I was visiting Philadelphia for 4 days to see my brother graduate from Temple University. My parents were staying in a super-cute boutique hotel in an amazing location right off Rittenhouse Square, but unfortunately, the rates there were a little out of our budget ($225+/night). I promptly jumped on my trusty 'puter and used my favorite online tools (kayak, priceline, yelp) to find something more affordable in the area.

As you probably know, there are many hotels in the Rittenhouse area. We had previously stayed at the Crowne Plaza, which is a few blocks away, but still close, and very affordable. However, we kind of wanted something a little nicer this time, so I continued my search.

It didn't take long to stumble on the Radisson. I saw that it was in the PERFECT location (1.5 blocks from my parents, across the street from Black Sheep, 1 block off the Square, etc) and that I could get it for $90 a night (yes, $90!), so we went ahead and booked. I was expecting a pretty generic experience, but hey, for $90 and 1 block from Rittenhouse, that would have been fine. Instead, we were treated to a beautiful lobby, free wifi, friendly service, and a comfortable room (honestly, I didn't even use the sleep number bed, so I can't comment on that). The rooms are not luxurious, but they are a step above the Crowne Plaza and many other Radissons I've stayed in.
Bonus: Tavern 17 in the lobby has a nice hip atmosphere, decent food, and a good regional beer selection.

    Bottom line: 3-star price for a 4-star hotel in a 5-star location.

    The pros:
    Great location
    Lovely staff
    Fast internet speed

    The cons:
A noisy air conditioning system (?) located right outside our windows that churned allll day and night
The bed was not all that comfortable
The sink must've been designed for a very tall person because it came up almost to my chest area. Who designed this?!

Staying here 2 nights. Mostly because of the location, price, plus photos of the lobby made the hotel look super nice from online. One teensy yellow-black bug spotted on our bed but at least guest services was pretty nice about getting us a mini fridge when our room didn't cone with one. The gym is pretty decent as well. No sleep number bed in our room. Will update this again when we leave.

My wife and I planned a nite out on the town, last weekend. We decided to use some of our airline miles to book a room @ the Warwick. The whole process(to my surprise) was painless &pleasant. When we arrived, we were delighted @ the spaciousness of the room! The staff was very accommodating, when we requested a late check-out. The breakfast from room service was delicious!! There was an incident that occurred, but after talking to the second manager, it was handled in professional manner .The reason i am still giving "5" stars is because of the way the manager (Terri L.) handled the situation with the utmost professionalism! She is a true representation of customer service & the Radisson group of hotels is privileged to have her as an employee! Also i cannot say enough about the onsite restaurant,TAVERN 17. The manager (Desiree P.) was a gracious host & the food was incredible! Our server was very helpful & polite. I recommend the "17th street burger" .  As far as breakfast, the "french toast foster" it was superb!
We plan on returning in the near future. I hope this review was helpful.

The Warwick (Radisson) Hotel = TOTALLY and absolutely fine!

That's what I kept thinking when I was there. Oh, wow...this is totally fine. Totally fine with this coffee maker in room. Totally fine with this desk setup. Totally fine with the surprisingly spacious digs. Totally fine with the pretty nice service. Totally fine with the bath products. Totally fine with the location, ok lied...location is ABSOLUTELY awesome in Rittenhouse Square, walking distance to basically anything you'd want and very easy to catch a cab.

Booked on Priceline for $195 a night, which seems pretty steep for this type of hotel, but others in the area were going for $350+, a bit out of my travel budget. A lot out of my travel budget! Probably some large event or convention in town, or perhaps people really wanted to see if they could fry eggs on Philly sidewalks and streets. Yes, heat wave up in here!

The good news for me and my traveling companion is that the AC was cranked so intensely, we were freezing in our rooms. And it was GLORIOUS! I just couldn't even bring myself to turn it "up." After long days of Amtrak, Megabus, meetings, parties...this was a cool sanctuary to pass out in. For sure.

