixed. -

So, it would seem if you pay through their site you will get breakfast, if you use hotwire you get nothing.
And, its $14 per day to park in this fortress of solitude. They have gates at the entrence that kept people from coming to the hotel to see me. Once they parked outside and sent someone in. Hello??? You are Spokane, get a grip.
Called down once asking for soap, was told they were busy and they would try to get me some. Two days later.....it never arrived.
Don't think I will ever try Red Lion again. Doubletree was very nice. -

I think this hotel is a solid 4-stars. That said -- I had to ding them a star for my check-in and their new parking policy.
Everything else was great -- beds, bathroom, linens, meeting space, bar, lobby, grounds.
But, no rooms were available at check-in (3pm). I was told to have a seat and I'd be given a call when my room became available. I went into the bar to sit (lugging all of my luggage with me.) An HOUR later, I went back to find that my room had been available for awhile and no one had bothered to call me. When I mentioned this, the front desk agent looked uncomfy, stammered and then moved on to the next part of the check-in process without saying anything. I had an event to attend that evening with a set start time, and losing the hour in my room made maintaining my punctuality very difficult.
Also, they now charge a ridiculous fee to park... in an outdoor parking lot. -

Good downtown Spokane location. Decent enough if you don't want to pay for the Davenport.
I don't remember why, but I got a voucher for a free buffet breakfast which was pretty decent. Two towers make up the hotel, I stayed in the taller tower. Nothing super special jumps out at me about the room, but it was nice and clean and new.
There's also a huge outdoor pool with a waterslide, but apparently it's closed during the winter. I walked out in the morning to check it out and to take a picture of it and then realized the door behind was locked. I was locked in, surrounded by gates and guest rooms. So I walked along the rooms until I found one with the drapes open and knocked on the glass. I spewed out a few thank you's and sorry's as I walked through their room, back into the lobby. Too fun. -

Blah Blah and more Blah. I have stayed here on two separate occasions, (Work trips, not my hotel choice) and both stays have been punctuated with unresponsive staff and amenities that rival a motel 6.
The hotel staff seems to have a hard time bringing it all together. On my first stay I was given a room that was completely unacceptable.(Feces left in the toilet and the lingering smell to announce it , coupled with a broken tv) I was then UPGRADED to a room that had a poorly functioning heating system. In both conservations with the staff they seem rather unconcerned as if this was business as usual.
On my second stay it took me 20+ minutes to check in as the single person at the front desk was dealing with a continuous barrage of upset guests.
Their parking lot requires you to have a pass to enter and exit. Upon check out on my final day I was presented with a bills for a $14 dollar a day parking charge. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Most upscale hotels charge a $15-20 charge for Valet Parking. This is certainly not a valet parking situation.
Final advice: Stay somewhere else. -

Not sure why, but I did not have a high opinion of Red Lion, however our reqular hotel was booked so we took a chance. We're glad we did!
This is a nice, large hotel. Our room was small with a queen bed, $120 per night with our AAA discount. We booked our room via their website which was easy to use. All was clean and in order. Check-in and check-out was problem free and the staff was very nice.
We did not try the restaurants/bar.
Our favorite part about this Hotel is that there is a bridge in the back that takes you over to the park. Downtown is a short walk away thru the park, so the location is very good.
There was no balcony but we were able to open the windows somewhat.
Parking was no problem here, so we say this Hotel is pretty good. Like many hotels they do have you sign the usual agreement to pay a huge amount if you smoke in the room.
Don't confuse this Red Lion location with the other Red Lion just a few blocks away, that one is directly on Division. That Red Lion is not recommended, check my review!
To get the whole story, check my photos of the hotel and room.
One other tip from traveler to traveler, be aware that the Spokane area is a hot spot for speed traps and heavy traffic enforcement. It appears to be an important source for revenue, so be very careful as you drive in Spokane! -

I stayed here for 3 education conferences. It is older. I like that. The rooms were clean and the staff was prompt and helpful.
I did eat out, a low cost Burger King around the corner had salads and baked potatoes! -
Review from Andrew T.
Better than the other Red Lion. The room is basically identical, but the amenities are nicer - a TV from after 1960, just newer feeling in general. Still an awesomely small bathroom, not that I spend a lot of time in there. My fridge holding furniture actually had a fridge in it. That's cool. They use the same ultra-tuck apparatus here as the other Red Lion does.
I had a room in the tower, another guy did not - and his room may not have been as nice. I would maybe request tower rooms to get something decent.
Worth noting that you can Priceline this for way less than the $120 numbers I see people throwing out. I know you can't pick the hotel, but we've gotten this one for $60. We've also gotten the other Red Lion for the same price though...Listed in: Red Lion

The hotel was a little older and more worn than I expected. It's right along the river and next to GU. If you need to be near the Gonzaga, then I would recommend this hotel. If you like something a little more modern, but in the same price range, check out the Double Tree across the street.
PROS: parking is free, decent basketball court, my room came with a fridge. -

Great location. You can often find good deals ecpecially during the week.Indoor/Outdoor Pool, both are nice. Good work out room. Food & drinks are overpriced, but lots of other options close by. Staff friendly, house keeping a little sloppy and miss details. Bartenders also allright. Awesome for kids.

