My two friends and I went to St. F.X.U. together and haven't gotten together since 1987 at one of their weddings.

This weekend we met in Halifax (Halifax was central for us as we live in Toronto, Moncton and Sydney) for the weekend and stayed at the Radisson.  What an awesome hotel!

We had two suites ... each was only $100 a night with two queen beds (the beds have a control so you can configure your bed to your "sleep number".

My room overlooked Halifax Harbour.  The weather was sunny all weekend so it was great to look out the window and see the sun shining off the Harbour.

The staff at the front desk and valet parking guy were very friendly.

WIFI is included in the price of your room.  There is a mini fridge and microwave.  You can park for free all weekend on the streets in downtown Halifax if you want.  We chose to use the hotel's valet parking ... in and out privileges for $20 a day.

The hotel downtown is walking distance to everything ... Scotia Square mall, pubs, restaurants, the waterfront, etc.  We had the car parked on Friday and will pick it up when we leave.

I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Halifax!

Stayed at the Radisson for New Year's eve.  The hotel is nice for the most part, however the room wasn't so much.  The lamps were in that midway point between dodgy and just fail, there was scrapes out of the drywall from chairs, and the fan in the boardroom didn't work.

On the positive side though, HUGE suite for a good price.  Bedroom was big, living room was big and did I mention it had a BOARDROOM?

If you're looking for a rockstar hotel, this is the one.  If you're looking for something a bit fancier, might want to give it a pass.

For a recent girls night out we booked two suites at the Radisson. First off, I have to say the staff here are very friendly. Even when we needed a little reminder to keep down the noise the security guard was nice about it!
I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the large suites. The layout includes a spacious washroom and bedroom separate from a generous seating area. In fact, the seating area was large enough to accommodate us and our guests, 15 in total. The bedrooms had two great queen sized sleep number beds and the rooms themselves were very clean. My only complaint is that I found one room to be warm, but we did have 15 people in there.
Our suites had great views of the downtown area. One of the great things about the location of this hotel is that you are within walking distances to bars, shopping and restaurants. What more could a girl want?
I would definitely stay here again.

Rat-ta-tat-tat-- here are some comfy accommodations to parallel with downtown adventures. Located smack in the middle of Hollis Street, the Radisson seems to be a popular stay for the urbanites at heart.

Clubs, restos and retail abound-- the assured location offers draw. For folks who love the city buzz and on-the-go mentality, this would be an ideal place to arrange accommodations. However, those who enjoy their travel with a quiet wallow in solitude may want to check into another downtown spot.

Suites give a little more room to breathe than you're average hotel room-- they vary in size, and the handful I've ventured have consisted of an off-suite, large bar, a couch and two double beds in the main room. Whew! The interiors are of the generic hotelier sort, but clean and crisp, none the less.

I wouldn't mind bunking up in the Radisson if I were in town for travel. Those visiting for more than a few days can enjoy the extra space and solid customer service. This place is standard hotel-chain offerings with a few extra perks.

I love the radisson downtown Halifax, the room is nice and big with seperate area for a living space ( tv, couch and even a small table to eat plus a stocked mini bar!) everything you need is already in your hotel room, from drinks to snacks!  They have the sleep number beds in most of their rooms which are comfy and fun to play with, (up and down) little things amuse me. Radisson is diffently the place to stay in Halifax!

Holy massive room, Batman!  They aren't kidding when they say "suite," the room we stayed at consisted of a small kitcheny area, living/sitting room, bedroom, large double-sinked bathroom, and even a wee breakfast nook.  We could have fit Canada's army in here.  (I kid because I love!)  It was definitely a good experience and we really had no problems at all.  The only qualm I have is that their internet was wired, which is annoying, so I sat in the lobby for the wireless when I had to Google "bluenoser" and put my curiousity at ease.  The staff were very pleasant as well.  Good location if you want to be in the middle of Halifax - it's on the hill between the Citadel and the waterfront.
