Review from Hootie J.
Vancouver, BC
We were invited on a Christmas cruise (we mistakenly thought it was the carol ships) on The Queen of Diamonds, I have been on this ship before, and she has not gotten better with age.
I don't know what our tickets cost, but it was to much, billed as a three hour tour it was more like a half hour cruise followed by 2 hours zigzagging between ships anchored in English Bay.
We had cold turkey on a croissant, self serve bar manned by the slowest bartender in Vancouver
I wouldn't even recommend it for tourists because you see so little of the city -

What they said ... glad the company we were with was great. Some paint, washing off the bird poop and an adjustment to the route would improve the trip greatly!

Review from Toby A.
Vancouver, BC
I attended an evening boat cruise on an early Friday night recently. I had high expectations as had heard from friends that boat cruises in Vancouver's Bay were great events. I was unfortunately rather disappointed after our cruise. Some of the highlights to make this trip so memorable, in the wrong way that is, include:
- Slowest bar service ever, line of 25+ people at first
- Poor audio on the boat, top deck had a constant "whine/static" through the speakers all night
- Servers were un-interested, and sloppy. One was eating the sausage rolls as he served them!
- The cruise route, driving straight out into the bay and stopping in the middle of the tankers is not my idea of a scenic route.
- The food, ive never seen bacon wrapped scallops look so un appetizing (dripping in bacon fat)
- No head room, ceilings were 6'3" high in places.
It was unfortunate that what had the potential to be a great networking event, failed to deliver on so many levels.
