Although Red Arrow is more than Greyhound, they have a superior experience.  They offer a variety of cookies, cans of pop, bottled water, tea, and coffee.  If you want a bottle of water though, act quick as they are usually gone halfway through the trip.

The aisles are wide and leather seats are comfortable and you don't have to worry if you have a seatmate because they have their a lot of space.

The wireless can on occassion be slow but it's great to be able to surf the internet or work without the worry of driving.  If you don't have a laptop, bring your earphones as they show a movie.

For less than $70 one way, it's a great way to travel between Edmonton and Calgary and enjoy the amenities.

I've already reviewed the Edmonton location of the Red Arrow so instead of rehashing how great the buses are, I'll just touch on a couple things that are more specific to the Calgary ticket centre.

Unlike the Edmonton location, this stop has automatic sliding doors. Normally I wouldn't really care about something so trivial but when you're a vertically-challenged like me, it can be difficult trying to maneuver two giant suitcases through a manual door.

Pick-up and drop-off at this station aren't entirely ideal. There really isn't much space for anyone to stop their car to let you off at the station. There is an impark lot next door, but no "official" Red Arrow parking from what I can see.

Overall I've never really had any issues with the buses themselves. They are clean and comfortable and ALWAYS leave on time. What more can I ask for? Cookies? Check! Assorted beverages? Check! Wi-Fi? Well I'm sitting on the bus right now writing this so clearly they have Wi-Fi which is such a great help for the student/business traveller. Red Arrow is awesome.

There is no better way to travel between Edmonton and Calgary.  They have many trips a day, they are almost as fast as driving and they offer free cookies and drinks.

I have been using them for many years and with the exception of the slow free internet access on the coaches and yearly fare hikes I have no complaints.

My work often requires travel between Edmonton and Calgary; thus, I require an efficient, resonably priced means of transportation.  Red Arrow is my choice.  Cleaner and safer than Grayhound, cheaper than flying, and not requiring the focus of driving are all reasons for this choice.

A round trip ticket from Calgary to Edmonton costs $140.  However, wireless internet and 3 hours of time to focus on whatever I need to make this price an easy sell to my employer.  I find that I often get a lot of work done on those trips.

The leather seats make the ride very comfortable and if you book far enough ahead you can get single seating seats.  There are plug ins for latops and free pop, coffee, tea, and cookies for the journey.

There is a lot to like about this little Alberta company.

I've travelled on red arrow a number of times between Calgary and Edmonton. The busses are clean and comfortable, and the service is great. There is also free wi-fi and snacks. The location is right downtown, which is convenient if need to go from office-to-bus.

For slightly more than the price of gas, I find it a lot more enjoyable to spend 3 hours productively on my laptop rather than worrying about traffic. In addition, I haven't witnessed any horrifying accidents on this bus line. What more could you ask for?
