I've been here several times: on dates, with friends, etc.
Atmosphere is really cool. Surfer-style, Hawaiian, really chill. Love it.
They have some great food options, including a burger that has a ridiculous amount of toppings (can't remember the name, but it was delicious!). Reasonable prices, as well. Servers and staff are friendly and smiling, and the restaurant is located less than a 5 minute walk from the Quay. Highly recommend if you're in for a fun, casual meal.

This place promises fun, liquid sunshine, and lotsa laughs. But sadly, it was not to be.

I've heard good things about this place from quite a few people, albeit mostly people of the same demographics.  That is, young college crowd who *really* like to drink.  I don't think there was anyone over the age of 30 there that night.

I ordered the Asian Slaw Tuna Burger and a raspberry mojito.  My drink was exactly what I expected it to be. But the burger was so disappointing! First off, it came with this puny (we're talking less than a centimeter thick) slice of tuna that was so dry that if I tossed it into my mojito, it probably would have sucked up all the liquid. There was wasabi mayo and a huge heap of picked ginger were on top.  That was the part that turned me off the most.  The ginger made the thing disgusting and there was a ton of it. Yes, that is a very personal preference, and if the menu had mentioned it, I would have never ordered it.  The side coleslaw was quite heavily dressed, and made the edge of my burger soggy. None of that experience was really all that positive, which is too bad.  I was really looking forward to it, since I've read so much positive feedback about it.

My friend ordered the Cheeseburger Poutine, and his girl ordered one of the numbered burgers...720 or something triple digited starting with a 7.  They both seemed to really enjoy their meals, with the burger being particularly yummy and super juicy looking.  It was served medium, -- the way a burger should be! I didn't try it, but it did look promising. Shoulda gone with the less healthy burger instead! Foiled! Damn health consciousness.

The poutine was okay.  The fries were crispy and piled on top was cheese sauce, gravy, and chopped tomatoes. The only gripe I have about it was the hunks chopped up, extremely dry burger patty they used. Wouldn't it make more sense to use chunks of ground beef? Like bits of a real burger? Oh well.  My friend enjoyed it and he even ate the whole thing (it's pretty massive) so that's what matters.

The service was just not up to par. It took forever for the server to come by to take our orders and not once did she come check on us after the food had arrived. When another friend came to join us a little later, and he sat there watching us eat for a good 15 minutes with not even a glass of water (yes, we offered to share our food but he refused). When his food and drink came, he was never checked on either. Was it because we didn't order a fishbowl tiki drink? Or a beer tower? We were pretty frustrated.

The walk in cooler is in the women's washroom. That was kind of weird. There were several times that when my friend and I tried to use the washroom and had to wait until one of the cooks was done rummaging through there. That was kind of annoying, since the place got pretty busy as the night went on, and the rummaging became more frequent.

I'm sad to say that I probably won't be back. With the abundance of restaurants/pubs around, I can easily find some place with a yummy tuna burger served by someone more attentive, and not have to wait forever to use the facilities.

Came here for brunch after reading so many good reviews. I have to say it was just alright. It's a relatively small space with mediocre service. The food came out at lightening speed (seriously like 3 minutes) and very soon I realized this was because everything was pre-cooked and pre-made, even the eggs. The yolks in my benny didn't run at all, the fruit looked old and overall the temperature of everything on my plate was borderline cold. Granted the hash browns were yummy, but as long as you can make any potatoes crispy, I will like them. $13 for a plate of lukewarm, precooked food? Come On!

Not sure what the big hype is about.. maybe things are different here at dinnertime, though I'm in no rush to find out.

"Could you be loovvvved? ... and beeeee loved." With fun tiki-style decor, Bob Marley and Jamaican backbeats setting a laidback 'reggae-tone', Raglans offers varieties of burgers, soft tacos, poutine and hefty big-bowled mixed drinks - a fun experience and good place to chill with friends along Lower Lonsdale on the North Shore. We had:

    - Tandoori Prawns ($9 / 8 pieces) - Tasty, good.
    - Breaded Coconut Prawns ($9) - Sweet, good.
    - Passionate Kiss with crushed strawberries, Jamaican rum. Yummy, but couldn`t taste much alcohol.
    - Tandoori Prawn Salad ($15) - My g/f said it was okay.
    - A big burrito and a thin-crust pizza

The appys are small and mains, well-portioned with 'good' taste; it`s more about the atmosphere. It's one of the few places with a cool concept in North Van.

