Review from Jenn B.
First things first: There were a lot of hookers around the hotel. Many of them have on a very small amount of clothing, so if you have children with you, shield their eyes.
But, onto other things. We got a great rate at this hotel through a corporate booking we have access to (about $100/night), and it was a pretty decent play to stay. The staff was nice, and we got upgraded to a suite for no extra charge. There was a really nice TV in the room, and everything was clean and looked nice. The bed was really comfy- I got the best night of sleep I've ever gotten in a hotel.
Not so great things: The hot tub was broken the whole time we were there, which was a bummer since we were really looking forward to it. And, parking is pretty expensive (but, we didn't mind since we got such a good rate on the room).
The location isn't great for people wanting really quick access to the tourist attractions, but it's not a terrible walk and there's lots to see and do on the way. -

My friend and I were arriving very early on a recent Saturday from New York and were looking to just drop our luggage off, so we could begin sightseeing and return to the hotel to check in later. Of course, it was a very pleasant surprise when the desk clerk at the Ramada allowed us to check in to our room at 6:00am (with no additional charge!). It's perks like this that make it a nice hotel to stay in.
The Ramada is located about a ten-minute walk to the College subway station and Yonge Street, so it's a good spot for tourists who want quick access to Downtown Toronto's attractions. We booked a couple of months ahead, so the advance rate of $102 (CAD) including taxes was great for a place like this. The room was very nice and equipped with all the standards (TV, desk, a couple of sofas and a coffee table), and the beds were actually very comfortable which helps. My only complaint was that the room smelled like cigarette smoke from the minute we arrived. My friend said he thought it was just the cleaning agent they used, but I couldn't be sure. The climate control system in the room had a mind of its own, so it was difficult to get it running to keep the air fresh, but we managed.
Overall, the Ramada is a very nice and very affordable option right in Downtown Toronto. -

The jacuzzi was great! The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The rooms here are amazing. They are all like little suites, bed in one room, living area in another and bathroom. The rooms also have fridge and microwaves (and two, count 'em, two TVs!). The bathrooms are nice, but lack a bit of counter space.
The best part about staying here is that just across the street is a flower conservatory that you can walk to and visit for free. -

Bed bugs. Small washrooms that can barely fit two people and no counter space. The room looks nice on the surface but I doubt they cleaned the rooms thoroughly between guests. I can hear the next room very clearly so it shows that the walls are paper thin.
The parking is $22/day which I think should be free for guests. If I visit Toronto again, I won't drop my luggage at this inn. -

Creepy! Hookers, even male ones, were always outside of the hotel. I could've seen the crabs coming off of her! The TV's weren't working and the carpet was dirty. It was OK, but not as good as the Westing Harborfront Castle.

The king suite was roomy but like others have said the carpets were dirty as heck. The bathroom shower was nasty and the sink looked the same. Haven't seen any bed bugs. Hotel staff are pretty friendly but the parking at 22.99 a night is pretty high! And to top it off they were doing construction the week we stayed and not once prior on the phone did the staff tell me that when I was making my reservation

This place is a good value for the money. It is in a iffy part of town further from the harbor and activites but still very close without paying crazy prices. They have secure undground parking for only $22 a day with in and out privledges, a bargain in Toronto the downtown hotels parking (sheraton) cost $52 a day. Many floors and pool in other building. My floor #4 was recently remodeled with a couch area in the room that was great! i agree that the bathroom is tiny and has no counter space, I guess they went for design over function. I just wish they had in room fridge as ice is all the way in the basement. Staff was very helpful.
