In my humble opinion, Superstore offers some of the best prices in the city. The selection is great, and their Blue Menu line is off the hizzle (translation: I really like them). Yup, it still has that warehouse feel to it, but c'mon! The savings are great!
They also have a fairly decent natural/organic selection.
The only thing I find a bit questionable is their produce. Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible, it's just not as fresh as it could be.
Oh! And if you're a cereal junkie like me (Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my KRYPTONITE!!!) Superstore is the best place to buy your morning munchies. The cereal prices just can't be beat!

And what's that? You provide TONS of free parking? Well bless your heart Superstore. Thanks for thinking of me **tear**

22 cents for lemon grass. $3 pineapples. $3 bags of tomatoes on the vine...

As good as their prices are they come with a big catch.
This store is huge! Like you could land a jumbo jet in here YO!
So... with this in mind, buyer beware.

Airport hanger sized store = big parking lot = tons of shoppers at ALL hours = long-ass lineups with minimal checkout staff = frustrated customers = head aches = "Is this really worth it?"

This store is in our roster of places to make the big quarterly visits to buy all things non perishable.

Just don't go if you are short of time, or hungry, or already have a headache!

Superstore is the best place for groceries. Good value, great selection plus you can visit the doctor, Fill your prescriptions, get your eyes checked, buy insurance, fill your car up on gas and even do your banking.

In addition to a great new look, They have really expanded the store. My favorites are their clothing line called Joe (good price and nice quality), and a couple aisles of healthy foods that you usually find at stores like choices and whole foods. No need to make an extra trip for my coconut ice cream, eziekal branded foods or vegan/lactose and gluten free alternatives. just visit superstore and you're set!

Service is always a little lacking and the line ups are long but it's well worth the trip. If you can figure out the self check out, you can shorten your visit and if you're expecting, there are many parking spots just for you near the entrance.

Bring your own reusable bags and stock up on groceries! Go on Monday mornings for a stress free and quiet shopping experience when the shelves are restocked and prices are newly marked down.

i used to shop at Canadian Superstore when i lived in Alberta...there are a few products they carry that i go once or twice per year...if it was closer to where i live i would frequent it more often...being there last night reminded me of the great selection they carry and the very good grocery prices

Well, I come here because it is cheaper than just about anywhere else but only when my friend with a car is also going so about once a month. I put up with the LONG lines and rude pushy people because I really can't afford to shop at Safeway. If I spend $100 here once or twice a month I can completely avoid Safeway altogether so that makes me happy.

The reason "I'm a fan" is because I couldn't stand shopping here before the renovation. It was utterly disgusting. It is MUCH nicer now but go on Sunday nights if you can, otherwise you will rip your hair out trying not to get run over or end up having to stand in line for an hour.

Wow, it looks like they totally redid this place.  I've been shopping here for over a decade, and I could barely recognize the store.  Granted, this transformation to the new "blue and white" theme has been happening to other locations over the years too.  Everything looks so much more upscale.

Superstore is MUCH cheaper than Safeway, and generally have 90% of what you need.  I'm a huge fan of their bulk section.  Reese's Pieces for teh win.

Another plus is the gas station, where you can get Superbucks, which is basically free grocery money.  Superstore is still one of the cheapest places to get Premium gas, if you drive a luxury vehicle.

A recent addition (and by recent I mean 3 years or so) is the self-checkout.  If you know what you're doing, this is 5 times faster than the regular checkout.  Unfortunately, most people seem to have no clue what they're doing.

One of my favourite pastimes during my younger days is to launch my car up the ramp and catch air on the long downhill.  This is on the W end of the parking lot.

It's really hard to beat this place.  Where'd we be without Superstore..

I just wanted to pick up one item and go through the self checkout line! And somehow the other line-ups with 'humans' working were going much quicker. I know many other places (ie. Safeway) have this thing, maybe not to perfection, but way better than Superstore. I came here to browse around, and somehow found something to buy, and if it was not such a good deal I would have dropped the item and left this joint.