I enjoyed Raglans! With a surfer/reggae thing going on, It's one of the few places in North Van with a fun and/or themed decor.

I had a Burrito which was NOT skimping on the filling (hurrah!) and my mister had the biggest, most badass poutine I've seen on the North shore. And that man loves poutine!

Food was a bit on the pricey side for a laid-back restaurant like it is.

Recommend it if you're in the area!

Delicious burgers! I'm a pescatarian, but still they have fabulous Tuna burgers. Large and flavourful.

They are a bit more expensive than the average burger joint, but well worth it.  I've been here a fair amount with several buddies, and everyone is always amazed at the size of the burgers.

The service is usually quiet good too. They are not overly friendly, but kind. Only a few times have I had either slow or rude service, but those were probably off days. They have other food than just burgers, like the soft tacos which were very good. The drinks here are amazing, if you like mix drinks, and you can get a very large cup of any of them. I saw a few customers order big Blue Hawaiians.

Overall, great place, particularly people who want to experience some of the best burgers in Vancouver! Often the place might be full and you need to wait or come back later.

Cool place to grab a burger or brunch on wknds. They definitely have THE BEST yam fries (yam chips that is)...soooo tasty!
Also you can order a huge cocktail and share it with someone or drink it up on your own.
When you are inside you feel like you are on the beach somewhere in Australia ready to surf.
    Definitely would recommend it!

Fun, funky decor... a surfer video on a big screen was welcome as the service was extremely slow, and the server seemed to not really give a damn.

Overall, the food was quite good and I don't think I've ever enjoyed nachos more. OMFG there was so much cheese and toppings i had a hard time finding the chips! The Jamaican styled wings were unusual and delicious. We also shared the pulled pork sandwich, which we felt was so-so.

On the pricey side considering the decor and level of service. I'll likely go back and try again, maybe a burger next time.

Good service... But that's the only positive thing I can say about Raglans.  Menu offers very few choices for young kids.  We tried two different kinds of quesedillas -both were tasteless and lacking  filling. Salads were basically lettuce out of a bag.  My Grandson's cheeseburger was equally tasteless - he ate less than half and we both filled up on his fries.  All this for $60.00! We were looking for something other than McD's for dinner, but wish we had gone there instead.  At least we know what to expect there- the kids would have been happy and I would have to pay less than $20.00 to have the greasy, queasy feeling in my stomach that's there right now.

Not bad - tiki-themed joint near Lonsdale Quay with a laid-back surfer vibe - tons of tiki drinks on offer from reasonable to a $20+ huge fishbowl sized fruity drink along with some massive burgers and Tex-Mex food.

They had a 100 oz. beer tower on offer for $34 that's similar to the Tower of Power you get at a Fogg N' Suds.  I don't know if it's actually 100 oz, but we were about to squeeze about 7 sleeves out of it.  Jugs were around $25 - so it was a no-brainer for us.

I usually have a better memory about how much stuff costs, but I think that was promptly washed away by the 2nd beer tower we had.  The food and drinks were pretty pricey, but some of the dishes that were scooted past us looked amazing as we were in a beer n' nachos mode that night.

Normally, this joint would probably earn a measly two-stars from me - but I think the best part about this place is the ambiance.  Sufficiently busy without being packed, the server was prompt and attentive and the music selection was probably the most eclectic I've heard in a restaurant.  Never thought I would hear NWA and White Snake together on the same playlist.  As the songs change, look on the other people's faces for the odd mix of confusion and familiarity - it was pretty cool.

Anyways, a really fun vibe that encourages irresponsible drinking - a bit of a splurge for burgers and Tex-Mex, but would check out the food again the next time I'm in the area.

Headed here with a couple (of friends) last Saturday and what a quirky, fun surprise! I'm sure this little place does a lot of business in light of their proximity to Burgoo and Anatoli's. We had indeed been intending to head to one of those places but what with the wait times and pricer options we decided to head the way of the burger shack instead.

