Review from Katie C.
Calgary, AB
Queen Elizabeth is one of the smaller high schools in Calgary, the reason being that it's a junior high and senior high all rolled into one. It has a number of different programs that it offers, from the regular stream to the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education), to the program that had support for deaf and hard of hearing kids to the ballet super queen program. It dealt with a lot of stuff. It was a little cramped, and a bit maze-like, but if you spent a lot of time there you figured it out. The school wasn't big enough to have a football team, so we shared one. All in all, an all around ok school.
Some loved it and thrived in it, others detested it, and all the different programs resulted in a decent amount of stratification which probably wasn't that different from other High Schools. I could send my kids here without fear for their physical well being, and probably with the assurance that their brains were growing too.