I had a very pleasant one-night stay at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Very clean, yet humble hotel with a surprisingly beautiful lobby, standard amenities and a great location. Check for deals, as I believe this week was pretty overpriced due to extenuating circumstances, but was still the best deal in town.

Plus, real cream for coffee in the morning!? AND free wi-fi! Ya really know how to treat a girl right.

I usually don't stay at Radissons, so I had no real idea what to expect. But, I absolutely agree with Colleen C.  And based on this stay, I'll definitely consider Radissons in the future, and this one in particular.

Free wifi? Yes!  Free bottled water? Yes! Free coffee (with cream, none of the powdered crap?)? Yes! HBO? Yes! Decent TV channels? Yes.*

I'm not totally convinced by the Sleep Number bed. A sign that I probably, truly do need to get out more these days: trying to find my Sleep Number was entertainment in itself. I still don't know what it is. 70? 35? 95?

The staff was great: extremely helpful. There were no housekeeping snafus, the front desk went above and beyond, and everyone was helpful.

I didn't eat breakfast in the hotel (Little Pete's, across the street, is a good, cheap diner option), but I like that the attached restaurant--Tavern 17-- serves brunch until 3 pm on the weekends and holidays. Too many hotels stop serving breakfast too early on weekends. I like that I could have checked out of the room, had brunch, and then been on my merry way.

    ---
    * I know some people say, who cares about the TV, I'm traveling, not there to watch TV, blah blah. Well, sometimes, I'm in a hotel because of work or whatever, and I actually do just want to veg in bed and watch TV. (I  don't have a TV at home, so I enjoy that small pleasure in hotels).  Even during a hurricane, the channels didn't go out. Anyway, by decent I mean cable basics: TBS, TNT, USA, AMC. I'm relatively easy to please, just hook me up with Law & Order reruns, and I'll be happy.

We've stayed here several times and have had a great experience each time! The location is phenomenol, with the back of the hotel facing Rittenhouse Square.
Fun fact- this hotel is also a registered landmark!

    *secret tip*
when you stay here, always request an 09' room. ( what I mean by that is lets say fourth floor- 409, fifth floor -509 etc.) Each floor has one and they are always a little larger then the rest of the rooms on the floor. It just has to do with the original layout and design of the building and as a result, the 09' rooms have more square footage yet cost the same! We found out from an employee there and always request 09's now. They are  noticably bigger!

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days during the Rock & Roll 1/2 Marathon.

The location is very very good, along with most of the other hotels in the area.  The reception staff were GREAT, and that was the only great thing.  I was checked into room 424, which is facing a bustling street.

The walls are super thin and you could hear everything in the halls and rooms around you, along with all the street and pedestrian noise (which is outrageous) during the weekend. I was woken up several times from 2-4 am with people screaming on the streets.

The room itself needs serious upgrades and repairs!  The ac unit is very loud, the tv kept making loud static noises, the bathtub coating was peeling drastically, along with the paint on the bathroom walls and door. The carpet appeared dirty, which makes me glad I brought my flip flops!

My rate included the breakfast buffet at Tavern 17, which was not good. So much so, I decided to eat elsewhere and pay the money.

I would not recommend staying here and would recommend staying at one of the other many hotels around here.

After a recent Saturday night stay at the Radisson Warwick in Philadelphia, I can honestly say nothing but great things about this hotel.

I am usually traveling for business, so my budget was a little tighter since the company AmEx wasn't picking up this tab.  Although less expensive, this hotel had all the friendly service and warm feel that I come to expect from most 4-star hotels.

Since I wasn't traveling alone, I had emailed Andy after reading the reviews here on Yelp to see if it was possible to request double beds since I wasn't allowed that option upon booking with Priceline.  Andy responded and directed me to the correct department in a very helpful and timely fashion, and the reservations department had delightfully handled my request.

As I walked in the hotel to check in, there were two front desk receptionists each with a line of 3 hotel guests waiting to be checked in.  Both receptionists moved the line quickly, but without that rushed feeling.

