Review from Rachelle B.

Ragazzi Bistro was formerly known as Pizza Boys but rebranded to (in my advice) sound a bit classier. My family and I still call them Pizza Boys, mostly in honor of the brothers who work the ktichen. We have been going to Pizza Boys for quite some time. At one point we would almost go there every single week - so much so that they would reserve us a table every night and we grew to know the owners very well. They definitely cater to their clientele.
The pizzas are delicious, but so are the pastas and the desserts! The restaurant has expanded a few years ago, gaining an entire room. Sometimes the wait for the pizzas can be a bit lengthy (an hour or so) but it is definitely well-worth the wait! Order a Soprano Bread and a bottle of wine and you're good to go. Our favorite is the Godfather pizza. We have been getting two Large pizzas instead of the XLs since we found that the centre of the XL pizzas were always a bit soggy and floppy. The Pisano salads are definitely a great appetizer as well.
The decor of the place has been much improved although it still has some rather quirky elements (strange lighting fixtures, a weird grotto wall and some rather funny wall ornaments). The environment is always brimming with laughter and clinking cutlery.
After your tiramisu dessert and capuccino make sure to thank the boys at the back! -

My favourite pizza in Edmonton; and it's in my neighbourhood! If you like Italian-style, thin crust pizza make sure you stop in some time.
I always get take away because I'm not a fan of the service I've received when dining in. The guys in the kitchen are always friendly and have a great sense of humour. -

I was told about this place a few months back when I first moved into the area. I only wish I had known about this place earlier! Their pizza is by far one of the best pizza's I've ever had. The crust is perfect and the selection of toppings is totally authentic. I love the atmosphere as I feel I am always welcome by the friendly staff even if I bring my 3 year old. It's a good family restaurant. It seems they remember everybody that goes there! Their tiramisu kills me every time - it's so good. My cousin orders 4 of those at a time when he goes.

Don't be fooled by the outside of this place, it is fantastic and the food is amazing!
I have never had better Tiramisu either. WOW!
I hope it's still there, I haven't been in a long time. -

Great Italian food and wood-fired pizza. I like it in part because it's an independently and family-owned restaurant, and also because it's relatively close to my home. On my second and most recent visit, I was surprised by how much busier it was than the first time I was there. I was actually surprised to have been asked for a reservation, which is obviously good news for them and a bit of a faux pas on my part for not having made any. However, the hostess (who had a great smile) accommodated us.
The two of us were seated in a booth and shortly afterwards a large group of people (a dozen or more) was seated next to us. They probably could have used our booth, frankly, which made me appreciate the restaurant making room for us all the more. My friend had the gnochi and I had pizza again: the Bronx. For a 12" pizza, it was about $19 which is a bit more than you'd pay in most city pizza joints ... but all the ingredients are fresh and delicious so no regrets. Well worth the money and your time. -

It's an offer you can't refuse. This is the original thin-crust pizza place in Edmonton and still one of the best. I've had many a pizza at Ragazzi and have yet to try some of their flavours. 'New York Spice,' 'The Sicilian' and 'The Godfather' must not be missed. Thin, tender crust, tangy sauce, and the perfect ratio of toppings to crust. Part of me wishes they were still called 'Pizza Boys.' It has a cavalier coolness to it. 'Ragazzi' means 'boys' in Italian, just so you know.

Every time I return to Ragazzi (or Pizza Boys) as they used to be called, the place is busier and busier. I'm happy for them, but I do show up hungry, so waiting is tough! But usually I'm leaving happily full, and at times even uncomfortably so; hence it's no big deal. But there was no happily full departure this time; there was just departure. I left due a long wait, and the bad energy associated with a bunch of people that have already been hungry and waiting too long.
I eavesdropped to find out it was due to a great newspaper review. So I thought I would add to their problems by writing another great review! Well, not quite! When I did check to see if there was one here already, and I was shocked to find that there wasn't.
Because people that love thin crust pizza should really know about this place. I have tried many of the choices (with the traditional Margherita topping the list), and have never been disappointed with the quality. The Volare hand-tossed crust is definitely something these boys have mastered. And I love the fact that they have Italian beer to go with the flying pizza. So, go! But not quite yet... Give them some time to hire extra kitchen help and wait staff. Although, they may have to import them from Italy. These pizza boys are actual ragazzi (which means guys in Italian). They yell in Italian at each other and a waitress (that I can only imagine is part of their family), and I can bet their Mamma helped them decorate (it's the light fixtures that give it away). Authentic and thin crust tasty... No wonder there are crowds. -

This is still the #1 place in town for hand-tossed, made-to-order, real pizza. If you likely a little spicy try the Godfather with boccincini.

We always have a good time here. A true, thin crust that is almost as good as their papa "Tony's". Excellent wine choice. Good Misto salad. The linguini was al dente. It's hit or miss if you get offered any dinner rolls. They probably took one look at us and made the decision for us. We were fondly acknowledged by the kitchen staff, which includes the "Ragazzi's" uncle. A very sweet place to enjoy a Friday night. I recommend the "Deluxe" pizza.

Have the pizza. Don't even look at anything else. Their pastas aren't great - I mistakenly ordered pasta on both occasions I ate in - I much prefer to take out wheels of pizza and they're always extraordinary.

The pizza is great. We have been there over half a dozen times this year, and will keep coming back. We usually go there weekday nights. It is not busy, and the staff is quick and courteous. The quality of the ingredients is just outstanding.
