SO I was visiting from Toronto and decided to go for some Pakistani food. I called up these guys since they are halal. They have another Rasoi kitchen located on 596 Ellice Avenue, which is take out but these guys had sit down seating. I would like to give my opinion before my explanation, which is ... DO NOT I repeat DON NOT EVER GO HERE! PLEASSSSEEEEE
So first red flag, we walk in and for a saturday night it was empty! ok 2 randomly weird guys were sitting but i mean the rest of the 10 tables were empty. I was like omg should I leave, but we stayed out of courtesy. Second red flag, for a 'halal' place they had a full bar, hmmmmm but ok. Third red flag, no body really cared we had reservation and were waiting to place our order...yup I was silly for not walking out
ok lets get to the food ...
We ordered Lamb Biryani, tandoori chicken and lamb curry. I don't know who the cook is but the biryani tasted totally different! I don't know what ethnic rice they served me but it was not biryani. The lamb curry was covered with thick tomato paste..grossss!!! i know how to cook curry and yea we use tomato for the sauce but this is not how it's made, trust me! Now for the best and most disgusting plate of the night - tandoori chicken...OMG the chicken was grey from inside! it was old and had been reheated for us..why?????? on top of that it had gross spices...and this SAD AND GROSSSSS MEAL COST US $50.00!!!!!! whyyyyyyyy???
I don't want to give it ANY star in fact I want to give it MINUS 10 but yelp doesn't have that option ... yet!
