I'm a closeted Quiznos fan, outing myself currently. It's just like Subway, but fancier! The veggie sub, usually toasted, comes piled with crisp garden dwellers as well as olives (hold the mushrooms for me, thanks) and a healthy dose of guacamole. I don't bet it's actually all that healthy. I mean, their vegetables are not high quality so don't pack a good punch of vitamins, minerals, etc., and the ingredients in the sauces and breads are probably in the same vein; however, it's a tasty treat and a better alternative to most quick fixes.

This location is usually super busy midday, with the English Second Language students from the school above congregating during lunch hours. The staff are pretty quick, whipping through sammies and getting customers acquainted with the sub of their choice in good time.

The prices are good, and you can choose between a variety of sizes, which is super nice especially if you're not extremely hungry. My favorite part? The sauce and pickled peppers bar, where you can help yourself to condiments and yummy garnishes.

I wasn't a believer until recently but now I'm converted. Subway still holds "best road trip pit stop" position in my heart, but Quiznos is sneaking in providing a sexier version of the sub!

Definitely a step above your average sammich joint!

I particularly recommend the vegetarian although I get them to hold the onions. Pretty overpowering... Yummy guacamole!

The broccoli and cheddar soup is a nice addition as well!

I love the idea of mass produced food with any sort of social conscience, and that's why I'm a recently recruited Quizno's fan. It's clear from the menu that this isn't some Fast Food Burger joint trying to appear healthy, they have genuinely healthy sandwiches, flat bread pizzas, wraps and soups (if you watch your portion sizes). The menu boasts many items under 500 calories and a complete list of nutritional information for all food items is available online. The Chicken Carbonara (which comes with chicken, mozzarella, bacon, mushroom and Parmesan Alfredo sauce) is one of the widespread (and my personal) favorite.

For those who aren't familiar with Quizno's, and are more acquainted with how Subway operates, a first visit here can be confusing, as it was for me. There are a variety of subs that unlike other sandwich joints, are ordered with all the vegetables on them. By that I mean there are basically a list of vegetables in the sub description, and rather than specify which ones you'd like to have you only designate the ones you don't want. In a way this method is more efficient, there is less of a process when ordering, but make sure you pay attention so that you don't get left with black olives that you meant to have removed.

Hot Hint: Want some Quizno's without leaving home? This location now delivers from 2pm-9pm!

There should be a name for healthy Fast Food. That's it. Healthy Fast Food. This would explain places such as Quiznos. When I first tried it I was a loyal customer to Subway. But I abandoned my loyalty to Subway with the first bite into a Quiznos sub.

But what I love the most about Quiznos is that they keep coming out with new products that are fantastic! Their Torpedoes are a lot of fun, very filling and don't make me feel like I'm breaking the bank or my waistline. I love their pizza as well and have ordered that probably fifty times.

I have always been pleased that Subway gave me the choice of choosing what toppings I would put onto my sub but at the end of the day, when its lunchtime I don't want to put a lot of head-work into my meal and would love it for someone else to do the thinking for me. Quiznos is great that way because everything is already preselected. They can take almost anything off of it if you need to but I never feel like I need to ask.

The staff at this Quiznos is alright. They are a wee bit slow but never turned me off enough to not come back again. So I'll be a forever faithful customer and will never head back to the competition.