The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable.  I don't know if I got lucky and was put on a floor with all deaf mute people, but I couldn't hear a single noise throughout the night like some other people on here have complained about.

All in all, I look forward to staying at this hotel again next time I'm in the Philadelphia area.

I would not have stayed here, but it was company-booked. So, I went with the plan and stayed in what turned out to be an excellent location. If location alone made a hotel, this would be a 5 star property.

Unfortunately, the food isn't good, (this is an understatement), the bar is filthy and slow, and the rooms are ancient. But the wifi worked, so based upon location/wifi and a staff who tries hard, I will give this hotel more than 1 star.

If you have a choice, it would damage my profession credibility to recommend to someone that they stay here. Eventually, the property will be remodeled in which case, it may be worthwhile. If you like the area, I saw a Westin, Kimpton and Sofitel within a block or 2.

After a quick taxi ride here from the 30th Street Station, I checked in quickly and smoothly. The lobby must have been renovated recently. It has the podium stand style checkin counters instead of one solid desk. They have elegant containers of hand sanitizer and trays of apples at the check-in podiums. Nice touch.

The room was nice as well.  My room had a king size "Sleep Number Bed". My sleep number is 30. I was pretty cold in the room though. Even though I turned up the in room thermostat. Brrrr! I was cold. But I doubled up the comforter and piled it all on my side of the bed and I made out ok.

My meeting was in this same hotel so I had the opportunity to experience the Grand Ballroom as well. Nice. Lofty ceilings. Great A/V service. Plenty of outlets for laptops. We could have used an additional microphone or two or five but whatever.

I tried Tavern 17 (the lobby bar/restaurant), the Coffee Shop ~~~AND~~~  the fitness center. Separate reviews on each by the way.  The lobby serves hot apple cider all afternoon. Its a good thing, too. Because it was cold out there.

I enjoyed each day and night of my stay at the Radisson Warwick Plaza Hotel. I'm a fan.

I really thought this was a great choice for my first visit to Philadelphia.  The location is unbeatable, and the price is better than the nearby Sofitel or Kimpton.  I think Vicki L.'s review is spot on, it isn't the most amazing hotel experience, but it is affordable, clean, and the historic look of the building is very cool.  The staff is helpful and friendly, and gave us lots of good info.
Rittenhouse Square is really the best place to hang out,  we walked everywhere from this hotel, including to the Wholefoods which is 11 blocks away, maybe more.  I would stay here again.

My main complaint is that I have no f*ing idea how to work a sleep number bed.  No clue.  And it made for an uncomfortable sleeping experience.  Also, the outlets by the desk did not work and so therefore one of the two lamps didn't work.  So my room was quite dark.  Sure I could have complained and had them fix it (or more likely move me to a different room) but it wasn't worth the hassle.

When I booked the hotel the website told me I got a complementary breakfast but when I checked in I found that that wasn't precisely true.  You get up to a $20 meal credit that can be used at any point throughout the day.  Even better!  I will talk about the food in my review of Tavern 17 though.

The gym is great.  Really big, everything has an individual tv attached, there is a water cooler, you can control the room temp, etc.  There is even a huge area with weights.  I have never experienced such a large gym in a hotel before.

I also liked how they restocked the soap supply every day and added some random treat to the selection.  One day some sort of shoe shiner, another day a shower cap.  Thanks folks!

The reason I give this place 3 stars instead of 4 is really just the bed.  Perhaps I should have gone for a smaller sized bed and it wouldn't have been sleep number.  Perhaps I should have just asked them to explain how to work the bed.  Alas, I did neither of those things and it made for a mediocre experience.

Also, I work for the fed govt and have tax exempt status.  They ignored that fact until I brought it up and handed them a tax exempt form (even though it says TAX EXEMPT on my credit card, I had booked a fed govt rate room, etc).  When I brought it to their attention and gave them the form they quickly took the tax off of my bill but if I had never mentioned it, neither would they.  Can't blame them though I guess.

The location is really great if you like nice restaurants.  I was here for work and the office I was going to every day was only a few blocks away.  I also felt safe in this area walking around at night.

