Review from Alicia C.
Hamilton, ON
I usually have my Quiznos subs delivered from the 841 Upper James location and want to start this review by stating that the Quiznos at 841 Upper James is MUCH better for delivery services than 1508 Upper James. This review is only pertaining to the 1508 Upper James Street location.
Now, to start:
I have a pretty simple order. A foot-long veggie sub with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. The first time I ordered from this location I received this sub but also got a TON of onions, olives and mushrooms. I don't even know how it is possible to get additional toppings I didn't order. I can't eat mushrooms and to be honest, after picking all of these unwanted toppings off, there was STILL so much stuck in the melted cheese that I had to call and have my order delivered again the RIGHT way. I understand people make mistakes and this didn't deter me from ordering from them again.
Well, last night my boyfriend and I did order Quiznos again. We tried to call our usual Quiznos location but they were busy and we resorted to 1508 Upper James. I ordered my regular veggie sub and my boyfriend ordered the chicken carbonara sub.
We called the subs at 4:56pm and were told that they would take about 30-40 minutes (a little long to wait for two subs but again, we understand that delivery isn't always fast or easy). My boyfriend tried to pay using a credit card, which would have been fine, but you have to process the payment over the phone or they won't deliver the subs. He told the girl on the phone the 16-digit credit card number and she took it and hung up. About 2 minutes later she called back, stating that the credit card number didn't work. We gave the number again and was told it was fine.
We received 4 more calls in the next HOUR from the young girl there who did not know what she was doing. The credit card finally went through after her FIFTH time trying. The subs were finally delivered at 6:21pm. Yes, that's right folks, it took almost an hour and a half to have two subs delivered (we live about a 10 minutes drive from the location we ordered from). When the subs arrived my boyfriends chicken was cold and my sub was so soggy I only ate half of it.
Overall, if you want to pay $30 for two subs and wait an hour and a half to get it, only for it to arrive cold, soggy and inedible, this is the place for you. However, if you like to get your money's worth and eat warm subs in a reasonable amount of time then I suggest either walking into the Quiznos yourself or ordering from another location. The fact that I ordered from this location only twice and had screw-ups both times only shows me that my third time would be a disappointment, which is why I will never EVER order from this Quiznos again.
