The wife and I were visiting the sister in law and family in kelowna. We wanted a nice dinner to ourselves and the previous yelp comments suggested this would be a good place. We also checked out their website and they talked a lot about using orgnic veg and grain fed meat which is usually reflected in restaurant prices. But if you prefer knowing you're not going to be eating a steak pumped with drugs to give a few extra slices then we would really recommend eating here.

The wife had wild boar meat ball, rigotoni with slice of ham, peas, and one of the best we've ever tasted garlic creame sauce. The ham was excellent pasta cooked perfectly. The wild boar was okay not to gamey but could of been seasoned more. I had the braised beef with potatoes and veg. They gave me a knife but it wasn't needed the beef fell apart on the fork and melted in my mouth. The veg was good too.

For desert we had the creme brule which was okay, the peach in it was okay but the creme a little too runny and the brule a little too burnt. She also had the fudgsicle which was pretty good but probably not worth 4.25.

The atmosphere was good very open but still sectioned off well. We liked that the kitchen was open for everyone to see. A lady, who we assumed was the owner, came over twice and talked to us. The waiter made sure our drinks never dried out. They had an okay selection of craft beer for being in kelowna too, however we're from Victoria where there is a lot better and more choices of craft beer so we critique that a lot for where we go.

Wheb they brought the portable pos machine over they also gave us two house made lolipops, lime and fill, which was the best lolipop I've ever had.

Overall we liked our experience and when we move out here in a few months we'll definitely be coming back.

This place is awesome! Their motto is fresh, local and comfortable. They came though on that..... the meals are amazing, such great flavors and presentations!

Multiple waiters come out at once so that everyone at the table is presented with their dish at  the same time....same thing happens when they take away your finished plates

The mains are very very reasonably riced they are only between 16-28 dollars.  YUM YUM YUM

I went last night but might have to go again tonight :)

We had a reservation for 8 to celebrate my girlfriends birthday, and every person in our party had a fantastic time.

The food here really is amazing - I had gnocchi and steak which were delicious. Other dishes at our table included duck, lamb, and halibut - all were presented very nicely and came with tons of fresh vegetables.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere is great. Raudz's is a fantastic restaurant, and we will definitely be back again soon.

Absolutely amazing dining in Kelowna. Service is slow, but helpful and friendly, and totally worth it for the quality of food.

All locally sourced, the chef takes time to pair interesting local produce, top quality meat and seafood, and an incredible selection of starters.

Worth the time. If you're in Kelowna you have to try it.

    Reservations recommended!

Came here again because I enjoyed it quite a bit the last time I was here.  Got to sit in a booth away from the kitchen this time, so it was a bit cozier :)

Started with their Poutine - even though I knew it'd be crazy filling, the server made it sound so good, I wanted to try it anyhow!

Then had the grilled tenderloin with braised short rib.  Both tasted great, but the short rib wasn't to my personal taste, though it was still a nice foil for the tenderloin.

As per usual, their RAUDZ Ceasar was fantastic.  I'd say in my top 5 of Caesars.

Favorite wine, that is going fast: 2007 Laughing Stock - Portfolio

I highly recommend buying a bottle or two before this vintage is gone.

I probably eat at Raudz about 4-5 times a year and so far have never been disappointed.  The service is consistently good and the food is consistently great.  They have some great cocktails as well.

I was disappointed and frankly, embarrassed to bring my friends here for dinner.  We wanted to go somewhere walkable from the Grand, and this is where we ended up.  The room looks nice, the servers are pleasant but the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Taste-wise, we didn't experience anything outstanding, and barely anything OK.  The mushroom risotto was watery and bland - the best thing about it was the shaved parmesan.  The wildboar pennette pasta was borderline terrible - flavourless and garnished almost exactly like the risotto - what utterly lazy cooking.   The New York steak was just OK, but I found the blue cheese chunks much too overpowering.  The only two dishes I didn't mind were the tapenade stuffed calamari and a dessert, which was a peach milkshake.