It's kind of hard to review a hotel unless it's really amazing or really terrible.

These are the notes that I made briefly about this particular hotel:

    - beautiful Radisson
    - every floor smelled like smoke ( I had to travel to a couple of different floors because I was there for a wedding)
    - extremely friendly service
    - free apple cider in the lobby
    - free wifi
    - the attached lounge is pretty cool, we all hung out there after the wedding and had a grand old time karaoking
    - within walking distance to Rittenhouse square with tons of places to eat, drink, and shop

    I really liked this Radisson.

I have previously stayed at Loews Philadelphia with my dog, but after the great stay my dog and I enjoyed this past weekend, Radisson Warwick Plaza will from now on be our dog-friendly hotel of choice!

Check-in was swift and efficient, and the clerk could not have been more friendly and helpful.  The room was fantastic--we got a corner room, with windows on two sides.  It was spacious and comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit on the small side (no big deal, though--Loews gave us a much bigger bathroom, but their rate was $60 more a night).  The bed was incredible.  It was, indeed, a sleep number bed, as others have written about, but I didn't find it difficult to use.  There were instructions on the desk, plus the remote was pretty intuitive--lie on the bed and try a sampling of different numbers; you'll find, through trial-and-error, the most comfortable number for you.  I found the bed incredible, and I would seriously consider purchasing a sleep number bed, the next time I need a mattress.

The bar, Tavern 17, has a nice happy hour, with very cheap prices, including tasty and cheap cheeseburger sliders.  The gym is amazing.  The location is perfect.  You're 2 minutes from Walnut St. (great shops, Alma de Cuba, Le Bec-Fin), and 1 minute from Rittenhouse Square.  Kimmel Center is a short 5 minute walk.  It's ideally situated.

We've now found our go-to place to stay in Philadelphia.  We can't wait for our next visit (unless we move there!) and Fritz is already pestering me for a return visit.

Although well-situated for sightseeing in this wonderful city, the hotel has one major drawback: Noise.

The rooms are nice, comfortable (sleep number beds) and well kept. The lobby is lovely.

But DO NOT get a room on the street. The noise is loud and all night long. There is a club and late night restaurant across the street (17th street) One night I finally had to call down to the front desk at 4:00 am to find out if there was anything they could do. Out of my 10 nights here I was kept up past 2:00 am nearly 1/2 of the nights.

You have been warned: Do not stay on the street side!

I have ALWAYS had such pleasant experiences with the Radisson. I have stayed in the one in NY by the Rockefeller and was so impressed by the rooms, staff, and service. When I saw that there was one in Philly for a good rate through http://hotels.com, I quickly jumped on it. This is one of the nicest Radisson locations that I have stayed at. Not one staff was rude to me as they usually are even after I decided to check in to a different hotel of our third night stay because the rate at the Radisson unfortunately went up :(  The bell boy even told us that the next hotel that we were going to was nice and thanked us for staying at the Radisson.

The rooms are nice and spacious with wifi and decent size plasma screens. Everything seemed clean and efficient. I really want to give a big shout to Marcus who is the manager at the Tavern restaurant downstairs and my bartender Tyler. They are one of the nicest people in Philadelphia that I encountered and made my stay pleasant and comfortable.  Not to mention, their roasted garlic and crab soup is to die for, so definitely check that out if you eat in the hotel.

One last thing, their happy hour at the Tavern should be taken advantage of by everyone as they have  cheap menu but such quality food. We must have ordered over 10 juicy sliders, a few glasses of wine, and some beers and spent a little over $20 and came out with a nice buzz. Not bad for a classy looking restaurant lounge.

My visit to Philadelphia this time was one of the worst, but the Radisson was the only thing that saved my life. Will definitely be here again if I have to.

I needed to "kidnap" my best girlfriend from college the night before her surprise baby shower so her family could get everything in order.  When her mom asked me to be in charge of this task, I could think of only one thing:  steal her away to a nice hotel downtown and remind her why Philly is so much better than Atlanta and that 5 years away is enough!  I chose the Warwick and couldn't be happier with the experience.