We were greeted by our friendly server immediately upon entering and offered a spot at the bar. Within minutes a booth had come available and we were shuttled over. My blackberry mojito was deliciousness personified, I have to say!

I ordered the burger with guac, mushrooms and sharp cheddar along with fries. So delicious my tummy is grumbling at the memory! Too big to finish in fact. My dinner companions munched on the massive helping of nachos they ordered as well as quasadilla's. The quas' only received so-so ratings but the nachos seemed to compensate.

Loved the funky decor as well. Bright blue walls add a sort of tiki feel and random bikes placed in the rafters make for lots of visual appeal.

I'll definitely head back to Raglans, that's a for sure!

Raglan's is a spot that reminded me a lot of some of my favourite places in California. It's a tiki joint where ordering fruity drinks is sort of expected; they have tropical bevvies in sizes from normal to fishbowl. Which of course I liked! They reminded us of koala springs in flavour...

We had the cajun chicken sandwich and the bacon poutine. The sandwich was hefty and tasty, but the poutine was the better choice. Lots of food in both cases.

It IS small, but it's friendly and fun. I love the theme and the laid back vibe.

Oh, and their hot sauce is pretty good too.

I don't know what these reviewers are on.

It wasn't the absolute worst food, but it wasn't that good and wasn't worth the price. Nacho's were simply a large mass of paste and beans...

The pizza wasn't what I would expect. Not a fan of thin crust and this was basically a cracker under some more paste and big chunks of meat.

This is a comfort food kind of place. Huge heavy meals. That don't make me feel comfortable.

Raglan's has been my Sunday morning breakfast haunt for the past month or so. It's a great place to have a stiff morning cocktail and work through the shame of the night that preceded it.

Went to Raglans last night for some late night nibbles after the hockey game. What an adorable place. The waitress was very sweet and fast, and the food...mmm. We had the falafel bites with tzatziki, garden pesto quesadilla, and the roasted garlic and goat cheese. Amazingly delish and all made by the lone chef in the kitchen. It's a small place but most the tables were full. The wait time between ordering and eating was just right.
Go check this place out if you find yourself in lower lonsdale and looking for quality eats.

After living in North Vancouver for a number of years now I finally made my way to Raglans. Overall, I found the restaurant to be a little on the cramped side. The food was good, although I only ordered something very simple, cheese casadias, but nothing exceptional.

While the restaurant was busy the waitress at the was on the very slow side.

I love, loooove Raglan's. We generally go there for Saturday brunch, 1) because everything I've tried is really good and 2) they serve free coffee on Saturdays (go for the press of cinnamon). Standouts on the menu are their burgers, the pulled pork hash and their ridiculously sized drinks if you're in for some late night fun.

The servers are always friendly and awesome and I love the atmosphere. The music is always good and if there aren't old cartoons playing on the various TV's there's probably some sort of surf or mountain bike movie. You can't go wrong!

Fantastic food, great location, funky decor - the service can be a little slow especially during peak times, but if you're not in a hurry and are looking for a hearty meal, this is a great choice. Saturday brunch featured free French Press coffee, too! The burger I had was one of the best I've experienced in Vancouver, so even if you're not feeling like experimenting with one of their other dishes, you can't go wrong. I'll definitely be back!

I read the reviews and decided to check out Raglans... it was nothing like the people said.  The waitress was slow and didn't bother to check on us after we got our food.  Had she checked we would have got at least two more rounds of booze.  I got the cajun chicken wrap which was good but not amazing.  I found two hard chunks of gristle inside, the black beans muted some of the spice and it was wrapped poorly so I had to eat it with a knife and fork.  I was very curious about the deep fried banana so we each ordered one and let me save you ... go for the brownie.  The banana is obviously deep fried in the meat fryer and it tasted like whatever they fried before the banana went in.  I will go back and give it a second chance but I am hoping I get the other waitress who was all over the place and refreshing her customers drinks with gusto.

I go here for breakfast all of the time.  I like sitting on the patio when it's nice out.  Too bad there are only two tables on the patio.  We often do a drive by to see if they are taken and they usually are!  Not really worth it to sit inside... Plus parking is a hassle.  Their drinks are amazing too with huge chunks of fresh fruit in them!  Do not order yam fries if you are expecting yam fries - they are more like chips.