"Regional Table" is a compelling tagline for a visitors, but I definitely wouldn't come back here again unless I had a really trusted second opinion vouching for it.

One of my favorite places to go for dinner. The bartenders wear a chef jacket which is a very nice touch, the decor not too loud, service always good, and a very creative food menu. My husbands favorite is the chickpea encrusted fish and chips. Everytime we order a wine it never disappoints in taste, I do have to say the half liters are pretty expensive, but something we overlook when coming here. I really appreciate the ingredient infusions in their meals, and the home made lollipops you get to top off your meal.

Wow!  Who would have thought that in the middle of tiny resort town Kelowna you'd find one of the best chefs in British Columbia?  Certainly not I.  I was just there visiting a friend and his family and the one night we went out for dinner we went here.  The joint had a good vibe from the moment i walked in.  The place was open and for the number of people in there it wasn't noisy.  They don't take reservations, but usually (so I am told) you can at least score a few seats at the large communal table they have at the center of the restaurant if you can't get your own table.

We started with Martinis.  The martini specials were all fruit based martinis (Rasberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, etc).  All of the berries were picked locally and the drinks were outstanding.

The servers were on top of their game and were top notch.  They knew the menu backward and forward and were very forthcoming about their own favorites and diners favorites.  All of the food, or at least 90% (according to them), was organic and was purchased locally.  On their recommendation I had the Pea Soup which turned out to be one of the best soups I have ever had.  It was light yet full of flavor.  I had as an additional appetizer the grilled calamari which was served with a bunch of vegetables.  This was also excellent.  As a main dish I had the Halibut which was incredibly fresh and covered in an amazing sauce that included some green puree'd veggie and bits of bacon (I was in heaven).  The other people at the table had the duck and the leg of lamb.  Both were also terrific.

We ended up not ordering desert, but the chef sent over chocolate vodka shooters.  I regret not getting the dessert, but had i eaten i may have burst.

One other comment is that while they had wines from all over the world on the wine list, the Canadian selection was obviously very deep.  I had never had a Canadian wine before, and we tasted several wines that evening.  I must say, I am a fan.  Canadian got hockey and now they have some pretty good reasonably priced wine.

Oh, and best of all, the bill was under $40 a head (all in).

Great food, great service, and great prices.  I'm one of those people who hates paying more than what I'm getting; may that be a $1-$300 meal, if I pay a cent more it annoys the hell out of me.  I find that the prices were perfect for what you're getting and I would have paid more.  Little details that my husband wouldn't notice such as serving everyone at the same time, taking dishes away right, hot plates being served, great platting, good timing between courses, having four different components to a dessert, etc. Was all done perfectly and with ease. No one running around like having their heads cut off. I loved the open kitchen and watching the ease of how they operate. The food was flavorful with great proportions. The gnocchi was one of the best I've ever had.  My fillet  mignon (one of the specials) had the perfect sear, being one of the best steaks I've ever had. Everything that everyone had was great.  My husband tried to stump the bartender, but he made perfect cocktails with fresh juice, which to me makes a huge difference.
This place is overall great and I can't wait to come back for another visit.

this place was a gem for us over the weekend.  We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with the two bartenders (Abraham and ?).  The drinks were great and the food was amazing.  The boys at the bar would bring us some samples when we were on the fence about a few drinks, was really helpful. We started with some Calamari and i had the chick pea battered fish and chips and Leah had the vegetable pasta.  we were very impressed at both and walked away smiling at the experience.  Great Spot!

if you go to the okanagan you must go here.

one of the best meals i've ever had and easily the best for the price.  fresh, flavorful ingredients in inventive food and cocktail offerings.

the chicken confit poutine was modestly draped in rich, salty gravy and a handul of curds, but the flavor and texture were incredible.  the arctic char, breaded in oats, was perfectly prepared - moist, flavorful and flaky, finished with maple butter and served atop potatoes and heirloom carrots and broccoli.

we also had gnocchi, a cheeseburger and the simple pasta.  i had some of each and all deserve superlative-laden description.

our bartenders were excellent, putting on a show banging out meticulous multi-step cocktails with ornate garnishing for the restaurant while attending to us very personally.  the detail-oriented service included multiple silverware replacements and plate retrieval from our side of the bar.

i can't give enough credit to the kitchen for an incredible dinner and to our two bartenders for outstanding service.