We stayed on the Plaza Club level, which is really the way to go!  I expected the room to be way overpriced given the Rittenhouse location, and the shared weekend between Arts Fest and the big bike race.  I found it to be reasonable and didn't mind springing for the Plaza Club.  It turns out it's worth the extra few dollars.

The hor douvres in the Plaza Club were perfect after a stroll around the square and some shopping.  The spread was complete with a variety of cheeses, crackers and spreads, fresh fruits and vegetables among other things, and an assortment of complimentary wine, beer, juices and coffee/tea.  There was also a dessert time afterward which included a delicious chocolate raspberry layer cake, cookies, and a few other small treats.  In the morning they had a great breakfast set up which included oatmeal, eggs, fresh bagels and spreads, fresh fruit, granola & other cereals, etc.  It was far superior to any continental breakfast at another hotel.  I don't know why anyone would even need to go to the hotel's restaurant for breakfast!

The room itself was beautiful and we had a great view of the pool area, the Comcast building and Liberties 1 & 2.  Wifi access was much appreciated as well as the in-theaters-now movie options for an additional fee.  It cost us $16 to rent our movie, which was far better than paying at least $20 to see it in the theater, especially because we had the added bonus of getting to watch it  on the huge flat screen TV while relaxing in our sleep number beds and eating our complimentary desserts from the Plaza Club!

The sleep number beds were interesting since neither of us had slept in one before.  Erin liked that she could set it to "cocoon" mode since her pregnancy pillow was back at home.  It was fun trying to find our own sleep numbers and definitely super comfy while sitting up in bed awake.  Neither of us were a fan in the morning though, when we realized they weren't as comfortable to sleep on!

The hotel staff was very friendly and happy to help with what few questions we had.  The only suggestion I have for anyone who stays here is that you don't forget to call down for your car if you've used their valet service.  The spaces they use are three blocks away so if you wait until you're ready to go, you'll need to wait a litle bit in front of the hotel until they can bring your car back to you.

We had a wonderful time here and I'm glad I got to spoil my mommy-to-be friend with a nice relaxing overnight stay.

My fiance and I went to the Warwick expecting not to be able to afford it at all. But I've always loved it (my great uncle, as a bellhop there, used to give me rides on the luggage carts, and my mom's cousin got married there some 30 years ago), and it was the first place I thought of when we started planning the wedding. We figured it couldn't hurt to take a tour and have a chat.

First of all, I had loved that old world feeling of the lobby, etc., so I wasn't crazy about the renovations that they did. The new blue/brown/gold decor took a little adjusting to, but it eventually grew on me, and I got over it. And they brought back the player piano, which definitely adds a nice touch while you're lounging.

More importantly, when we sat down with the events manager, we were totally upfront about our budget, and instead of just saying they were out of our range, he went through their entire package and suggested things that could be adjusted to make it work with what we had. The customer service we received from them continued to be fantastic all the way through the actual wedding, down to the wait staff and banquet manager who were incredibly attentive to us and our guests.

The rooms themselves were comfortable, clean, and quiet. We had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in our complimentary suite on the wedding night, and room service breakfast delivered the next morning.

Woooo Sleep Number Beds! Hey, we have Sleep Number Beds! Did you hear we have Sleep Number beds???

When you get past the gimmicky quality of the sleep numbers, it's a pretty damn nice hotel. It's just been redone and with the exception of the odd and slightly confusing reception desk, everything looks lovely. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Our room was so big!! We had a room with two double beds and there was plenty of floor space between the feet of the beds and the dresser. Our friends across the hall, also in a room with two doubles, had even more space! A friend in a room with a single king bed was not as fortunate.

Drinks at the hotel bar are a little pricey and it was sooooo cold in there! (Holy air conditioning, Batman!) The atmosphere, however, was great. I certainly was not unhappy to unwind after the wedding with friends in the lounge area of the bar.