It is true that a Superstore, is just that, but this one is trouble just coming into the lot. Many high ramps, narrow turns, bad drivers (no, this is not the stores fault, more the people that are coming here), unorganized selection of products, and that yellow tinged lighting! (that is probably going a stretch but still!). Not the best place to come to for your grocery store needs, compared to their other fleet of stores, and the traffic getting out of this place, from where it is located, and the time of day can be another nightmare waiting to happen.

Sooo I've been here 15 minutes now and nobody's pushed me, all the Joe Fresh racks are hung neatly, the aisles are well stocked, and most of the produce actually looks pretty awesome. Oh and the check out lady just told me to have a nice day.

    Is this really a Superstore?

Superstore "It is what it is"

This location is especially disorganized compared to the Richmond location.  Why do we keep coming back?  Is it the lack of cashiers, lack of bagging service, the surly staff, mis-tagged items or rude customers?
Well, it comes down to their good prices and selection.  Make sure you come in with lots of PATIENCE.

They are currently under-going renovations and the aisles are looking eerily like Walmart in the US.  If they could only deliver the service and organization like  Walmart in the states.... or like Safeway & IGA while keeping the lower prices.  Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I find Superstore much less inspiring than Save On or Safeway, which I think are in the same category. even the President's Choice that I do like about them can't elevate their status for me.

I saw a sign that said "Now Open 24 Hours," (maybe just through the holidays?) so that reinforces my view of Superstore as merely "will do in a pinch."

    Superstore is, well Superstore.

For a brief period of time I shopped at IGA (proximity convenience). Ouch on the pocketbook.

Everything packaged is pretty much unbeatable. What lacks is the produce (rarely fresh) and bakery selection.

Of course the classic 'gourmet to go' deal is their BBQ chicken for $7.99 (price might be wrong). I lived off that way too much during school.

Major pain though is their lack of checkouts that are open at one time, even during peak periods. They have like 25+ total, but I rarely see more than 6 or so open. I hate to say it but I wish they put in some self check out machines.

They're amidst a complete reno (Green to Red design) like the one done at Grandview.

Also if you're a decent looking guy, you'll probably be hit on by this decent looking cougar. Say I said hi. She'll know.

It smells funny and the staff can be pretty useless but sampling the bulk products has been a favorite past time of mine, along with asking the bakery for free cookies for my "younger sibling".

That aside, great prices, very convenient to get to and a great return policy. Taking advantage of their price matching is another hobby of mine.

In addition to this, the PC brand is just amazing - many PC products are even better than their brand name counterparts.

I'm not usually a fan of the big box grocery stores..but there is something about Superstore I can't resist. Maybe is the low prices, maybe the fun home decor knock offs, maybe the super healthy "blue menu" they offer..I dunno what it is but every time I drive past one I get all tingly inside....

This location in particular is one of my faves. It's never too busy...there is always parking close to the door...and the shoppers are not too pushy and annoying.....like some other Superstore which I won;t mention but I think we all know which one I'm talking about...

I like that I can get absolutely everything I need in one stop...milk, eggs, coffee, cookie sheets, bedding, blender, flat screen TV,  lawn darts..you name it they have it!

Word of advise...get a token for the cart that you can use at all locations. This saves you from leaving a "cart loonie" in your car that you normally use weekly to get the cart..but this week your boyfriend happened to use said "cart loonie" for parking any neglected to tell you...this makes for a very angry grocery shopper and alot of air kicking and stomping in the parking lot....just sayin'

Another bonus..this location is open 24 hours from December 5th - 23rd for the holidays...just in case you need lawn darts at 3am....

I love grocery shopping! But the one thing I hate is when I am unfamiliar with where everything is because it takes me twice as long.. and I take way longer than any average shopping lady would. this place is a massive playground! It's like Walmart/ Costco put into one. I felt like the Simpsons commercial when everything around me was sold in massive sizes and I could not decide whether to buy it because I would probably never be able to finish it!
Prices are great and there are also BULK items where I can buy all my baking needs. I am always up for a value and if you are willing to take some time to discover this wonderful maze, I encourage you to try it!
