In a town where most things are geared towards the tourist with higher prices and quirky gimmicks to get the tourists money this place was none of that. We found this place while walking back along Government Street from Chinatown. We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the pricing. The food was better than expected and a great value, a small menu but great execution. A variety of coffee drinks, teas and blended drinks, breakfast and lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Perhaps I just went to this place on a bad day, but I was severely disappointed with the service.

The woman at the counter was horribly unpleasant.  We had ordered one of the baked goods (a peanut butter bar).  We wanted to eat it in the Cafe and it was like pulling teeth to obtain a plate and forks with which to eat it.  Naturally, the peanut butter bar contained too much sugar and not enough flavor.

Additionally, I had ordered a Mango Smoothie, but the woman at the counter served me a tasteless Raspberry Smoothie.  Because it felt already as if I was ruining the server's day just by coming into the Bistro, I didn't feel like giving it back to her (would she spit in it?).

Great location, perfect patio, quiet seating, so what's wrong? Service! When your friends are at the counter and you're engaged in inappropriate gossip and a customer walks in. Guess who's more important? Stunning! And, as if that wasn't enough. My perfectly foamed Chai Latte was intolerably too sweet. I beg you fiery dragon take this perfect bistro and loose the inefficient staff and hire real baristas.