The food at the event was wonderful. And again, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff.

Is this a cheap hotel? Goodness no. But it's easy to see why with spacious rooms, comfy beds and a superb staff.

I almost forgot! The automated piano had a very interesting play list that included, but was not limited to: The Cheers Theme Song (I was confused but felt right at home), The Rose, Let's Hear it For the Boy, We Could be Heroes and Wind Beneath My Wings.

i'm in philly for a wedding.  And while family stayed at much nicer Omni, i stayed here to save some dough (half the price, thanx Priceline!).  it was all i hoped for.
huge guest room with pullout couch.  simple, ok furniture (tho desk was very noticeably beaten-up).  flat-screen tv sans HD or PBS (strange).  free wi-fi, nice.
mind you, this is tourist class hotel...heck, there are residence apartments here (and I don't mean 4-Season condos)
i didn't dine here cause its good central locale offered many places to dine outside front door.

Great hotel in a great location. It's just around the corner from Rittenhouse Square and very short walking distance to neighborhood shops, restaurants, and bars. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go in Philly while here.

Staff is efficient and friendly - but not bordering on fake/obviously bullshitting/annoying.

The lobby is so ridiculously grandeur and gaudy, I love it. And like any other hotel, the lobby raised my expectations of the rest of the hotel to clearly unreasonable heights. Ha. What can I say - I take things and run with them.

My room was pretty rad. A decent foyer, bathroom the size of my dining room and kitchen at home, king size bed large enough to jump on, bedroom the size of my living room at home. Slightly worn as this hotel hosts a lot of guests, but very clean and well-maintained. The rest of the hotel was pretty good, too. Elevators don't take eons to reach you and take you where you need to go.

Overall, I'd definitely stay here again. On top of that, it's pretty inexpensive. Yeah!

Came here for a wedding, did not stay here, so this review is based on the wedding experience only!!!

There was a cocktail hour, which was in a room upstairs down the hall from where the reception would be. There were two small bars that did the job. The room was slightly crowded but that got people mingling. Many times, I heard, "well, how do you know the bride of groom?" The passed appetizers were plentiful and there was also a station in the middle of the room. That is perhaps why the room was crowded.

The reception had a large dance floor and two bars (both located at the same location though, so two lines). I had the beef dish which was excellent. The temperature was great and a good size portion. Everyone was served at once regardless of their food selection. The service was excellent!

Great Location.  Good bar and coffee shop in hotel.  Stayed in a Suite was great.  No complaints.  Will stay here again, location is perfect for shopping.

I'm torn between three and four stars.
The lobby is beautiful and the location is absolutely incredible, but we had a little shaky start. I requested an upgraded room, but once I walked into the room, it wasn't what I had paid for. So downstairs I go, where I wait 20 minutes and finally get the card to the new room, which is the size I wanted. But then I walk into the bathroom, where I'm pretty sure something died in the bathtub, the smell was terrible. Naturally I'm infuriated. Someone from the staff then upgrades us to although a smaller room than the second one, it was on the club floor, and was partially renovated as well. They threw in some free breakfast and cocktails, too, plus didn't charge for the upgrade. So while they righted their wrongs, I spent a good 2 hours furious.

The breakfast at Tavern 17 was awesome (we had an omelette and waffles), but the bar was kinda lame, although reasonably priced. My boyfriend used the gym, which was big and had tons of equipment, and the club lounge was standard.

Despite the mix-ups with the rooms, I'd definitely stay there again.

My boyfriend booked a surprise trip for us in Philly and this was the hotel he chose. The hotel was in a pretty central location in Philly but other than that, there was nothing special about this place.

Since there was absolutely no parking (Philly is just terrible if you want to drive/park), we had to use the valet parking, and had to constantly call and request to pick up the car whenever we wanted to do something (got awkward after a while). The hotel lobby had a fancy air to it, but we never spent time in it. There was a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel but we never went there - I'm sure it was overpriced.

