This is my current favourite coffee spot to hit before work. I love the simplicity in their sizing, and my go to drink is a milk chocolate americano.
I love the shop, but what I don't love is that it's apparently THE hangout of the stroller happy crowd. They clog up the seating, and tend to be noisier than necessary. (The kids, I don't mind, it's the gossiping moms I could do without). But that said, everyone needs a great coffee spot, so I don't blame them.
Killer brownies, also. I can never resist. -

4.5 STARS
Nothing like a HOT latte on a HOT day - but I had to give Re-Entry a try!
The good:
The decor was retro style almost like a diner.
The staff were pleasant.
The latte (made with Seattle's Vivace Espresso) was fantastic!
Smooth as a "Brazilian" !!! Rich and Creamy! Awesome! 5 STARS!
The bad:
To survive in the wonderful world of the coffee business- you have to be able to sell other things! ie. Baked goods, Panini, anything! To increase revenues! There was NOTHING to buy! Only 6 tiny muffins that didn't look great!
The ugly:
The name of the place! Re-Entry - a little too close to "rear entry" for my liking! But hey - whatever turns your crank!
Overall - worth a visit for a GREAT LATTE!!!!Listed in: Best Lattes in Vancouver!

Woah! I mean it. I thought Re-Entry looked cute, so it had that going for it for sure, I mean really really cute. It looks like an old diner with booths! But it has more going for it...
This is really good coffee!
I had a single Macchiato. Sniffed at it, examined it closely, then slurped that divine fluid up so fast all that was left was the dollop of foam.
So I had to know, where did this come from? Vivace from Seattle. What I understand about Vivace, is that they've been roasting for over 20 years. Well, I think they got it right. And Re-entry doesn't take this for granted. The Baristas here are well trained. They do that Bean right!
Also to note: Goods baked right there. Croissants, muffins and other totally irresistible pastries.

We've been stopping by Re-Entry Espresso over the years when we've been in town & I have to say I'm surprised by the reviews on yelp thus far. Our family likes this place.
Our orders run the gamut of any espresso place: americanos, lattes, breves and kid's drinks - cold & hot. Everything we've had here has been consistent - the espresso is good, nothing earth shattering, but solid.
We've found the service to be friendly - and they're nice to the kids, the seating is typical of most coffee places in the Seattle-Tacoma area -- not uncomfortable, not lazy boys either. The space has a spare, slightly modern feel to it. We don't go here for food, just drinks; our expectation in a small espresso place is not to see much food - if they do, awesome, that's gilding the lily.
Re-Entry has reasonable prices and consistent, classic drinks - if that's what you're going for, you'll find more than adequate refreshment!Listed in: A Slice of Main Street,…

I love the styling here. The theme, the colour combinations.
The coffee is also good. My americano was strong, rich and dark enough to make me worry if I was going to space out and burn up on re-entry. It's obvious that coffee is the first order of business. I'll gladly come back when in the neighbourhood. -

Tara nails it on the head with "underwhelmed." Me too. My friend suggested this Main Street spot as a meeting place, assuring me of it's cool vibe. Cool was right: my tea was served barely lukewarm and I sat there shivering under an air conditioning vent blasting down on my head. When you have to sit there drinking tea with your jacket on, it's too cold! And yes, the seats are hard and designed for very small bums. It's not a comfy place I could hang out for awhile, staring into space.
And would it kill them to get some newspapers or magazines? Just thinking about re-entering Re-Entry kinda makes me angry.Listed in: Pleasantville

Well this was my first time being at Re-Entry and has been on my list of places to visit seeing that I frequent Main Street's Antique and Boutique section weekly. At first glance this place has a novelty feel and for me this is a good thing because to many places are taking the Starbucks feel to heart. Though I do wish that the banquets were a little more comfy.
As usual I had ordered my bench mark for all places, a Mocha with no whip, but sadly I found that the way they make, coca powder/syrup, made the mocha a little too bitter (even though I had requested a Milk Chocolate one that usually is sweeter). Even though that had happened they didn't make it as scolding hot as most places and their Cheese Crossaunts are supre yummy (especially so early in the morning!)
I would consider coming back for a different feel and heck just a to-go order is recommended if you want something a little different! -

Coffee first. Comfort second. Re-entry gets top marks for serving Vivace beans.... the dolce roast for americanos is a nice touch.
The other reviews do a pretty good job of describing the ambiance and setting, which could be a lot more inviting. Then again, I have yet to find a reliable place with the elusive combination good coffee and plentiful wireless. -

I'd heard about Re-Entry as a café that has wireless Internet. As a writer, I am always on the look out for new wireless places to work, so off I trod to this space-themed café.
Upon entering I was under whelmed. The lighting was dim and the atmosphere felt dull. I went to order something to eat, but there was hardly anything to choose from. Only a small selection of tiny muffins, scones, croissants, and cookies graced their shelves. I chose an orange and cranberry scone and an apple juice.
I sat down at one of their tiny two person booths and ate my scone (which was rather tasty, however this might be because I had been depriving myself of sugar for over a week). The hard wood seat was very uncomfortable and there's no way I could fathom sitting in here doing work for very long. Plus the energy was so bland at Re-Entry, and I prefer a place with a vibe that entices me to stay a while.
I won't be going back to Re-Entry to do my work or sit for very long. If I'm strolling pass I'll happily get a drink or small snack, but that's about it. -

Great coffee and better pastries. Try the croissants or the fruit pull-apart - amazing!
Not the place I'd want to hang out in for hours, but that's not my scene. Only real problem is that the distance between the benches and the tabletops in the booths is a little tight. -

Excellent Hot Cocoa! Best in town...
I was soo excited when my friend introduce me to this place this past winter when I was really craving a 'real' hot cocoa. I always make my own, made from fresh Swiss chocolate that I order online. Of course, there are few that uses these ingredients until I discovered Re-entry!
The hot cocoa is excellent because they use the real dark Swiss chocolated infused with milk, or soy. Almost all coffee places uses the syrup. I recommend getting 2% or homo. It's how they make it in Europe, so treat yourself to try a really authentic hot cocoa.
Staff is supppper nice too, but they do lack a seating area. The atmosphere belongs on Main and it is a nice and casual place to read sunday paper. Sorry, I can't give reviews on the coffee bc I don't drink it. But my friend who introduced me to this place, only buys his coffee from here and it is one of the best he tells me.
I've been a regular there during the winter and probably you will see me there on summer evenings too! If you like Mink, you will like it here. I've been to both. Just completely different atmosphere that's all and if you are close to either places consider yourself lucky! -
Review from Emma L.
I used to live around the corner, and would stop by frequently for their delicious pastries. Some of the best croissants I've had in this city! Their coffee and lattes are excellent too. The only trouble is it's quite small -- more the sort of place to pick up something yummy to go rather than sit and gab with a friend.

This place, hands down, has the best espresso coffee in town along with free Wi-Fi to boot.

IT'S GONE!!! I walked past today and there was a "for lease" sign in the window. RIP Re-Entry, you were a good friend and reliable, parent-friendly cafe. Too bad...