I just had one of the best meals I've ever eaten in Kelowna.  I did go on a weeknight for a late dinner, so the restaurant wasn't busy and the attentive and friendly service was A+; therefore, I can't really say what the service on a weekend would be like.

We started off with martinis, and I'd have to say the martini list was imaginative and really tasty.  I had a Cold Snap, which I'd recommend if you like gingerale or ginger beer (it contains both!).  The candied lime wheel is a nice touch!  For starters, the Crab Cappucino was a really interesting take on crab bisque, served in a cappucino cup topped with froth and seaweed and caviar "sprinkles".  For a main course, I had the "pork and beans", which is nothing like what you're thinking it is.  Envision melt-in-your-mouth roasted pork belly, smooth-as-silk mash and apple slaw, accompanied by a shredded pork, bean and cabbage cassoulet.  So so good!  My dining partner had the special of the day, which was a salmon on risotto, and to be honest, I was too enraptured by what I was eating to pay attention to hers.  But I did vaguely hear her praising her meal and the plate was almost licked clean before I was even halfway through mine.  Dessert was 3 chocolates made in-house, which were heavenly and a cheesecake with quince preserve, which came in a glass jar.  The cheesecake was light, almost like a thick mousse in texture and not at all dense and rich like I'd expected it to be.  I thought that was the perfect was to end the meal.  And with our cheque came house-made lollipops!

10 thumbs up for presentation and flavour for RauDZ!  I plan to come back here every time I visit Kelowna!

Our party of four just ate at Raudz. Everything about the place is first class. My wife and I consider ourselves to be foodies and it's hard to understand who would give them a negative review. The wait staff was very good. The part-owner stopped by the table and inquired how things were going. Appetizers were great, as were the drinks. The menu offers something for everyone. My entree was excellent, as was everyone elses. A young woman patron we met at the door said "you have to try" her favorite appetizer as it will blow you away. We did and she was right!  Obviously the locals enjoy the place too, as we heard from many people the average wait time to get a table. Funny, but nobody was leaving. We'll be traveling back to Kelowna at some point, and there is no way we would ever miss going back to Raudz. Great place!

In the top three meals I've ever had.  Interesting, locally focused menu with tons of unique flavors packed into numerous very healthy choices.  Outstanding service, the folks here are clearly proud of what they do, with very good reason.

Have to recommend the Salmon "blt", which is actually grilled salmon and pancetta on a lovely bread.  All of the salads are amazing.  They have an open concept kitchen so you can see the magic.

Particularly impressing are the baked "fried" items.  Fried with fennel and fish and chips that will have you in disbelief they came from an oven rather than a fryer.

Great beer and wine choices and clearly an alchemist behind the bar.

Wish it were in my home town!

I have eaten at Raudz on 3 seperate occasions and everytime it has been spectacular! This most recent visit was for a friends birthday and their were 22 of us for the reservation. We were seated in the center of the restaurant at a beautiful social table that fit us nearly perfectly. The place was packed at 6 pm and there was a wait at the door for the next 3 hours of our experience.

I always like to see the variety of local craft beers on tap and the wine list is priced very competitvely relative to the competition. After we all finally got set and everyone arrived we ordered our appy's which took a touch longer than ideal but considering the group size and overall pace of the restaurant it is very acceptable. We had a foccacia pizza which was incredible and I managed to scoop up a couple of my friends chorizo mussels which were outstanding and portioned handsomely.

Main course I had the Rockfish and Chips (baked) and it was quite good and some of my co-diners couldn't help but brag about their choices of Beef Tenderloin, Steak, Lamb, and even the simple house green salad. The overall experience was a success and I look forward to going back again. The servers are very professional and nearly perfect and with the exception of the drink service being a little too reactive I had a great time.

    Thanks Raudz! 4.5/5