On our particular floor, the ice machine was broken so I had to go up one floor to get ice. Our view from our one window was of a brick wall and some of the street down below. It also seemed too close to other windows nearby, so we kept the shade closed for most of our stay.

Oh, and be careful to put the Do Not Disturb tag on your door if you plan on sleeping in. The maids were pretty persistent on knocking on the door in the morning, and I had to run to the door in a stupor to make sure they didn't open the door on us.

If I decided to stay in Philly again, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel. I had a great time in Philly, but the hotel was just a place to sleep - nothing more.

We picked this hotel because it was dog friendly, and on that I can give it stellar reviews. From the maintenance staff that came to our room several times (will explain) to the other guest we encountered riding up and down the elevator, no one seemed the least bit put of by the dogs being there. Usually we get one or two comments about having Pitt mixes, but we didn't get one. Even people with kids came up asking if they could pet the boys, which rarely happens. Overall Philly rocks just based on its pet friendly people.

The hotel itself was nice, I wouldn't' recommend the bar (see Tavern 17 review). The room advertised a sleep number bed, ours didn't work. The room itself was nice but a bit small. The bathroom was large and looked like it had been updated within the last few years. We did have to call maintenance a few times, the first being 15 minutes after we arrived because the bathroom light stopped working. Upon review they realized the entire light fixture had blown, not just the bulb, but since it was the end of the workers shift he'd have to have the next people fix it. The next shift took care of it with no problem, and this guy was super nice to the dogs who he allowed to stay out of their kennel.

He had to return the following day after I discovered the tub didn't have the piece that stops it up for taking a bath. I take a bath everyday, so this is a big deal to me. It took him about five minutes to rectify the problem.

The third call was after we determined that the noise that kept us up most of the night was obviously the air conditioner malfunctioning, since the room started to feel warm. We called and the maintenance people and after several trips, about 30 minutes, the problem was solved after they switched out the entire unit, which had frozen up.

My only other complaint was that when we got our bill the food credit we verified we'd receive which was part of our booking package, wasn't taken off and no one ever really apologized for the inconvenience of all the maintenance issues, which amounted to one a day for the three days we were there. When we got the food credit we discussed the maintenance issues and also received a $50 reduction on the bill, for a savings of $75 so I'm not super upset.

The major plus is the location, especially if you have pets. Close to the square, lots of restaurants, the market. I would stay there again just based on the location and the pet friendliness.

Stayed here through work. My usual hotel experience is the holiday inn so I found this place pretty awesome. Free bottled water, free wireless and free copies/fax in the office center were pretty awesome. Room service is also reasonably priced if u need a drink or a snack before going out. Staff was really friendly too. I've been asked at least twice how my stay is going by random staff. Pretty cool. Sad there's no pool. But the location is unbeatable.

    Bedbugs!!!

My wife stayed here for a business trip in Philly from 1/27-29/2010. According to her price, location, and service were all great. Until she went to sleep in her king bed room on the penthouse level.

After the first night she woke up with random itching sensations and didn't think much of it because there was no obvious bite. The second night she woke up during the night noticing itching in different areas. This time she noticed bites where she had itched the night before.

And in bed, she found an actual bedbug! The manager was not very understanding and gave her a voucher for only one-night stay (after two nights of discomfort).

The Rittenhouse Square Grande Dame Has Still Got It!

We stayed at the Warwick over the weekend while staying in Philadelphia at the end of February.  The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located ~ it is right next to Rittenhouse Square, known for its shopping and beautiful architecture.

They are undergoing a remodel right now so it would be best to hold off until it's completion.  They are remodeling the lobby currently, and it is one of the draws of the hotel.  I have visited the lobby on pervious trips to Philly and loved it; I can only imagine how much better it will be once they have completed the remodel.

We stayed in a remodeled room; they now feature the Sleep Number bed in all of their rooms.  I'm not sure how much I liked the Sleep Number bed, but the room itself was very nice.  The staff was wonderful and helpful in every way.  We really enjoyed our stay at the Warwick.