Seattle, WA
It was a decent hotel, but nothing to rave about. Clean rooms, however decor and structure is dated. Nice flat screen tv in the room, which was a pro. Major pros to staying here include price, vicinity to downtown, Gonzaga university, free shuttle to the airport (however, did not use during my stay), and a very nice view (depending on what room you're staying in) of a river that is situated right next to the hotel. If you go out to the pool you can see it and there is a nice bridge right by the pool where you can view the river. Very nice!
Some cons: the room was clean, but the room seemed to not have been used for a long time so maybe these were the same sheets and pillows that had been there for months, not sure. I personally didn't like the rug and there seemed to be some spots on it,but the rug is dark so its unnoticeable, and the window's were a bit dirty... The hotel does allow pets, which is pro and con, depending on your liking. Saw dogs and a different family carrying their pet lizard across the hallway.
They offer other amenities - pool, dining, sports, etc, but those weren't used during my trip. -

I'm not a huge fan of Red Lion Hotels. This particular one is better than her sister over on Division though. The lounge is nice and the food is SPECTACULAR!! I am a sucker for any establishment serving seared Ahi! Their restaurant serves this amazing 'Ahi Napolean' that is worth the $126 I paid to sleep there. The staff was greatly friendly but not friendly enough for the price. However, I can't complain too much about the price because in all honesty this place is less expensive than a lot of places in Spokane, including the Holiday Inn Express. The staff is pretty easy going; not uptight and the beer choices are above average. Sooooooooo, if I HAD to stay here again I wouldn't be TOO upset.

I stayed here a couple years ago and it was very nice. It's super clean and service was good. Location convenient to downtown. It's a bit spendy, but you pay just as much for other places downtown that aren't as nice.

Delta Junction, AK
This hotel is all potential, but weak on delivery. I'll only touch on the positives. Strong points are the breakfast and lunch space, banquet space, pool, and proximity to the park and downtown.
The breakfast and lunch room is pretty interesting: basically seated in a planter, surrounded by plants. The menu is pretty typical "hotel" fair. Probably pre-packaged, but served promptly. The most outstanding feature of the breakfast/lunch dinning area is server Michelle. Extra star for her. Smiling and professional. Most of Southwest Airlines would agree!! Most un-outstanding feature: is that a dinning room on the river?? Why can't I sit there??
Banquets: There is tons of clean, well lit and spacious banquet facilities. Banquet service is good. Probably one of the best spaces in town - I've been to many banquets at the Davenport, for what that is worth.
One not-so-well-known fact: pretty cool outdoor pool during the summer - perhaps the best in town. So, when attending that dry seminar on glucose-free cereal varnishes, bring the kiddies!
Lastly, Spokane's signature Park is right across the walkway. Spokane has a decent pub-crawl potential, so just head out the south exit, across the park to the carousel and start at the pub across the street. Cheers! -

Meh, Roadtrippin' with Grams and Gramps and we made some reservations for the joint. From the outside the hotel looked pretty snazzy but once we got to our room we realized it was foolin' us. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible by no means, but it wasn't exactly great. The bedding seemed of very cheap quality and there was this big burn mark on the floor (looked like someone had left a curling iron on the carpet) There was this fly in the window that I named Buzzy2 and that was definately a plus. But the toiletries were very nice-all from Bath and Body Works. The room was fairly clean and all was okay-but don't expect excellence.

Hey, this place aint half bad! The food is decent, the rooms are clean. Bathroom ceiling shows some sign of mildew. I've got a view of the dam outside. Haven't checked out the indoor pool yet, but they've got one indoors and outdoors. Front desk folks let us check in early. A major plus.

We stayed here for the weekend, spending time with family, during the day.
When we first checked in, the front desk staff informed me that I purchased through a "third party". I knew that I had booked through Priceline, but he had to mention it not once but three times. He informed me that we will be staying in a "double bed room". Didn't know there was such a thing, in this day and age, but looking at the decor, wasn't surprise. My biggest surprise was the location of the room was on the first floor. When we returned from a family birthday party that evening, our room had never been cleaned (bed made and clean towels). I had to call the front desk for clean towels and we made the bed ourselves! The parking fee was $9.00 per day (another mention of booking through a "third party", but since I have stayed here for business, I was aware of the parking. I will think twice again to spend this kind of money to be staying in the basement! -

Buffet breakfast is a joke! Horrible quality. You might be better off ordering from the menu or looking at other options nearby.

Atlanta, GA
I stayed here for friend's wedding. It was fine but a bit pricey for an aging hotel. The outdoor pool is a definite plus - it has a water slide! My hubby didn't like that both pools were only 4 feet deep. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were very nice (especially in the bar and restaurant), but the housekeeping could have been a bit more detail oriented when it came to replacing coffee and stuff like that. I was pretty disappointed in the food at the restaurant. The dish I had was completely inedible and the hubby's burger was mediocre. Nice to be walking distance from the park though.
