After several years away, I returned to Raw in my hometown of St.
Albert for a trial updo in preparation for my upcoming wedding.
I was really impressed. The space is still cool, open and edgy, with dark floors but big windows.
Loretta (I think that was her name!) really listened to what I wanted and spent about 10 minutes talking about ideas with me. She looked at the photos I had brought and did a great job creating exactly what I wanted. She also gave me lots of tips for the day of the wedding in terms of hair care.
It was a fun hour, I was pleased with the result, and my hair is one thing I definitely won't be stressed about for the wedding! -

I went here today because (due to recent bad damage!!) I thought I'd have to chop off my long locks and get a short cut. SO I thought "well lets go back to RAW and see what they can do for me".
I have to say the girl did a great job with my hair..AND I didn't have to chop it all off she managed to save as much as she could! Which was great news; as I am a big baby about my hair and have this obsessive attachment to it. The girl chatted to me before hand and we talked about my issues, and she gave me loads of useful tips.
All that considered, it cost me nearly $90 for a basic wash and cut..which I think was pretty excessive; but like I said I was desperate. And I'm really not convinced there was anything "special" about this cut that would make it worth that much money. I mean, ya "technically" she did a good job, but I've definitely had better cuts for less..1 Previous Review: Show all »
