For me, stepping through the doors of Quicksilver on Robson was a bit of a trip back in time and space. My first visit to a Quicksilver store was back in 2002 (it almost hurts how long ago that was...) in Oxford, England of all places, where I had a friend who worked and a place I inevitably spent time in. What brought me back was the mirror image interior of the store in Oxford and the store on Robson. The main level is men's apparel and the upstairs, ladies, with a sitting area and magazines, should your weary other-half need a break from the shopping frenzy.
Quicksilver is the purveyor of fine apparel and accessories for all of those rad outdoor pursuits that I have tried at least once and at one point, did quite a bit of. From skateboarding, skiing, snowboarding and surfing, Quicksilver stocks not only hip and cute apparel, but functional equipment and accessories for the aforementioned sports. More on the pricey side, there are frequent sales and it is definitely worth it to wait if you find something worth the price tag!
Quicksilver now also carries a line of Eco Friendly men's and women's tops and shirts, along with the Kelly Slater for Quicksilver line of men's apparel and accessories. -
Review from Allison F.
While you can walk through most of the store without encountering a single employee, this location provides a good variety of men, women, and children's clothing and the staff you do find are usually very helpful. It's surprising to walk in to a store that has more men's stock than women's but I appreciate being able to find everything from snowpants to flip-flops here.
Their e-commerce website offers more stock than what is in store and with free shipping but it's always nice to visit the store to see what's new and feel beachy even in snowy February.
Watch out if you purchase a gift card and want to use it at a different location as we tried this with a Christmas gift and they weren't able to accept it in Victoria.