I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Beautiful lobby and great customer service.  Bellhops were very informative.  Convenient location central to everything.  However, my boyfriend and I are not a fan of the sleep number bed.  We awoke with sore back and hips.  And the room had a peculiar musty smell.   Additionally, the business center's two computers need a lot of work as both were very slow.

Would I stay here again?  If the price is right, yes. However, if another hotel within the same location is having a special, then probably not.

I stayed here for a business trip and it was a very pleasant stay.  The location was awesome, just a couple blocks from an array of great shops.  Actually, everything in downtown Philly was within walking distance, but this seemed to be a prime location and I'm glad I didn't stay on the other side of town.  The lobby was beautiful and the service was very good.

I really liked the Sleep Number beds even though I didn't really do any adjustments on them.  Whatever the default setting was was very good for me.  I slept very well except for one Saturday morning when the jackhammers across the street went off at 7:30am.  It's a good thing I had to get up anyway, otherwise I would have been way more pissed!  The hotel also has wi-fi, which was fabulous.

A mediocre experience at a nice property.   The facility was nice but the service lacked.  This is so sad because better management can enforce better service.  The concierge lounge was a converted room and it felt like it.  The food in the CL was poor, not even mediocre.  I ate breakfast downstairs and it was awful.  Dirty dishes, they messed up 4 things on my guest and mine plate.  They couldn't find my guest valet car (which cost $20 for an hour!!!!!)  They are lucky they are not getting one star but the actual physical property is nice.  You can do much better than this property.

This hotel was fine - but I have to say that I don't think I'd stay here again.

First off, we were upset that we were placed in one of the few rooms that didn't have a sleep number bed...not a huge deal, and we knew the hotel was packed because we planned our Philly trip months before we had any idea that the Phillies would be playing in and winning the World Series

Second of all, I have not been in a hotel ever that had windows that opened (I guess there is no risk of suicide or accidental falling here??) and were not screened with something (I am standing with nothing but a bra on looking out the window, and I am looking straight at another person on the other side of the L shaped building....sweet)

    Third, the bath products sucked

I did like the location, the historic building, the very nice staff, and the bar, but like I said, once is enough for me here!

We stayed here for an evening under a Travelzoo promotion - $89 per night plus taxes, including the room, two free drink coupons, a late checkout (4 PM) and 50% off your next stay.  I probably would have rated the hotel had I paid the Advance Purchase Rate.

Check-in was very smooth - front desk person was very friendly & got us checked in quickly.  The lobby was beautiful so I was expecting great things for the room.  However, this was not the case.  At first glance, it was a bit snug (very long but very narrow) but looked neat.  However, after spending some time in the room, it was apparent that they weren't paying attention to the details.  Dirty carpets & window treatments...the headboard to the bed was filthy (though didn't notice until we pulled off the pile of pillows)...mold growing inside the coffee maker (shouldn't the maids check and clean them from time to time?)...hard to close out the light since the curtains would cover the heater and get blown around.  Plus a lot of the furnishings were showing quite a bit of wear.  Now, for $89 a night in Center City, I just cleaned what I found dirty that bothered me, but it's disappointing that a nice hotel can't keep it's act together...I stay in a lot of moderately priced business hotels (LaQuinta, Fairfield, Courtyard, etc) and have never seen this many issues in a room at a much lower price point.

Plus the morning was pretty rough - we couldn't enjoy the late checkout because the noise coming from the other rooms was so loud.  I don't think the patrons were being loud but just that the walls were super thin.  We finally gave in around 10 am and checked out.  The man at the front desk checked us out and wished us a pleasant stay.

I was surprised based on the amount of noises heard from the other rooms that the windows seemed to be pretty well insulated - the level of street noise was very reasonable.  Upon the 10th floor, you'd just hear the occasional honk or truck.

I guess I know why the room was discounted so much.  I would stay again at that rate, but if I needed to pay full rate, I would try another hotel in the area.  I'd say that I'd stay here again soon with my 50% coupon, but alas, it was never presented to us.  I'm wondering if perhaps we were given such an icky room because of our low rate.
