Don't miss this unique, old world, family owned and run Portuguese winery in Oliver, BC. The absolute finest Bordeaux blend in BC, Canada. Stunning wine tasting room with meditteranean feel. A must see on your Okanagan wine tasting tour!!

Quinta Ferreira refers to the five members of the Ferreira family. You got it, this is a Portuguese-Canadian family-run estate winery. You can find some really great value in their wine shop.
Usually you'll have of the family members pouring the tasting samples for you, which is fabulous if you have any questions. I love how they have an oaked and an un-oaked Chardonnay! You can taste them side-by-side as part of your wine education to see how oak can change the final product.
Their 2006 Black Sage Red ($16.90) is a bargain, everyone in our tasting party enjoyed its spicy bouquet and mellow mouthfeel. And their Obra Prima ($35) made the medium red 100 Best Values on Vancouver Magazine's 5th Annual Wine Awards in 2009.
The winery is quite new and the tasting room is beautiful. There's some nice art displayed, I think it has also been created by a member of the family.Listed in: South Okanagan Wineries
